Great place to come hang out and have a few drinks. Definitely recommend buying the wine tasting groupon if it is your first time!

This is a great place to spend a summer afternoon. We met a Paper Moon at 4:00PM and grabbed a table on the large patio. There was live music being played by a DJ, which was entertaining, especially when people started to dance. The crowd here is mostly 50+ years, but they know how to have a good time. This was my first visit to Paper Moon and my first winery visit ever. It was nice to be able to sample the wine before buying some. I didn’t care for the red wines much(and I tried almost all of them) and I’m not a fan of white wine, so my wife and I shared a pitcher of red sangria, which was sweet and delicious. For dinner, I ordered an Italian Panini sandwich, which was delicious. It was served with potato chips, which I did not finish. We also ordered some bread, a cheese platter, and a hummus platter. All the food was really good and the atmosphere was just beautiful. It was a great day to do just about anything in the Cleveland area. We’ll probably be back because this was a very relaxing afternoon spent at Paper Moon.

Love the large outdoor enclosed patio and the options of sitting on the picnic tables. Went a couple Friday’s ago and they had a great female singer

Visited to meet up with friends from the Cleveland area. Enjoyed the wine samples, especially the Sailer’s Red, a dry blend of several grape varieties I’d never encountered before, and the Chardonnay, which delivered all the expected characteristics of this grape. Food was delicious — Italian Panini was outstanding. Will definitely come here again! I bought a bottle of the Sailor’s Red to share with family next week. They are connoisseurs of red wine; it will be interesting to hear their opinion of it.

First time there. Nice atmosphere. Very relaxed. Good place to meet up and enjoy some vino. My only complaint is that I was charged two different prices for the same bottle of wine about 45 min apart. Could just be an honest mistake but check your receipts.

While I don’t want to go as harsh as some of my other Unilocaly friends and say this place is «forgettable», I will say it has some stiff competition with other local Ohio Wineries. In the past I’ve focused most of my local winery explorations on the east side(i.e. Geneva, Harpersfield, Madison, etc.) but on a very special journey westbound, my beau and I found a relaxing getaway here. Now – I know it gets a bit annoying when folks write reviews about their story and not just about the facts, but I do believe that your particular«story» can make or break your experience. In my case, my man and I were looking for a quiet place to get away from some cruddy situations in the CLE area. This winery offered up the perfect reprieve from the city. It was easy to find, boasted plenty of both heated patio and outdoor seating with a firepit. There was indoor seating with live music, as well. Now onto the facts: The wine is on the sweeter side here, mostly whites. This is understandable with my knowledge of grape-growing and Ohio wines. I can’t remember the name of the drier white we had, but we finished a bottle and both had an additional glass – so obviously no complaints there. It was complex, yet easy to drink. Not very sweet, but fruity and not too tart. We also ordered hummus and a cheese plate. Now – if you’re not familiar with the atmosphere of most local wineries, you might be expecting a cheese and charcuterie plate like you’d find in Ohio City or whatever. That’s not really how these places tend to roll. Actually, there’s only one local winery I know of that makes all their food, bread included, from scratch, and that’s Harpersfield on the east side. Anyways… this one came with a smoked cheddar and 1 – 2 other relatively normal, friendly cheeses. It also came with a box of cookies and what seemed like Townhouse Crackers. The hummus was pretty average – nothing to write home about, but I did enjoy the olives. Both snacks were perfect for soaking up wine. The service was also pretty friendly. The gal at the counter hit on my guy, which I thought was cute. Really she just gave him a compliment. You go in to order your food and wine at the counter, so there’s really no customer service, but she was very nice. It’s also really close to the Holiday Inn Express, which is pretty much the only hotel over there.

