After eating at this location I will be filing a disability claim for hearing loss. This restaurant is louder than working at the airport. The restaurant was tremendously loud even though it was only half full. My burrito mojado was fantastic! I loved the taste, although it was not spicy like they claimed. They left the cheese off of my daughter’s taco, and they don’t know the difference between a hard shell and soft shell taco. Oh, and the bathroom was out of soap and the tables were sticky. Definitely a management problem here.

Absolutely love this place!!! I have gotten their bowls and breakfast burrito and both are always on point with taste and texture. Customer service is fast, friendly and can accommodate any requests. Keep doing what you’re doing guys!

I don’t understand the appeal with DT or why there are so many in the area — it is a not-so-cheap knock-off of authentic mexican tacos. My friend had not been and we were a little hungry so we stopped in for a couple tacos each. I hadn’t been in a few years and thought maybe the quality improved. I made a huge mistake. The tacos are $ 3 each(why?) for a mexican style(2 corn tortilla) taco. Not sure how big the flour ones are but these are normal small taco size. We tried four different meats, none of which were good — chicken, steak, pastor, and barbacoa. All dry. Which is why they have a huge self-serve salsa bar, I assume. Anyway, the only redeeming quality that DT has is the unlimited pico and other salsas. But I’m not wasting my time eating tacos here, you can find me at the trucks in Arlington.

Two words. GO. NOW! I observed District Taco and the entire area being built and heard they were coming to Dunn Loring area. A co-worker told me about it, I checked Unilocal and saw quite the buzz so I bookmarked it! This place is awesome. I think Chipotle has major competition on their hands. I ordered three soft, tortilla tacos, 3 for $ 8. I had one grilled chicken, grilled steak, and pulled beef. Each one had unique flavor, bursting with freshness. One word: DELISH! Each one with lime, garlic rice, cheese, cilantro and sour cream on the side. They have a salsa bar so I loaded my mini-containers of this and that, sauces from mild to extra spicy, sliced lime, cilantro, pico de gallo, and took it all home. The chips are served warm. A bit on the pricey side. A small bag is $ 3, and twice as much(a large, which is not all that large) costs $ 6. Just for fried tortillas!!? Again, too pricey for corn chips. But they were really good! I ordered the small and wish I had ordered the large. What I really liked, they tightly wrap each taco in foil, so remained warm by the time I made it home about 15 minutes later. I asked for the cream cheese on the side because I did not want them to become soggy. Next time, I will ask for little lettuce on the side as well. The service was efficient. I went sort of late, like 9:30 pm so there weren’t any crazy lines and I did not have to wait. I think I will go a second time this week. Really blew me away.

I like this location better than the one in Arlington. Nice staff, great food, quick service. My favorite is the tacos and I’ve tried just about every protein and topping combination and its all great(and I’m a picky eater). The location is a little odd — it’s a good 1.5 blocks or so from the parking garage and all the way at the very end of the shopping center almost to the back side — but it’s still great.

Came here at 9:45pm waited in line next to order for ten minutes. Ordered my food and was told I can’t dine in here while the restaurant was already full of people dined in. While I’m ordering my food, employees are eating food in the kitchen station while putting food away for the night. After I ordered my food they took away all the salsa from the salsa station. Rude! The night staff is definitely unprofessional including the night manager! I don’t see them kicking the cop out that is eating with his family. Now I’m in my car with my family eating uncomfortable! Fuck this place!

Service: 2.5 out of 5 I’ve been to various district tacos and love the food. However, this location is a let down. It’s the closest to my house so I was very excited when it opened. I’ve experienced inconstancies with the tacos — some days they’re so wimpy/small and other days they’re perfect. I also find it difficult to communicate my order to the staff and receive the order exactly how I placed it. Often they forget certain requests and order details.

