I love phở, this version was not terribly flavorful nor plentiful. I missed the lime(they serve lemon), I missed the basil(they serve cilantro). If you added hoisin and siracha it was passable. We ordered both the shrimp and the steak. The steak was tender. The ginger chicken on the other hand was a flavor bomb exploding your senses. Served on a bed of rice, it could have used more sauce to flavor the rice up a bit. We ordered the baked eggrolls, I wouldn’t recommend the small offerings for the price. The Num Pang classic had a hearty offering of moist pork and pickled veg, the veggie option was also good.

Love, love this place. It’s homemade food literally! The owner’s brother, they’re Cambodian, told me that their mom prepares the phở broth and other dishes at home and they bring them in and do the other food preparations at the restaurant. Very tasty! I highly recommend it. Sandwiches I heard were good too.

Stopped here on my way across Route 90 and was NOT disappointed. The phở was full of flavor, the noodles cooked to perfection, and the mix-in ingredients very fresh. I had beef in mine and my headband, shrimp. Both well prepared. They even have their own fried garlic. Yummmm! A bonus: service couldn’t be better and the owner is super sweet. I hope to come across this place again… I wish they weren’t going to be closed on my return trip.

Good Phở for Victor. Portions are small but will satisfy your appetite. Clean and friendly service. I will be back.

I must admit, it was a a little bit anticlimactic walking into The Soup Spoon. I guess driving to Victor, my expectations were elevated for whatever reason. I did not expect such a casual restaurant tucked away in a business building. Its exterior and interior resemble a coffee shop. A much more casual environment than I originally imagined. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. A regular phở with one add-in is $ 7.50. You can also order extra noodles and broth for an additional $ 1.50. Since i’m a big eater, I made the upgrade. Even with supersized phở, I thought the portions were on the smaller side. This is in comparison to SEA and Phở Duong Dong, my go-to places for phở in Rochester. So portion sizes are smaller, but probably healthier at The Soup Spoon. Despite the underwhelming phở portions, the taste was good. The noodles were the perfect consistency, not too soft and not too al dente. The broth was pretty simple and neutral. It was neither too sweet nor too salty. I would put it somewhere between SEA and PDD in the phở spectrum(yeah, totally making this ish up). PDD being the more traditional Vietnamese broth with rich and slightly salty flavors; SEA having a less traditional and sweeter broth, but still rich with meaty flavors. The broth at The Soup Spoon is not as complex as the other restaurants, but the high quality meat makes up for this. The menu states that the beef comes from the«Seven Bridges Farm», which upon further research is an organic cattle farm in Lima, NY. So if eating organic is important to you, then The Soup Spoon might have the advantage here. My only real gripe is that they don’t give you too much condiments(ie. basil, sprouts, etc). I suppose you can always ask for more, but that’s a bit of a drag. I also ordered a num pang sandwich, which is the Cambodian equivalent of the Vietnamese banh mi sandwich. At $ 5.50 it’s a pretty good value. Not quite up to Whatta Banh Mi standards, but still very tasty. My only issue with their sandwich is that they use toasted Italian rolls instead of more crunchy bread. Overall a good place for phở and sandwiches. Clean, quick and relatively inexpensive. I would frequent more often were it not for the location. I would not drive to Victor just to eat there as there are better and closer options in Rochester. 3.5 stars

I love The Soup Spoon. Fresh, high quality, local, organic ingredients just make their menu selections all the more tasty. New to Phở? You have come to the right place. The owners are wonderful. They are truly happy to guide you as you make your selections. You will not be disappointed. I would eat at The Soup Spoon every day if I could.

The phở is really good! I got the combo with shrimp beef and meatballs. The only thing that didn’t blow me away was the meatballs which were meh. The shrimp is a must have for me. The most delicious thing to me was the baked spring rolls which were the best I’ve ever had. I will be ordering them every time. My wife is their biggest fan now!

Good new option in Victor. It’s far from expensive, but you also don’t get a ton of food. However, I’ve been here twice and never walked out hungry. Their Phở noodles are gluten-free, too. Not a lot of tables, and some odd lounge chair set ups. But clean, fresh and good, inexpensive food. You can do a lot worse than that in Victor!

Friends met in Victor NY at the welcoming Soup Spoon where we enjoyed Asian Fusion style fare starting with crunchy spring rolls or «salad wrapped in rice paper packed with cucumbers, carrots, lettuce and a hint of mint, some added with shrimp» delicious by themselves or dipped in the house sauces; followed by a Phở experience that can be as simple or sophisticated as your palate desires includes beef broth, rice noodles, adding steak, shrimp and/or meatballs that could be personalized with dried or green onions, lemon juice, bean sprouts, and cilantro from an adorning condiment tray. There also are also house specials, salads, sandwiches and vegetarian selections available that several of us also enjoyed. Our meal ended on a sweet note with Banana Rolls that were packed with rice, banana purée and jackfruit steamed in authentic banana skins. This was a delectable experience from start to finish coupled with the freshest ingredients served with great care at affordable prices. I hope you get the chance to visit at 10 Main Street, lower level. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday, and enjoyed delicious phở, a special noodle salad and fresh spring rolls. Everything is fresh and homemade, and learned from the chef, who graciously stopped by to see if everything was OK, that these are all his mother’s recipes. Comfy décor, a welcoming atmosphere, and great service. Don’t miss!

This delicious broth is therapeutic, I’m convinced of it! Stopped in by myself for a quick dinner on a quiet Thursday evening and I was impressed. I felt very welcomed by the person who greeted me and took my order. He took the time to explain the items on the menu, and seemed genuinely interested in my impressions upon checking later to see how my meal was. I opted for the noodle phở. It was accompanied by add-ins: roasted garlic, bean sprouts, granulated sugar, lemon wedge, chopped scallions and cilantro. I added the bean sprouts, scallions and cilantro, and Sriracha and soy sauce which are on each table. The place has a comfortable and relaxing coffee-house ambiance. It is a healthy alternative to fast-food.

I love Phở. It is my ultimate comfort food and I am Southerner to the core. BBQ, grits, etc are hallmarks in our home, BUT, my weakness is Phở, a delicious, savory, clear broth soup with veggies and meat or fish. To die for. I must say these folks do it extremely well. Go and ask about their Phở. Learn and you will love it. Trust me. Plus, the owners are the nicest, most amiable and honest people I have ever encountered. Patronize them for that alone much less that the product they are producing is truly memorable and beautifully layered with depths of flavor. The Soup Spoon, while small with a small menu, is a prize fighter for Phở. Be ready to be knocked out.