We visit here about every other time we come back to Cleveland to see family. Most wineries in Ohio can make the sweet grape juice wine pretty well, what sets Paper Moon aside from the others is that they also make some good drier wines. If you are a sweet fan, The Harvest Blend is a good wine choice, as is their Niagara. I do not like dry white wine, but they have a carmenere I enjoyed as well as a Zin that was good. Good food selection for a winery. Had an apple/pumpkin soup in the fall that was awesome. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. The tasting pours are a little less generous than other places I’ve been, but they are also only $.50.

It was’t anything special. I don’t much drink much wine, so keep all of that mind. I’m not judging them much besides that I found most of their reds too sweet. I went on a wintry Saturday night. Indoors, there’s two rooms: one that is much more homey and like a log cabin with the wooden walls. Another, adjacent room has a very large(20+ ft.) ceiling that reminded me of being in an indoor track. In here, there’s plastic foldable white tables and chairs to sit and despite the subzero temperatures outside, it was warm and toasty. They also have free water that is self-serve and a small menu of sandwiches. When I ordered the samples at the«bar area»(note this isn’t a bar, there’s no seating at this bar area). The friendly and responsive server poured my wines into the same glass a few times. It didn’t bother me, but oenophiles would likely cringe. Besides wines, there was a sangria and a pink limonade that I believe had wine in it. No beer or liquor if you’re not a wine fan. The prices nor the atmosphere is very sophisticated, a glass and a flight of 4 – 5 was no more than $ 18. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop here but there’s 2 – 3 other wineries within a few miles in the area so I would stop here if I was doing a wine tour of Lorain County and Northern Ohio.

This is a fantastic place. There is tons to do, whether you want to sit inside and listen to the music or enjoy the bon fire while having a cigar. Yes, Ohio wines are just starting to compete, but I pick up a case of wine every time I’m in the area. They do produce some good wine, and it’s local. Everyone needs to try it !

This is a great winery. Tons of outdoor and indoor seating. They serve snacks/appetizers/flat bread pizzas and such. My favorite wine here was the Pink Lemonade wine. However, you can only buy it by the glass or pitcher! I wish it was by the bottle, or else I would have bought a few to go. Great place to go to with friends or family!

I love the Paper Moon Vineyard/Winery. It is such a romantic and casual place. The inside décor is lovely; lots of stone and iron accents with green ivy. The bar is very large and has at least 4 – 6 people behind it, ready to pour you a sample or provide you with a bottle and glasses. My parents and I came here on 10⁄6 on our way to Cleveland airport, so we just wanted a little alcohol to calm the pre-flight jitters and a snack or two. We ordered a cheese plate and a hummus appetitzer. Both came out quickly(as expected) and hit the spot. We shared two bottles of the Lake Erie Niagara, which was so delicious. If you are into sweet, white wine, this bottle is for you. Samples are $ 1 each, or you can just go ahead and buy the bottle — $ 8 to $ 11. They also have a small gift shop inside. If you are in the area, stop at the vineyard — it’s located right off of Route 2, and easy to find. They have a very large sign by the road that you will see right away.

Really love this place. Live music on weekends and some really drinkable wines. The old vine Zin is my favorite. On my way back there tonight.

I found Paper Moon to be, sadly, forgettable. I really liked the winery itself, their tasting room and the grounds but the wines were flat, one note and not at all complex. No amount of time aging in the cellar is going to help these wines out. All the reds taste the same and the whites are either cloyingly sweet or so heavily oaked that you can’t get an ounce of flavor on your tongue or a hint of any scent except oak. Also, the server seemed incapable or unable to tell us anything about the wines at all.

Having a glass of their Riesling right now. My wife and I moved my sister from NYC to Austin last year. As a part of our road trip back we stopped by Vermillion and visited. They have an amazing story and a great business. Very inspiring and incredibly hospitable to us. I recommend stopping and enjoying a meal and some sangria on a nice hot summers day. Grab a bottle or two to take home as well.

Paper Moon has a very nice ambience… the service was just so-so, but the wine tasting was definitely fun. Try the Old Vine Zinfandel