This is a nice taco place. As a Southern Californian, I would come back here. But this is more like spruced up tacos to make gringos happy. The ambience is nice. Large tables. Bar seating along the window. Well-lit. A bit noisy. Pretty clean. The salsa bar is great! Limes, cilantro, several salsas, etc. My tacos tasted fine. Good, although lacking a true Mexican flavor. The tortillas are okay. I had to request corn tortillas(flour is the default). You order first, receive a number, go sit down, and they bring your food to you. What was odd to me is that my tacos came all rolled-up and wrapped individually in aluminum foil. Kind of a weird presentation. The parking was a bit of a pain. I found a parking garage(with meters, but they’re no-cost — you just have to push the button for a free 2 hours), and walked 5 minutes. Taco Bamba is my go-to taco place. I could see District Taco being my fall-back. I would love to take Taco Bamba’s tacos, and plunk them into District Taco’s facility(with seating, ambience, and a nice salsa bar). I paid $ 10(including tax) for 3 tacos. Seems pricey to this SoCal gal, but to-be-expected for NOVA.

Definitely one of the better taco joints around my house. I usually go to Taco Bamba if I want some more authentic Mexican food, but District Taco is actually really delicious as well. They have a variety of sauces, toppings, etc. and I like how they allow you to mix the types of tortillas and meats with the 3 tacos. The pico de gallo and guac was really good and the service was superb. I’ll definitely be going back.

I’ve had District Taco a handful of times and there wasn’t anything too memorable about it, but I decided to give it another shot since we live close by. The location is in the new shopping area next to the Dunn Loring metro, and there’s free parking in the lot for up to 2 hours. My fiancé loved how there’s all day breakfast so he ordered the breakfast burrito, while I ordered the burrito desnudo(burrito bowl) with chicken and a few other toppings. We also had the guac and chips to share. Everything was fresh, our food tasted good and the portions are generous, but it didn’t blow our minds. Also, Chipotle guac is WAY better than District Taco guac. We’ll be back to try their tacos, since that’s what everybody seems to raving about.

I tried District Taco in DC before and thought it was alright, I must’ve not been the right mood or I was comparing their burritos to Chipotle. Their tacos are amazing, especially their fish tacos. Awesomely seasoned fish, love the combo with the chipotle mayo and cabbage slaw. And I love that they have a salsa bar. I want to try their bowls but I can’t help but get the tacos every time. 3 tacos doesn’t seem like much but is a filling lunch. Also the Fairfax location has outlets everywhere, a great place to hang, eat good food, and charge your phone :)

This is our third time here, but I have to say I was unpleasantly surprised. My wife and I had the breakfast burrito which was ok, but we got the cilantro from the salsa bar and put it on our burritos only to taste dirt. The staff failed to clean it, It was horrible. It was like eating a dirt burrito. After we reported it they brought cilantro from the kitchen and did not replace our food or remove the cilantro from the salsa bar«that how we get it from corporate». I told them you still have to clean produce, so it’s safe to say that they don’t wash any of there produce when it’s served. WEWILLNEVERRETURNTOTHISRESTAURANTCHAIN, wish we could give it — stars Just as I started to post this they got more Cilantro and still did not clean it. Wow

I stopped in for a quick snack after work. There wasn’t a long line so the whole ordering process went smoothly and I sat down to wait for my order. Looking around, everything was clean and the whole restaurant was brightly lit. The salsa bar looked fresh and probably the nicest feature were the outlets with USB that were readily accessible at many of the tables and counters. All of this was nice but I found the food to just be average. Not bad but nothing great either. I had 3 tacos; barbacoa, carne asada and chicken… just the basics. They were decent but the barbacoa was saturated in liquid/water. Don’t get me wrong, I still scarfed it down. I just needed about 17 napkins and a trip to the restroom to wash my hands. I’ll probably stop back once in a while since it’s in a convenient location right outside the Dunn Loring metro. If some of the other items wow me, I’ll make sure to come back and update my review.

Some of the best tacos around. District Taco is food truck turned store front. Service at this location is a little slow even with very few customers. The facility was clean Metered parking lot but its free if you stay less than 2 hours.

