Quick service and very tasty sandwich. I tried the Sultry Poultry and was pleased with the spicy sauce and the sweet pulled chicken and the softness of the bread. I guess $ 12 is probably the norm now for a food truck sandwich and chips but damn, I wish it were a bit cheaper. Anyway, would still probably come back to try the other sandwiches if they come around Rosslyn again.

I happened to get a company email informing us of a food truck coming within close proximity to the office. It’s been quite some time since my last food truck adventure and it’s such a beautiful day that I thought, why not? So for those who know me know that I love sandwiches. The variations are literally limitless. Some don’t realize the artistry involved in creating a great sandwich. Well, I can confidently say that the folks at The Farm Effect food truck are true artists. They pride themselves on using locally and organically sourced ingredients… and let me tell you, those ingredients shine like the sun on a clear day. So I got the«Sultry Poultry» which is a spicy pulled chicken sandwich with pepperjack, lettuce, tomato and«Rooster» sauce on Amish Baker’s bread. Having spent many years in the south, I know what pulled chicken is supposed to be like, but hot damn this is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. The balance balance of sweet, savory and spicy like a perfectly tuned orchestra accompanied by mesmerizing muses. What really sent me into food heaven was the Rooster sauce and the bread. I don’t know how they make that sauce, but I want to buy a bottle of it to take home with me… to use on EVERYTHING. The bread was perfectly toasted and proportionate(which is important) to the rest of this stellar sammie. Overall, it took one visit to know that I want to try the rest of their appetizing offerings. While this truck is pretty new to VA’s food truck scene, I’m sure they’ll be around for a long while if they keep putting out food like this.
