Winchell’s Doughnut House

I usually stop by whenever I get a craving for a cronut or one of their delicious raspberry jelly-​filled donuts, but I was on my way to a family gathering last night and thought I should bring some to my family, so I got a dozen. And it was a mistake going at night.
I have never noticed such a discrepancy in customer service between night and day shifts. I got there a little after 7pm, so the shop was closed and I had to order at the window. The young man who works there during the day is very nice and friendly, but the older lady who was there last night was rude and impatient. After struggling to select which donuts to buy (because I couldn’t see what was available), she takes my card and after a while says it doesn’t work. I found that weird because it worked at a grocery store and a Redbox machine earlier that day… Luckily, I had cash on hand, and after giving me my change, I asked her for my receipt. She scoffed, headed to the drawer, and picked up a random receipt for a $ 0.99 bottle of water and gave it to me. Not ok.
The donuts were delicious, but the night lady working there needs a serious attitude adjustment. I’ll stick to visiting during morning and afternoon hours from now on strictly to avoid her.
And the icing on the cake: when I was driving around the store to get onto 7^th St. I saw her captivated by whatever soap opera she was watching on the television. Explains her impatience…

Best service ever. I work at the pharmacy right across the street and we always call in our orders. Best food and such polite owners! Love it here! I would recommend coming to this business.

Tonight my cousins and I wanted some donuts… Winchells was literally two minutes away so we figured it was worth the try… I get it, it’s Victorville, it’s 9:30 pm, I wasn’t expecting the freshest donuts in the world, however 6.00 $ for half dozen? I was expecting at least edible
Before I began to get irritated, the lady at the window said we couldn’t go in and had to order at the window where it was freezing and where we can’t see the donuts at all… fine, whatever. Still not irritated…
Then we realized she didn’t know English… okay, fine… still not irritated.
Then EVERY donut we wanted they didn’t have anymore/“ran out”…still not irritated…
we get home and they’re hard as hell. Now I’m irritated!!!
In a nutshell, don’t waste your time or your money from this shit. The rude managers/​owner daughter Was there and just went to the back and didn’t greet us or see if her worker was having trouble, which she sure as hell was.
People who own a business should really realize customer service goes a long way.

A little scary at night when you have to wait outside at the little window. The cronuts are good and only a couple miles from home so this is my donut shop of choice. I wish the ham & cheese croissants were better. We ordered 3 and the lady cut them open and added the ham and cheese like a sandwich. They were pretty small too, but cheaper than most other places.

Delicious. Soft, moist doughnuts and tasty coffee. Also serve breakfast sandwiches for those who aren’t into sweets. Got two doughnuts and a medium coffee for under $ 3! Open 24 hours. Try this place!

Seriously, this place should have a line. Open 24 hours, friendly service, credit cards accepted, and CRONUTS.

Perfect pit stop before a roadtrip this weekend, 5am all shelves full of fresh, fluffy, still warm donuts.
We kept it simple with custard filled and coconut, both amazing, good service and so cheap, paid just over $ 1 for both.
Not gourmet, but cheap, tasty and holds you through till your next stop.

We went after 9pm and so the donuts were hard and cold. I asked if he had anything fresher, but he said no. The hot chocolates were from one of those quick machines, probably water based, but the kids drank like they were the best ever. Customer service was great so I have to give 3 stars.

This place is great! The donuts are always fresh and the prices are good. If you’re in the mood for donuts at any time of the day, this is the place to go.

Best 24 hr donut place, i drive right past yum yums for it.
