The staff was very friendly and efficient. The salon was very clean, which is a must for me. My technician knew how to handle my ticklish feet! That is a rare talent. I recommend the green tea pedicure. Sumptuous!
While we were there an NFL football player came by for a pedicure, so they have some interesting clientele.
I will be back, definitely!

Got a gel mani-​pedi here and I think my nails look great. Very clean facility, good massages, gentle with cutting cuticles and nails. They take their time on serving you even when others start lining in at the door which I appreciate.

I have been visiting the same salon for the last seven months. The experience is normally outstanding. I asked for the deluxe pedicure which has a sugar scrub. I didn’t receive the sugar scrub and the technician was sloppy and dozed off at one point. There was very little effort put into the pedicure, but it actually got worse when it came time to paint my toenails. I had to ask that they be repainted because the first time was awful. The second time was not much better. Each time the entire end of my toe was painted with both the base coat and the nail color. He used the brush and removed some of it but mainly it is still there. Afterwards they wanted to charge me for the deluxe but I told him that I hadn’t received a deluxe pedicure. He then argued with me loudly that I was wrong. I asked for someone else to look at the polish job and see what they thought. The owner who was clearly overwhelmed today told me there would be no charge today and while that is appreciated, I will not be back. Yes, it was a bad enough experience that it completely offset seven months of great service.

Great experience! Staffing is the best. Everybody is friendly and welcoming. My favorite part is the hot stone massage!

This is hands down THE BEST nail salon in Birmingham! I had the best gel manicure that I have ever had and at two weeks looks as good as day one. Still even shiny! Getting my first pedicure today, but Kim is top-​notch and this will be my regular spot every other Friday from now on! I hate spa hopping and after living here for over a year had yet to find one that I loved so much that I could stop looking. Well look no further!

I almost don’t want to write the review so this little gem of a nail salon doesn’t get too crowded but getting a manicure from Le was great! She cleaned up around the nail edge after the polish was applied and took her time to ensure I was completely satisfied. Can’t wait to go back again!

Very pleased with the service here — all staff are professional and pitch in to help each other out and get clients taken care of. The facilities are well laid out and nicely decorated — seems like they really thought about things like where you put your handbag. My nails look great! Will keep going back!

This was my first visit and the salon came highly recommended by a new friend of mine. The place was beautifully decorated and lit. If you are sitting down in one of their luxurious massage chairs and look up, you will see the ceiling painted as a clear blue sky. I’m not the type of gal who goes to salons very often so I was a bit unsure of how to behave and how to ask for what I needed. What’s gel polish, anyway? As I later found out, the answer to a clutzy person’s prayers! The ladies who pampered me like a princess were very sweet and friendly and answered all of my seemingly silly questions with professionalism and courtesy. I end up and getting a french gel mani and french pedi and they look perfect! Finally, when I went to pay, the owner was kind and honest enough to point out my silly mistake when I inadvertently over tipped them. Gotta be careful when carrying that one… This level of professionalism and friendliness is what will have me coming back… in a few months for my anniversary. I promise. Thanks uptown! ^_​_​_​^

Selfishly reluctant to write such a positive review. I had horrendous experiences visiting other «uptown» nail salons in the area (especially one near Whole Foods); however, Uptown Nail Spa is what I *expect* for a gel manicure and pedicure. The gel *actually* lasts 2 weeks (can push it to 3 weeks if I don’t have time to visit), the atmosphere is relaxing, the massage chairs are WONDERFUL, and they allow you to be YOU. For example, I’m not a very talkative client, I prefer to read while relaxing; however, other clients require more attention, and Uptown Nail Spa accommodates each client’s style. Good people, good place. Right now, their service is comparable to what I received when I lived in NYC. Awesome find!

This nail spa is welcome find. The technicians who work here are skilled and pay attention to what you want to have done. The space is super clean and everything is fresh! Love it.
