Nestle Toll House Cafe by Chip

This is just sad.
I usually never leave reviews unless I feel very strongly about something being really good or really bad, but this place was really disappointing:(coffee tastes worse like it was a week old and cookies were hard and stale.

This place should be renamed A-​OK café because that’s exactly what it was. Underwhelming yet satisfying, A-​OK. My sister talked this place up because she had said her friends go often and their, «Instagram photos of their ice cream always looks amazing.» Came in around 4pm on a Sunday and there was one woman working behind the counter. There were different kinds of cookies but they were out of several kinds. Perhaps it was because it was Sunday, but in my mind, if you’re out of something, don’t have the tempting labels staring into the hungry customers eyes, move it away. They only had two triple chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips, a bunch of regular chocolate chip cookies, one chocolate chip walnut cookie and three snicker doodle cookies. Again, there were other options but they were out.
Their ice cream selection was pretty minimal. I was actually surprised. For a shop whose specialty is cookies and ice cream, you would think their selection would be impressive. They had your standard, chocolate, coffee, cookie dough, fudge tracks, cookies and cream, vanilla, mint chocolate chip, peanut butter and a few others. The prices were a bit outrageous for what you were getting. $ 5 for an ice cream sandwich? EEK. We went with two ice cream sandwiches, two scoops in a cup and one cookie with two scoops and the total came to $ 18. The coffee ice cream was just okay but the cookie dough was delicious. The people I were with liked their cookie sandwiches. The woman behind the counter was extremely dull and could have made our overall experience better. We were friendly and upbeat, first timers and asking questions and she wanted nothing to do with it. She wasn’t rude, she was just DULL. We left full and satisfied but there is no need to ever come back.

Very disappointing. I was excited to see something new and different in town and that is not what I found. I found cookies that I could have «sliced and baked» at home and Edys ice cream, that I can buy at the local grocery. and the ice cream was freezer burned. I thought the prices were kind of high for what you got, which was nothing special. I won’t be hurrying back.
