Great asset to Victor! We have been going since day 1– the beers are great, welcoming atmosphere & the brewery is very involved in the community! They provide beer dinners, open mic nights & community brew nights just to name a few. Keep up the great work!

We had an amazing time! The cozy, relaxed atmosphere was invitingly unpretentious. I loved the holiday décor but could imagine a great place for fantasy football drafts, movie nights, or happy hours any time of year. Other than the extensive and varied draft list with seasonal and classic brews, the best part was the game room! The two of us enjoyed a flight each, highlighted by the German Pilsner, Girl Stout Cookie, Dragons Brew, and Not Pumpkin Ale, while playing life-size jenga and cards. We would even bring kids here to play while adults can use the conference room for an assuredly good time for anyone. We will definitely be back!

VB Brewery is by far my favorite brewery in Rochester. They offer a number of rotating flavors on tap(with 1 Nitro Tap), most of which are balanced(they key to a good beer) but at times they may add in some experimental flavors, like dry hopping with hot peppers. As a mug club member, I always go back for the Illuminati IPA and rotating Belgians. The rotating 13 taps offer a wide selection for the new beer drinker to the experienced homebrewer. The next mug club offering is Jan 2016 Pricing is reasonable for flights, pints and both grumbler and growler sizes for taking home.

The VB Brewery has become one of my husband and my favorite places to go. There are 13 beers on tap, a wonderful variety that has something for everyone. Luckily for my husband and I — we love them all. They have select beers they keep on tap regularly and some wonderful and unique beers that they rotate in depending on the season. The people there are low key and very friendly. There is nothing pretentious about this Brewery or the people there. The owners are great people and really care about their customers and that they are enjoying themselves and the beer! I highly recommend The VB Brewery to anyone that loves craft beer. They do flights and pints as well as growler and grumbler fills. My husband and I are so glad we found them. Best thing we did was walk in the front door and got our first flight! Yum!

This place is exceptional for many reasons. First, the owners are incredible people whose main concern is that you get to try great beer such as Girl Stout Cookie and Black Magic IPA to name a few. This place isn’t a sports bar, but what it is, is a great place to try unique and tasteful beers. The company of the bartenders are great, they learn your name and really make you feel welcome. My wife and I moved here knowing no one and Catherine, Tim, tom, and randy have made us feel like family. My wife only liked to drink coors light but now drinks multitudes of different beers. VB offers pints and flights. I can’t express enough how wonderful this place is. This place isn’t about impressing people with their fancy furniture and TV’s, this place is about the beer! And boy, do they know how to brew it! Come check it out!

VB Brewery is a quirky storefront brewery in a newly renovated location that offers a number of rotating flavors on tap, some of which miss the mark. Went out on a Sunday for an unplanned tour of some local breweries around the greater Rochester area, and ended up at VB’s on a whim. It is located just down the road from Blue Toad Cider’s tasting room on Railroad Street. None of us had ever been, so we headed across town to check it out. The web site describes their tasting room as having a game room to keep your kids occupied while you sample beers at the bar. We all thought that was a little weird, but decided to try this place anyway. The front door is located next to Bernardo’s Pizzeria. The interior décor is underwhelming, taking a place from a senior center recreational room. The dark gray walls didn’t give a warm, comfortable feel. Lighting is from harsh fluorescent lamps. The kid’s game room was definitely present, and thankfully not occupied on our visit. A friendly bartender greeted us and issued menus. When we ordered flights, the beer samples were served one at a time, meaning we really couldn’t compare one brew to another. A special Dubbel style was listed on the sheet, but only available to Mug Club members. Why list it on your sheet if it’s not available? I wasn’t encouraged to join the club, I just missed out on what could have been a good beer. Between the three of us, none of the beers we sampled stood out. What should have been rich, dark beers had muted and hidden flavors. Light and hoppy beers were otherwise bland or bitter. The«Up Your Kilt» Scotch Ale was not bad, perhaps the best of the bunch we tried. Some oyster crackers were made available to snack on if you so desired, but full meals can be ordered from the pizzeria next door. If you’re interested in flavorful beers with distinct profiles, then this is not the place for you. Perhaps after a few more months of experimenting and adjusting recipes, VB’s will produce a reason for a return visit. With stiff competition from CB Craft Brewers in Honeoye Falls, and Nedloh in Bloomfield, VB’s has its work cut out for them.
