Nicely laid out store with a lot of folks working there. I think three people asked me five times if I needed any help. The price tags were a bit of a challenge to find and when I did find them, ouch. That NF logo sure must be worth a lot to some folks.

everyone is saying this place is pricey, and it is. But to me, it sort of goes with the territory, if you are looking for cheap clothes, you never should’ve walked through the door here. Frankly, I can only go here when it’s one of their semi-annual sales. And even then, I’m kind of like whoa. That being said, what makes this place is the staff, they are great. If you DON’T want to talk to someone about coats for 45 minutes, then don’t go. Because they will tell you everything you wanted to know about coats and more.

I went into the North Face store to look into getting a new pair of gloves as my current North Face gloves had started to come apart at a few seams. I had looked online previously and It said on the North Face website that I would need send the gloves in, but Joe replaced them, on the spot with no hassle whatsoever. Because I had received such great service I stayed to shop a bit, but I was disappointed that they had no jackets in 3XL, and no boots in size 13. I can understand not keeping the larger jackets, but when I inquired about the boot sizes I was told that«larger sizes go quick». Wouldn’t you want to keep more of them around then? I don’t like to buy shoes online because I have big feet and I end up returning more than half of the shoes I have bought online because they don’t fit right. I would have given 5 stars if they had more sizes in store, overall very good experience.

For being such a large store, obviously dedicated to one brand– they don’t have much. What they do have is out-of-this-world expensive, we’re talking 50 bucks for a winter hat. On the bright side, staff was very friendly.

I don’t know where the friendly staff was when I went but pretty much was ignored. The only guy working was nice and checked to see if I was doing okay. But the bitches he worked with could not be bothered. Go to LLBean across the street. The prices are significantly better with friendlier staff.

Very friendly staff, but very limited styles and colors. I was expecting a more complete selection given the size of the store.

I came from California to rochester. Therefore, I’m not used to very low temperature, so I went directly to the north face because I know they are experts in warm dry clothes. When I first entered the store I was welcomed by one of the staff and I told her my story that I’m not used to this freezing weather. So the lady asked someone to help me and she was very knowledgeable about their products. At the end I bought a load of warm clothes and a pair of shoes. The second visit for me was to exchange my pair of shoes that I used. They were dealing with me professionally and friendly at the same time. I asked for couple of stuff and the guy who exchanged my shoes was extremely friendly and helpful, he gave me a tour around the store. And when I asked about anything he was able to explain about any product precisely and he never push me to buy anything. In fact, he gave some advices to which I need. The only drawback about north face is the high prices relatively. However, I was convinced that the high prices is for high quality and the variety of selections not to mention about the life warranty in most products. All in all, this is the place to go when you want to be warm!

Nice store. The employees are very friendly and helpful, and for the most part knowledgeable about the products. If they can’t answer your questions, they will go grab someone who can. I spoke with an extremely knowledgeable young lady regarding jackets, she really knew her stuff! I found that pretty impressive, seeing as the store has only been open for a couple of months. The whole North Face brand is pretty expensive. But in my experience, and they really are very high quality products. The waterproof gear they have out performs the competition from my experience(though I can’t claim to have tried something from every competitor). The gloves are comfortable and provide the combination of warmth and dexterity that many brands lack. Overall, I recommend their products, and I have not been disappointed yet. It’s a nice place, just be prepared to pay premium prices for a premium product.
