Don’t go here for eyelash extensions. When I originally made my appointment, I specifically asked if they do INDIVIDUAL extensions. The lady who scheduled the appoint said «ya, they’re individuals.» They aren’t individuals. They’re a combo of clusters and a few individuals. Oh, and the chunks of glue that were like rocks on my eyelids were not pleasant either. I got them removed at Lash n’ Out. They do true individuals. Clusters are so bad for your natural eyelashes. Mine were left very sparse and fragile.

Maya is very good at doing nails. She is the best of the best. I love the way she does my nails, and she is such a perfectionist!

Customer service is always great! and if you need a massage Rudy is super sweet and friendly

2 words. «AMANDA CRANK». now dont get me wrong, j michaels salon is great as a whole. ladies there are so sweet but amanda gave me a wonderful experience which will definitely have me coming to her to do my hair again. i had my hair ruined last year by someone at cache salon so i did research on Unilocal and found this amazing lady. i wanted res in my hair and an updo for prom the next day and let me tell you Amanda is AMAZING at what she does. i was nervous at first but with her great personality she makes you feel right at home. she’s the only person i will EVER trust with my hair.

It’s always a gamble trying a new stylist with a Groupon. Sadly I don’t recommend Brandi or Brandee. After getting home and washing my hair, I saw that my haircut was very uneven and looked worse than the previous cut. During the cut I don’t remember her taking the time to actually trim my hair layer by layer, either, and making sure everything looked even. Another hairstylist told me it needed to be fixed. It’s probably better to stick with the veteran stylists at this salon.

I was recommended by family, and had an appt with Veronica. She was very friendly and attentive. She listened to what i wanted, and it turned out great. Thank you again for the good service!

j michaels salon is great that atmosphere is amazing and i love how all the employees have their own rooms to do their work in. And Amanda Crank is amazing, i found her 4 years ago and luckily she is younger than me so she will be my forever hairdresser.

I have been going to Amanda Crank for years. I decided to try something new and different and had another do my hair. I was very disappointed and learned quickly that she is my hairdresser and I will never stray again. I ended up having to cut my hair from long to shoulder length and I was very displeased with the cut, color and length. So I called her and she put in extensions. She did an amazing job and I feel pretty again. My color looks amazing and the extensions made a huge difference. She also took time out of her day to meet me at Sallys to pick out the extensions. Very much appreciated, since I have never had them and not my expertise. She is amazing and I am grateful for her talent. I would recommend her 100%. Thank you Amanda for helping make me feel beautiful.

Love my hair dresser Amanda C. at J. Michaels Salon, I highly recommend her work, I love how she knows me and my needs. Amanda does a great job with extensions, and hair color. Her prices are awesome and I love that Amanda does her best to keep her customers happy. Salon J. Michaels is a very nice, comfortable and clean place. I highly recommend !

Look No more the BEST Salon in the High Desert J.MICHAELS. Amanda what an Amazing hair dresser she is with 8 years experience. With that said J. Michaels is a wonderful place to come. and relax facials by Sandra whom is the best Esthetician ever, Maria what a wonderful nail technician any style, any design… You will be please will whom ever you choose at this salon. I would recommend this place to everyone…

Maria does an amazing job doing my nails. She’s very creative and love doing different designs. I can’t wait to get the next set done. Would recommend her to anyone.

Brandee did my hair and she was sooo sweet! She made me feel very welcome and was just about excited as I was to do my hair! I came in with a groupon code and she gave me different options as to what I could do with my hair. She was honest and sincere with what would work best for me and I’m so glad I listened to her recommendation! My hair was dark at the roots before and blonde at the tips, and she made it a beautiful ombré. I LOVE Brandee, and I will be back soon!

Bridget has been doing my hair for quite some time now. I showed her a few pictures for a new style I was thinking of and she did an awesome job. I even got a compliment from my teen son! But the real compliment goes to Bridget! Love love love my hair!

