Great atmosphere. Hamburgers are frozen patties. They actually ask how you want your hamburger cooked, I said rare, they brought me a stamped frozen patty that was gray all the way through.

My Second time here. Classic Margarita made very well, seared tuna appetizer was outstanding and grilled salmon salad was perfect without any dressing just salsa.

Moved to this area 2 months ago, and have been desperately looking for a great place to eat. I can most definitely say I found it with gilberts in Vincennes, in. I have been there 3 times and tried something different each time. The haystacks and chicken quessadila appetizer were both great. Have had the prime rib, pork chop and Kentucky hot brown. It was all very good and the best I have had in a while. I highly recommend Gilbert’s if you are in the area or live here. The prices are reasonable, the restaurant is beautiful and the wait staff is always kind and helpful. Also do yourselves a favor, if you end up there soon try the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake, it was delicious.

I ordered the Mustard Salmon with rice. Could not taste the Salmon for the Mustard Sauce and the rice seemed like it had been cooked earlier in the day and then left under a warmer all day. Dry and hard.

After a day at VU, our family had dinner here and was extremely pleased! The service was excellent and food was delicious! Very clean! Highly recommended and glad to see a family owned business as nice as this one! Much needed in that area. Wish them all the luck on their success!

Sigh. DON’T GETTHERIBEYE! OVERHALFOFITWASFAT&GRIZZLE. And, the side of mushrooms and onions was not $ 3.00 worth. . my husband had an awesome filet mignon. Side of broccoli was seasoned with a touch of garlic .very nice . If we ever make it back here, I’d get the filet, or try the fish.

We had been here before when it was new… We don’t live here and don’t often come to Vincennes for dinner, but because we had a good experience the first time, decided to come here again. While our food was fine, the hour and a half wait for burgers was not. They weren’t very busy and a few tables even came in, ate and left before we ever got our food. Our waiter was a nice enough guy but never even mentioned how long the wait was. We were just getting up to leave when our food arrived. Sweet potato fries were good and the rest was ok. Probably won’t spend another evening there though for a while unfortunately… It does have a lot of potential!

The grilled salmon salad with salsa is a fine dish. No need to order any dressing. Beautiful restaurant.

Looks good. Looks inviting. The menu lacked punch. Cod and more cod. Plain sandwiches. Same old pastas. I went with the open face turkey and Swiss. So much cheesy sauce I ate about 1⁄3 of it. Rubbery cold fries, my buddies were too. His chicken sandwich was good but plain. 2 brands of wine, bad and worse. I will not come back, for the price I’d rather hit BW’s or something casual. Not a «dining experience»! Like a fancy Applebee’s.

Ok we have them another chance and had a great experience! What a difference a night makes! I had chicken livers, loved them! Bartender was super friendly! Love this place — lesson is give people a second chance!
