This is one of the few stores around for miles. As a teen Id walk here then back to my house so I could smoke cigarettes. It was about a mile both ways. Now it’s a little escape from the family reunion we were attending. It’s in the middle of nowhere so you occasionally get to see grazing elk and antelope. We came down for snacks and ice on a few occasions. The gas pumps are really old. They are working relics practically. They don’t sell lotto tickets. You have to go down to Stanford’s for those. The clientele are nice. This is one of those places were the locals hang. Not all of them but a few. It used to be closed on Sundays because Mormons owned it. I believe it’s open on Sundays now. Probably because the main road is busier. It’s a really interesting place to see. It’s a living breathing antique with that real small town feel.
