RD 2 Happiness

I had the best time watching my boyfriend learn to surf! I didn’t try myself. I parked myself under a thatched umbrella in a chair (one of the only publicly rentable ones in Rincon; good to know for sun worshipers cursed with fair skin!) on Marias beach right next to the famed Domes beach. I watched for two hours as my boyfriend went from never having surfed for standing up for a good 5 – 20 seconds in that short of time. Albert gave a good ½ hour lesson on jumping, balancing and pointing out what kinds waves are good to try and catch. I could hardly believe how FAST it was and how much my boyfriend pretty much looked like every other surfer in two hours… AND for only $ 60! It’s pretty good. He’s been at it for 30+ years so I guess he knows his stuff. Next time I’ll try if I can tear myself away from that umbrella.
