Purchased a gift card for my mom and they never gave it to her. Didn’t realize this was the case until a few weeks after the fact. Meanwhile, my mom had been in for treatments around the time of her birthday and was never told she had a gift card from me. The day I called to find out why she hadn’t received the gift, my mom was getting a style and cut at another salon. I asked for a refund of the gift card so I could pay for the services she was currently having that day. They wouldn’t refund the card and never apologized for the mistake. I won’t purchase a birthday gift again from them due to the disorganization this time! What a pain!!!

Nichol is a curly hair specialist. She has been cutting and highlighting my hair for a few years now and is beyond amazing with curly hair. She just completed a freestyle bob with my curly locks and dry cut each ringlet individually so my hair lays perfectly. She is highly trained and continues her specialty training. I recommend her 100%. Also my color is always perfect. We talk extensively about color and she is great at explaining color and skin tone and hair color all as equal importance. She custom mixes an almost carmel color highlight that turns my mouse brown hair to a real eye catcher. I also want to say that the aveda line of hair color does not have the intense eye burning acrid smell of the typical salon products. It also doesn’t burn or feel hot on my scalp either. I won’t go back to the other salons or using a box. It is expensive but worth it.

This was my first trip to Acacia, but it definitely won’t be my last. Alice is masterful with color and she cut my hair exactly as I wanted. The entire staff is courteous, friendly and professional. You will instantly get a very warm vibe from this salon. Looking forward to my next appointment!

By far the worst ever cut and color ever. I went because it is close to my house, however I will never go back. The color is completely unnatural. My cut is so uneven. This past weekend I had family up and everybody commented on how horrible my hair is cut. My stylist did not stop talking about her two kids — I even feel others in the salon were sick of hearing her talk.

came for a long overdue basic cut/style back in early jan… really sweet girl helped me. made me super comfortable. sadly, i wasn’t happy with the final product and the hairdresser was more than accommodating in snipping a few extra locks. left happy and, most importantly, unburdened by my gnarly mop head!

Although I have not personally had the pleasure of visiting this salon, I am writing on behalf of my mother who does not Unilocal but wanted some communication method to let others know of the phenomenal experience she had at this Aveda salon successfully hiding her grays despite a severe allergy! I recently began going to an Aveda salon where I live in CT and urged my mother to try this one near where she lives, as I’ve had great experiences so far with my stylist and love their gentle products. She has a SEVERE allergy to hair color, which is very unfortunate for a woman in her mid-50’s with naturally dark brown hair. Despite my advocating for Aveda, she was very hesitant to go because the last time she had her hair professionally foiled at another salon, the stylist who was very careful accidentally dropped a tiny bit of color onto my mother’s ear and it took her months and several bouts of steroids to cure the blisters that developed from exposure to that one drop, not to mention the foils she applied turned to grey almost immediately after her treatment. However reluctantly, she went to the salon and described her situation with the stylist. Going above and beyond is an understatement compared to how this stylist and the rest of the Aveda staff treated my mother. 5 hours later(extending well beyond the salon’s closing time), after several consultations with Aveda officials from the headquarter offices, the salon manager, and other stylists, my mother’s hair looks BEAUTIFUL. She told me she feels«like a new woman»; she has been so self-conscious about her hair that she had been unsuccessfully staining into a coppery blonde despite her hair being quite naturally dark, and it so relieving to hear the happiness in her voice from someone who has seen her struggle so much with this issue! She was so thankful and overwhelmed with her beautiful hair, she bought every product they used on her hair so as to be able to replicate the exact look at home. She exclaimed«I spent $ 200 on my hair treatments and cut, and I feel like $ 1MM!» I want to say THANKYOU to the staff who took such great care of my mother, feeling good about oneself does wonders for a person, and I urge anyone who’s considering trying this salon to go for it!

I have been going to Acacia for 2 years for massages and my hair and I’ve never loved going to a salon more! Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The environment is like heaven it’s calming and serene I feel like I’m on vacation! Cortney is my hairstylist and comes highly recommended by me! I have never gotten as many compliments on my hair as I do since she has been my stylist! From what I can tell all of the stylists are very trendy and know what is «in» hair wise and what looks good. That is very important to me since I have gone to other salons who do not keep up on trends. The staff here is very well educated on cuts/colors and it shows by their clientele. If you are looking for a great salon spa to use you will not be sorry going to Acacia!

Since moving to this area from another state, I went through the usual rounds of trying to find a salon/stylist who could give me the look I wanted. You know how it goes – some stylists give you a look THEY like, or what THEY think looks good(and I found lots of those here). But at Acacia, I finally found a salon where they listen. Not only do they listen, but they observe. Sue Hutchings, the owner(and my stylist), trains her people to talk with clients and understand not only their look but also their lifestyle. I need a style that looks good blown out, or «wash ‘n wear» when I’m on call. And I’ve grayed a bit now, but I want a color that camouflages gray without needing touch-ups every 4 – 6 weeks. Sue kept my length and gave me some layers around the face, then highlighted with color to blend the gray without creating a root line – perfect!(Bonus: she never attacks me with hairspray at the end, like so many places do!) And it’s not just me – every client I’ve seen there comes out looking fabulous and happy. Really. I’ve also had a massage(wonderful) and a pedicure(likewise) there. This is an Aveda salon, so everything is soothing and smells wonderful. Sue says she’s not a magician, but she really is. Or perhaps more appropriately, a hair-psychic!
