After all we donate to this company… we go there today and this woman sitting at the drop off point looks at us with disgust after we unload our car and ask for a receipt and says you need to load it in the truck! Are you kidding… what is she being paid for?! Sure you lazy woman, let me put down my newborn and load the truck for you! Management needs to fire her and hire someone who would appreciate the job in this day and age.

we came here to donate some very nice items. the person that was behind us who was also donating items asked us if she could have a little end table that we were donating. so we gave it to her. one of the ladies that worked there told us to stop unloading the truck, and to leave their property! we had already unloaded over 100 $ worth of very nice furniture. in fact they already had a brand new coffee pot, that we just unloaded, marked for 20 $ inside the thrift store. so since they didn’t want the rest of our items we wanted everything back. they told us we were taking food out of people’s mouths and arguing with us… when we were just there to donate. these people are so greedy and ignorant that I will never donate here again. we took all our stuff to the homeless shelter off Palmdale.

As thrift stores go, I think I prefer I the Goodwill in the high desert. It’s a little cleaner to me. That being said, there were plenty of items to look at. They had racks and racks of clothing. On top of that, they had a decent selection of furniture. My buddy was looking for a couch and found a seven piece sectional for $ 250. It was actually in really good shape. I mean the couch was crushed green velvet, and looked like it belonged in a 70’s porn star’s pad, but it was solid and sturdy. Maybe not worth $ 250, but then on Fridays, and I think Saturdays, it might Thursdays and Friday’s, everything in the store is 50% off. My buddy bought it and is going to hire somebody to reupholster it. So he’s going to have the equivalent of a brand new seven piece sectional for less than 400. I’d go back, but I still prefer Goodwill for clothes. Seems better organized there.