Been recommended to check out this place but have never manage to make it into DC. I hate navigating DC and dealing with parking so it’s a huge plus that this one is a bit closer to home with better parking. While the lot next to it is gated off you can park there for free, which is what we did on a Friday at about 5:30. Place wasn’t too busy. Cashier was very friendly and helpful in answer questions. She wasn’t sure on a few of my questions(what kind of dressing is their house dressing) but being how new the place is I wasn’t entirely surprised. Got the burrito bowl with steak, rice, beans, pico, lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole. As well as a side of chips and large queso. I would have liked to try their shrimp tacos but they only have those Monday and Thursday(I think). They have a salsa bar with lots of options. I pretty much tried everything. The bright green one(sorry don’t remember what it was called) was pretty flavorless but the others were good. We dumped some of the hot ones into the queso. The queso was good but we wanted more of a kick to it. Adding the salsa made it perfect. The food was out pretty quickly, they brought it to our table. Seemed to be pretty fresh food. And overall really enjoyed it all. The steak was of really good quality and flavor. I would certainly get it again. The rice was quite over cooked. Hopefully that won’t be the case next time. I really like the flavor of their pico. But the guacamole was rather bland, I wouldn’t pay to add that on again. My mom had their nachos with carnitas, which I tried some of. I don’t think I would order the carnitas again as it wasn’t super flavorful and was rather fatty — more fatty then I think it should be. Rather lacking in flavor across the board, but the salsa bar helps make up for that. Seems to be really fresh, quality food at a decent price. While they aren’t the best Tex-Mex I have ever had, I would say they are the best I have had in the DC area and will soon make the trip back.

I came here at 1 pm on a weekday and was in and out quickly. The parking situation is much easier here than it is at the Lee Highway location, thank goodness! I ordered two tacos on corn tortillas: shrimp(the Thursday special) and carne asada. Once I bit into the shrimp taco, I regretted not having ordered a second. The shrimp is marinated well and comes with cabbage and a zesty sauce — I didn’t add any extra toppings nor did I need to! It was tasty yet nice and light compared to my carne asade taco, which I had overstuffed, inadvertently, with rice, guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo… oops…reminder to self: a taco is not a burrito! I wish the shrimp tacos were available every day!

Started dining here a few weeks ago. Now it’s a once a week dinner. The food is amazing. Plus they usb+electric ports here. I’m over the moon when it comes to their guacamole. Their queso is pretty darn good. I always order the burrito bowl with chicken. What I really love about this place beside the food. The have their very own Art-o-mat machine!!! Go check it out.

The décor inside is really cool and they have USB/power outlets right next to the table so that’s pretty cool. The set up is similar to Cava and Chipotle. You get to pick what you want to get inside your foods and they have a lot of options for toppings. They also have a cool salsa bar next to the drinks station. We started with the queso and it was really good and comes with a huge bag of chips. *PSA: You can pick different meats for each of the different tacos you get.* I got the barbacoa, carne asada and pollo asado. I really liked the barbacoa, it had the most flavor. The carne asada wasn’t as good as I thought it would be though but the pollo asado was really good. Overall, I think there are improvements to the food that can be made but it is still really good and the staff is really nice.

I have been eagerly been awaiting the opening of District Taco right outside of the Dunn Loring Metro(on Prosperity). Looks like they are open or having a soft opening this week. Clean and new inside. There’s a few counter seats across the windows and then about 4 long tables. You come in an order and they bring out the order with a number. I’ve never been to a District taco and I doubt they’d change their brand from my review but I think having a lot of topping choices makes for something bad decisions on the customers part. I added fresh jalepenos onto the«Mexican» style which had a few seeds left and it was too spicy and made my experience less pleasing. The carnitas were my favorite taco with really tender juicy meat. I usually really like Al Pastor(the pork with pineapples) and it was a bit dry and I’ve had better. The carne asada was a bit dry and not super flavorful. I would give it another shot though because there could be some quality control. We also had chips and salsa. The chips were really good. There’s also a salsa bar, but if you order the chips and salsa they will bring a big cup size salsa. I wish they brought it out earlier or given it when we paid so we could munch while waiting. Looks like it will be a popular and convenient place for people to drop in on after work. Hope the food improves some more and I’ll definitely give them more chances, if only for convenience.
