Teavana

Wow where do I start. They have samples of the different kinds of tea, and when I went, the employees were more than helpful. They were all very friendly and laid back. Also they didn’t make me feel rushed to cash out. Teavana may be a bit on the pricey side but the service and quality is well worth it.

First, I’ll discuss my regular tea habits. I like tea. I’ll drink it on a daily basis; sometimes by the gallon. I like just about any tea, but iced tea is what I drink most frequently. I like the iced tea I get from bottles, from fountains, from restaurants, from tea bags… even the powdered stuff. It’s all good! It doesn’t have to be fresh, expensive, hot, or cold. I’ll like it. I rarely drink tea from a bag, and never have had loose leaf that I’ve prepared myself… until I entered this place.
When I found this place a couple years ago, I thought it was neat but pretentious. I thought the prices were WAY high (and when I say way high, I mean «how do you stay in business» high). I tried the samples, and it tasted like it was some of the better tea I’ve had. It was also different, containing flavors of fruit and spices. I didn’t buy any because I didn’t have the equipment to prepare loose leaf tea. Plus it was way too expensive. However, I found a nice gift set I wanted to give to someone as a present. It was nice, and even the box was something to treasure.
A while later, I heard the tea was very good. I decided to make a small, fun investment and get some tea. I also had to get some stuff to prepare it, which I thought was too expensive. I bought a little tea of two flavors. Both were good, and lasted a long time. Later, I found similar equipment at Macy’s selling for half the price. When your stuff costs more than Macy’s, I think there’s a problem, since Macy’s stuff is needlessly expensive. Still, the equipment works, and the tea was good. It was neat making tea in a new way.
After doing the math, the tea wasn’t too much more expensive than buying it in a traditional store. In fact, it may be cheaper in some cases. However, I bought some of the least expensive teas they had, so that may be why.
In summary, their tea is very good and I think you’ll be pleased. It’s expensive, but that might be fine depending on your tastes. I like tea, so traditional store bought tea is fine with me, but if you’re looking for something with a unique flavor or just a change, I suggest you give it a try. I don’t know how it compares to other tea places, but this seems to be a favorite among locals.

In the interest of full disclosure I am not Tea snob. I like tea. I drink tea daily. But I like sweet tea, hot tea, and sun tea. I will drink it a cup that I let get cold from 6 hours ago. To me there is green or black, hot or cold, straight or sweetened. Organic Chai with honey and cream is very tasty, Mint with Tarragon, refreshing indeed. But honestly, I regularly drink Lipton. [ I do not drink powdered tea-​like mix, that’s nasty-​ass.]
That said, I am fortunate to have many friends who are sophisticates of Tea in its many forms and various flavors. They love Teavanna. The love the Teas here, and they love gifts of the teas from here.
From my experience, what teas I have tried from here were mostly good. The service here was decent. A good store for tea lovers, tea aficionados, and tea snobs.

So many loose teas so little time. You can get a fantastic cup of tea here hot or cold. You can pick one flavor straight or a blend of a few teas.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable about their products and are ready with fantastic suggestions.
My current favorite is the Honeybush Vanilla (no caffeine) which I drink anytime I want a sweet treat or before bed.