Can’t speak for other hairstylist but I was given an appointment with Bridgette. The end result wasn’t the haircolor I wanted and I ended up with paint all over my ears for days. I won’t be going back anymore.

Bridgette did an amazing job on my hair. I came in dark brown and I wanted to go lighter all over and she went to work. It came out great. She was so gentle, and I really appreciate that. I have been to many hairstylist, and I am happy to say that I will not go to anyone other than Bridgette. She also did a spray tan on me and made me feel very comfortable, even after I questioned it. My tan and hair were both perfect. Thank you Bridgette!

I go there to see Bridgette every time I need my hair done. She always does a great job with my horse maine!

Horrible Experience! Will NEVER come here again. Spent 6 hours here and left very unsatisfied. I came in with ombré hair that blended into a platinum blonde. After having blonde hair for years I was getting used to the brown I had on top and decided I was ready to go all the way brown. Came out with a burgundy red color! And they wanted to charge me $ 150!!!
I had an appointment with a girl named Bridgette. I told her I liked the brown of my roots and the brown that was blended into the blonde, was ready to get rid of the blonde completely. I showed her about 10 – 20 different pictures of hair that I would be happy with. We picked a brown out of her hair sample book and she got started. Since I told her I liked the brown of my long natural roots I thought it was odd she put the color on the top, thinking she was just going to cover the blonde. I asked her about it and she said she will put a toner on the blonde ends to make it more of a «golden blonde». I never said I wanted a golden blonde but figured ok, she’s the hair «expert». After rinsing it out it was almost a copper on top and a grayish green blonde on the ends. I told her I hated it and she said to fix it we have to put red on the blonde because it’s too damaged and won’t hold any color. How do you know? You didn’t even put brown on it in the first place… So she out red on the ends to use as a «filler», washed it out and put brown on the whole hair after that. Ended up a burgundy reddish brown. Nothing close to any of the pictures I showed her.
Still unhappy I go to the front desk and the girl tries to charge me $ 150 for a ‘color correction’!!! I didn’t walk in there needing a color correction and I wasn’t paying for one. Then they said its $ 150 because the girl did 3 processes on my hair. Not my fault that she screwed it up and then had to fix it. If she couldn’t do what I showed her in the pictures she should have told me that from the beginning. Ended up paying $ 80. Just about cried myself to sleep that night.

Veronica Brown did such a great job with my hair cut and style! I would highly recommend her and I wished I lived closer to her but I will definitely go see her again when I go from the Bay to the High Dessert again.
The massage was great too! I can’t recall the girl’s name but she is having a baby — she is really good and great prices!

BEST SALON I HAVE EVER STEPPED FOOT IN.
Everything from the décor to the service is 5 star. The prices are REALLY LOW for such a high end salon… I’m never mad at my bill. lol.
They even have «Spa Water» with different fruit. MMMMM soooooooo refreshing!
Desiree is my go to lady because she is so knowledgeable, you can tell she has been in this industry forever. She does my hair and teeth whitening monthly and DANG is she one funny lady. I always look forward to my next appointment with her… She always has me rolling.
The owners Angela and Olivia are so nice they always stop in to say hello, they are totally the cutest things ever!
If you don’t go here, then you cray girl.

I have to say Shannon G is THE BEST hair dresser (she gets 5 stars)! She keeps my hair looking fabulous and her customer service is TOP NOTCH! She uses only the best products. I don’t know what I would do without her! Their Nail Tech, Katie is phenomenal (she also gets 5 stars)! Very talented, super sweet and does a fabulous job. Her nail art is incredible! Love my manicures & pedicures by Katie. I do have to agree with other reviewers regarding the noise level of the Salon. It is not a «Spa» like atmosphere unfortunately. Wish they could figure out a better set up for the pedicure and nail areas. It does not make for a relaxing environment. This is why I could only give my review 4 stars. :/
