DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. NOT REPUTABLE!!! Ulises and his company were scheduled for a dinner party at our home, which was planned in detail dating back to June. I confirmed on Tuesday and several emails went back and forth about tonight’s dinner party for 8. Ulises never showed up and never notified me of any delays. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. NOT REPUTABLE!!!
2−2−16: I am curious why Ulises is now responding. The reply provided yesterday (many months after the issue happened) is not accurate. No call was made to my home, cell or work prior to never showing up. That just is not true. The person who had the event prior to mine on the same Saturday contacted me the following week to share her horror story of how this company ruined her parents 50^th anniversary party. They literally ended up ordering pizza from Pizza Chief to feed a lot of upset guests. I believe she took action via small claims court. Important to say that Ulises clearly double booked both events, as it turns out our events overlapped by several hours. I am pleased to say Casa Pacifica refunded my money. Ulises also refunded the $ 80 dollars I paid in advancer

Ulises and Sliced Tomato team did a FANTASTIC job catering our bachelorette dinner party in Ojai. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, healthy and beautifully presented. Ulises made the whole process easy and seamless for me, accommodating all our requests and providing great suggestions and menu choices… especially for a picky group of women!
Everyone was really impressed and we knew the food was made from love. Delish!

Ulises graciously helped us out by providing his services at our Walk MS event in Conejo Valley. We easily had 900 hungry people and little in the way of supplies, as we were in a park. Sliced Tomato’s Catering was extremely professional and very prepared for the setting and clientele. Ulises did his research and crafted a delicious menu suited for the needs of our participants.
The incredible aroma of fresh spices, lime and chili sauce was enchanting, as Ulises prepared a delectable salad of glass noodles and stir-​fried vegetables. The vegan, gluten-​free, low-​fat meal did not disappoint and was enjoyed by all participants. I would certainly recommend Sliced Tomato’s Catering to anyone looking impeccable service and a thoughtful meal.

I can’t believe the taste and level of professionalism this company brought to the table! From start to finish working with them for my wedding was a breeze! I told Ulises a type of food I wanted and he came up with an elaborate menu that seems like it would be served at a five star Restaurant, and the price was amazing! Also, for the brides out there (sliced tomato’s did my wedding) this company is so efficient and independent. I didn’t even have to call and make sure he knew where everything was or what to do– I looked and he was there already set up! The servers were so friendly, professional, and polite– I honestly can’t say enough good things! Oh, if you get a chance you have to try their muscles with cilantro cream sauce– I can’t get over how amazing they are! Wish there were more stars to give you– I’m now looking for an excuse to have an event to use you at again!

These people catered our wedding reception and a brunch the next day. If you could award six stars I would. Incredible food! They were all very professional and helpful. They showed up and took care of everything without needing any direction. Great service, great food… use them!

The greatest thing about this company is how it can personalize what you want! I love food! I am a huge foodie which does make me picky. I want perfection and I found it here! You can meet with the Chef Ulises who will go step by step with you on what suits you best for your warm welcome back at home to that special occasion of ‘I’m about to get married!’
Amazing all around! It also helps that there is a great knowledge of vegetarian food. Being a vegetarian myself and having get togethers I have to be able to provide for all my omnivores and herbivores. Of course taste and health is important for both sides!
On top of it Chef Ulises does offer cooking classes. I always get the question on what i eat as a vegetarian and Chef Ulises does amazing job on how elevated flavors in vegetarian food can be! Absolutely magnificent! Honestly there is such a wide spectrum of flavors and types of food that it is outstanding. Spend some time with Chef Ulises and he will take you on a journey of food that you never thought was possible.
And don’t be worried he knows how to cook for people who eat meat as well. I was lucky to have tasted his food at a Chili Cook off out in Thousand Oaks. It was spectacular! He had something for everyone. All of us kept coming back with more friends because of the magnificent flavors and how new it was. He had an amazing smokiness that he had created right then and there with different types of wood. It was all fresh and made on site which was very impressive. Not everyone can do that and it tells you that quality means a great deal to him. Freshness right at your finger tips is rare these days and especially at a good price! I highly suggest people try out Chef Ulises because he offers high quality food and in various ways. Just ask him what you have on your mind and he will do the best to accommodate you! I would not go anywhere else!
