Lemon meringue pie is outstanding. Homemade corned beef hash is very good. Asked for eggs over and whites cooked. They were perfect. Hubby said burger is good for a diner burger. Asked for butter and got margarine. Asked for cream for coffee and got non dairy creamer. Would have given 5 stars but fake dairy in farm country? Service was perfect.

Pretty good service, but some of the food is too greasy. I ordered the Country Fried Steak but I do believe they cooked it in a fish frying area because the whole steak tasted like a fish.

Now named Vienna Diner. Fantastic breakfast food. Family diner that is kid friendly. Great place for good ol Southern Illinois cuisine. We love to stop in as we travel through and enjoy the food. Super place to experience local flavor. Coffee is excellent and service is always friendly and food is served promptly. Do not hesitate to take a break if you’re traveling through on I-24. Pass by all those franchise places close to the interchange. Look for the Vienna Diner on the left as you go into town.(From I-24) You will be delighted for taking the two minutes past the drive through«hamburger» joints.

Friendly staff, large portions, FASTSERVICE, good food in a nice family atmosphere. Lots of variety on the menu with breakfast all day long! Good find, right off interstate.

Also known as Vienna Diner. Food was great, portions are larger than you would expect, and prices are decent. The waitress was a bit rude but we did show up near closing time. If you are driving through this is worth the stop.

Lots to choose from for food choices. Tried the Chicken Parmesan and Lasagna and both were very good. Will definitely come back again. I really want to try their breakfast.

Just found out today…1−15−2013… Dolly’s is no longer in business. It changed hands, so a different kind of restaurant.

Had a nice lunch here. Large servings. Friendly staff. I had the Rueben sandwich and it had real corned beef not deli meat. Yum. My husband had the country breakfast and ended up taking half home. Very good. Will definitely return.

This is a simple country restaurant — nothing fancy but a pretty extensive menu and good quality ingredients. Staff was friendly. I ordered a breakfast sandwich to go — over medium egg and bacon and cheese on toast — just like my friend Tina makes and almost as good! It was very good.

This is a great family restaurant. The hubby has been coming here since he was a kid and camped in Shawnee National Forest and started taking me when we started camping together. They serve breakfast all day long so I have only ever had breakfast here. I especially like the omelet and they have great bacon and hashbrowns also. This is the perfect place to stop if you are in the area or if you are just driving on I-24 through that area. We drove on our honeymoon and made a point to stop here on our way home for a late breakfast.
