Span Thrift Shop

Friendly staff, but very limited inventory. Short hours, but never very busy so always decent parking.
I’d recommend shopping here.

This is a small little thrift store behind the Vons on the outskirts of Ventura (on the West side). I hadn’t been in their store since they moved here from their previous (main street) location and I was pleasantly surprised.
I had thought of them as being too pricey for me, but I found the prices to be VERY reasonable during my visit last week. I bought several things including a really big wedding gown for only $ 5! Including the veil! It’ll be great for a photo project! I also bought a small animal terrarium and a really awesome puzzle toy for my friend’s dog. The ladies that work here were all very friendly to me and forward in telling me what qualified for their half off special prices that day.
I will definitely come back!

This is by far the most fun yet casual thrift store I’ve ever been to. Everything was organized very neatly and easy to find with labels on boxes and racks. The volunteers seem to be really passionate about their work which made my time in their store special to me.
I came on a day when they were offering a bag full of clothing, purses, etc. for just ten dollars. After looking at a few racks of clothing I knew I couldn’t pass this deal up! I managed to find lots of new clothing and everything fit when I got home so I was very excited about that. When I came up to the register to pay the adorable shop ladies told me to go back for more and gave me tips on how to fill up my bag better. I ended up with 20 pieces (comes out to be 50 cents each) and I love them all. I will be back to visit again soon!
