Simple Pleasures Cafe

For Valentine’s Day 2016, I had the good fortune to select a restaurant in Vermilion, Ohio we hadn’t yet tried. What a great find. Simple Pleasures Café is located just west of the downtown crossroads of Main and Liberty on the north side. My wife, daughter and I dropped in mid-​morning to find this great place. I started with a Bloody Mary, while the girls went the Mimosa route. We were all quite satisfied. For breakfast, I had the Lumberjack, and if you’re hungry, this is the ticket. A great sampling of Bacon, Two Eggs, Sausage, Hash Browns and French toast. Bring your appetite. Both my wife and daughter reported that their meals were also excellent. The restaurant was very tastefully decorated inside and the staff was very accommodating and attentive. All in all, the best breakfast I’ve had in Vermilion. I would highly recommend Simple Pleasures Café and cannot wait to go back and try lunch and dinner, both of which looked to have a very nice selection. A great place to drop anchor!

Dined here for a Valentine’s breakfast with my folks, and we had a really nice experience.
The atmosphere is great — wood plank walls, a bay window, retro globe lighting, nature stone flooring, and local art featured all around.
Between our three meals, we sampled the coffee, Bloody Mary, mimosas, French toast, quiche, bacon, eggs, toast, omelet, and fruit, and enjoyed everything; nothing over $ 10 on the breakfast menu.
It’s a nostalgic location, too — right in historic downtown Vermilion within walking distance of some little local retailers. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, and we all left having really enjoyed the experience. Anytime family convenes in Vermilion, I’ll suggest Simple Pleasures.

Took the family to dinner here. We ordered the coconut shrimp, hangover burger and the cowboy burger. All were excellent. In will be back.

Stopped in today to grab a late lunch and glad I did. Very quaint and Anthony and Frankie went out of their way to take care of me. Custom made a plate for me since they weren’t busy and we had great conversation. I highly recommend this awesome new addition to vermilion!

This little café is refreshing in this town, a nice addition. The staff is out going and friendly. Food is good, nice selection of wine and beer, price is right!

Average food, was double charged for 4 soft drinks @ $ 2 each, staff could not figure out how to fix after 10 min so they handed me back 2, $ 1 bills. Many better places to eat around.

I have dined here about 10 times in the last month or two and have yet to be disappointed with anything I’ve tried. The mandarin orange chicken salad was a perfect, light summer salad. The BLT has plenty of crisp bacon on Texas toast. The chicken Caesar wrap is full of tender chicken breast with just the right amount of dressing. Their hand-​cut fries are amazing. They serve wine, beer and liquor as well. Try the peach bubbletini or Bellini. Both are super refreshing. Great, friendly service every time I come too.
