Nice store, great selection but prices are outrageous. You can much better deals on ebay. Did not see a single deal !!!

could have been a fun shopping trip, but NO! had my service dog with me and she was wearing her jacket. sign outside said dogs welcomed. man behind counter said it was okay to come in(hello? sign outside) and i said i would take her jacket off because she would be more comfortable. NO! the guy said leave it on! okay, okay. moving on: lots of their stuff is behind glass cabinets, and certainly there isn’t a whole lot of room to move about. very, very small isles. don’t forget to look up. and, that is where i found a gorgeous deco lamp stand at 40% off. the young gal came from behind the counter and seemingly wanted to help get it down for me and ensure it worked using a black light bulb(? what? no regular light bulbs?) i wanted it. so, cruised through the rest o the shop, found nothing else and went to the counter to pay for the lamp stand which was ONLY9 bucks or so! couldn’t beat it! the gal wrote up my ticket, and it was over 19 bucks! i said, whoa! she had included a wooden elephant that wasn’t even mine! i was stunned! and, as i was saying that the elephant wasnt’ mine she said i didn’t have to be so rude!!! ME, RUDE? I THINKNOT!!! instead of arguing(and the man was now standing behind the gal) i said just finish my ticket, let me pay and i would leave. the ticket price fell below the 10 buck minimum to use a visa!!! didn’t see any signage about that??? the gal began to argue with my that this was policy, and it cost them more to process the visa yada yada yada… i said for 42 cents you can’t just take my visa??? nope. i left the store without my lamp stand(it’s okay!!) and the knowledge that the customer service, rudeness of both employees, cramped isles… would never allow me back in to this store again.

I stopped in here briefly with a friend of mine. I wish we had had more time to browse but we were at the end of our parking meter time so we just rushed through. This is a cool antiques store with a lot of awesome finds. I’m in my mid-late 30s and most things here were from before my childhood, though some were from more recently than my childhood too. Overall very neat objects on sale. Prices are as you would expect for antiques — not cheap, but the overall quality of their goods seemed high to me. My friend’s favorite thing here is to look through their LPs. Mine might have been their taxidermy, bones and mounted insect section(which my friend said is gradually diminishing — as if they’re selling things but not adding more to this collection). I like how the store is broken out into themes and hope to visit again soon when I have more time to really appreciate the things here.

This is a fun spot to browse around as long as it isn’t too busy. A lot of the paths are tight and the shop doesn’t have the greatest ventilation. In other words, it can smell like farts. Today was one of those days. I should mention though that I got a brilliant deal on some great barstools!

My wife and I get away to The Cliff House whenever we can. We make it a point to visit Ventura to eat and window shop. Times Remembered is a must every time. We always find something we just have to take home. It’s also a great place to shop for family and friends who appreciate things unique and beautiful. I was motivated to write because a niece of ours just made a Facebook post, excited about her new countertop mixer with which she will make her excellent chocolate chip cookies. The image she used showed her pointing to the appliance. In the background, on her counter, is a cookie jar we purchased at Times Remembered for her housewarming. Drop in and you’ll be amazed.

If you’re into character endorsed stuff(like lunchboxes, cookie jars, collectible toys) this is the stop for you. I don’t know about the pricing as I’m not into those items, but they have a TON of it. If you like Betty Boop(again, sadly, not for me) she’s living there too… I did see a TON of silver jewelry, all kinds. Navajo and American Indian, shell and stone. They have quite a selection of that as well. It’s one of those places where if you’re in the mood you can spend a long time checking each and every vender booth which seems piled to the rafters will all kinds of interesting things… today I lost my patience and kind of got overwhelmed by all of it. There are so many shops in Ventura filled with treasures, you gotta take your time and pace yourself!

Awesome place to browse for old stuff. There are some antiques, but most items are more like second hand treasures. You can easily spend an hour or two sifting through all the pieces and browsing all of the booths. There are a lot of collectibles here locked in cases. The employees are very friendly and willing to open as many cases you like. We found a cool mug for a friend’s collection back in Scottsdale. If you don’t find anything, it’s still a lot of fun to browse all of the cases. Return Factor — 87%

What a fun shop. SOMUCH to look at and take in. Every kind of collectable under the sun is under this one roof. Really take your time to take everything in. From Bakelite and antique jewelry, comics, toys, books, dishes, clothing… just so much great stuff. Take and afternoon and walk around the store for an hour or more. You’ll find something you’ll need to take home with you.

I’m not sure if I’ll ever return to Times Remembered since I don’t frequent the area very often. I did, however, have an excellent experience here and would stop by if I ever had the chance. Looking through what feels like hundreds and hundreds of cases filled with little trinkets is definitely not for everyone. However, I absolutely love it! I found a lot of cool things and ended up picking out a pair of gold shoe clips! Gold shoe clips? Yeah, seriously, I was like ughhh what? Anyways, they actually caught my eye because I thought they were earrings. Since most things are displayed on glass shelves, you can tilt your head at an angle to check out the prices from down below. I wasn’t too sure what shoe clips were so one of the workers explained it to me and I was sold. She was really helpful and the staff seemed so nice. After holding the shoe clips in my hands, I immediately knew they weren’t not some cheap plastic-y thing that would break after a day’s wear. They had a good weight and were very unique looking. This place is not a Good Will or anything like that so the prices are more expensive than what you’d find in your average thrift store. I paid around $ 13 for my shoes clips, but I know I won’t ever find anything like them. I’m really happy with my purchase and if you’re into thrifting, you’ll know to purchase something right away if it catches your eye because it will be gone soon enough. I still think about the most unique pair of aviator sunglasses I found in 2008. They actually folded between the lenses and had a blue gradient. They were gone when I came back two days later :(

This place is huge, you could easily spend over an hour going through all of it. It’s split up in to many different cubby holes basically, each owned by someone else I guess. Stuff ranges from the truly antique, to various toys of the last 20 years, to the reproduced kitsch of Elvis, Betty Boop, John Wayne, etc. It also has a TON of LPs… everywhere. Literally every cubby has it’s own collection of records. Most of the rooms have a discount it seems, some just 10 or 15% up to 50 and 60%. Didn’t buy anything, but plenty of stuff to relive your youth or add to a collection.

This place has tons of Star Wars stuff. Even 80’s Star Wars men!!! Not all of it is the best of the best but it’s still impressive to see so much of it. They have Snoopy, Winnie the Pooh, Betty Boop, Flintstones… everything practically… Most of the stuff is organized into its own section but other stuff is scattered about. There are tin signs, vinyl, lots of jewelry and even really cool tin soldiers. The store is huge. If I had the money I would likely spend hours here. This place is as good as the best and biggest stores in Los Angeles!

Take all of the other vintage and antique shops in Ventura and put them together in one building and you’ve got Times Remembered. I come here for all of my vinyl. I’ve been in about 10 times and have still been unable to flip through all the albums. Tons of other stuff as well. A little lacking in the furniture department if you’re out doing some hunting for the antique furniture.
