Greets Eats is a food truck on Carvers Harbor parked by the Fishermans Coop. There is no where in the world that you can get a better lobster roll than here. No where! The lobsters are actually plucked out of the Coop’s holdings, boiled and picked right there. I recommend ordering Greets’ Fancy Fries, a crab roll and a lobster roll because if you are on Vinalhaven and looking at Unilocal you are obviously«from away» and probably on vacation. On a sunny day there are two picnic tables you can sit at to enjoy the bustling harbor view. I suppose the tables are still there on foggy days. From the tables you can see real live lobstermen(!) unloading their catch and cleaning their boats. There are cute harbor seals bobbing their heads hoping for bait scraps from any generous fishermen. If you’re lucky a sneaky seagull might try to steal your sandwich, so keep an eye out or use the buddy system. One landed on my shoulder and attempted to bite my crab roll at the same time as I did, but I was not in a sharing mood. Five stars for the girls of Greets Eats! Zero stars for the gulls of Vinalhaven!

We were told this was the place to get a really GREAT lobster roll, it was good, a little on the small side. We waited 35 minutes for a small lobster roll in a hot dog bun, we didn’t think it was great…
