We stopped by for lunch during our road trip back to Texas. I had the steak with eggs and fries and it was delicious. My bf had bacon, egg, sausage, waffle. and more(basically everything on the menu) and he ate it all in 30 min. I’m guessing he loved it. Overall, the food was great and the waitress(Felicia) was a sweetheart.

I’m only giving them a 1 star Because their staff was friendly, but the food… Not so much. My husband and I ordered the hamburger steak with salad, fries, & macaroni and cheese. I watched the waitress/cook take things from the refrigerator & heat in the microwave. Almost everything they prepared was pre-made and heated up. Macaroni & cheese, green beans, gravy, etc. I asked for A1 and if anyone is like me, they know the difference. They had put the cheap stuff in the A1 bottle. I’m by all means not a picky eater, but I definitely left feeling robbed & hungry.

Old fashioned country breakfast that’s open 24 hours! A police/state trooper hot spot. We love the all day breakfast with super delicious items for cheap. Not to be mistaken for a gross Waffle House. Usually get their combo with eggs, bacon or sausage, and either pancakes or waffle. Their waffles are incredible. Also tried their chipped beef gravy which was also delicious. They recently changed their home fries to make them every better so I cannot say enough. Nothing fancy here just delicious food, good prices, and an interesting assortment of people since its right off Exit 227 on 81

Great service and staff eager to please, but salads were lackluster and pork chop special was dry, and they were either canned green beans or overcooked. But man, the staff was nice.

Great prices! Good ol’ country breakfast! WAY better than Waffle House. Our waitress was such a sweetheart. The service was great, my coffee cup was never empty and the coffee was fresh not burnt. She was very friendly and very quick with our orders. $ 5 will get you a HUGE breakfast here. I was a huge fan of the eggs and country ham. Why would you NOT get country ham when you are in the stix of Virginia??? Well, maybe if you were a vegetarian… Anyways, this is a very homey country diner with home cooking. That means it has grease! It’s not trendy or glamorous, or even healthy. Go back to the city if you want pristine and clean, a little grease won’t kill you out here.

Waffle Inn, a knock off of Waffle House? Oh, yes. If the name wasn’t an obvious indication of that, the jukebox, restaurant layout, and menu certainly will. The one thing it doesn’t mimic though, is the food. Really, it just isn’t so good. W.H. definitely has something on this place. It’s exactly what you would expect when you envision diner food — boring, greasy, perhaps microwaved more than once. I had the veggie plate including: mac & cheese, macaroni salad, Texas toast, and mashed potatoes with this very interesting gravy. I say«interesting» because when that plate of mashed potatoes was placed in front of me the first thing that came to mind was«plastic toy food!» You know, the kind you can get at a toy store or see some places display. The made from a box mashed potatoes and gravy were okay, mac & cheese was slacking on the cheese and tasted microwaved, and the mac. salad was hopeless — much salt was dumped on it. Oh, and the Texas Toast wasn’t really Texas Toast, it was just regular toast. It was late, we needed food, Subway next door was closed, and I suppose we were feeling curious about this Waffle House wannabe. What is it they say… «Curiosity killed the cat.» Never again.
