The meal was good.(I had eggs) but the bacon was horrible. And the toast wasn’t really toasted. My father had a good meal. But he got sausage. There bacon is absolutely terrible.

This place is great! They make hands down THEBEST calamari in the world! Their other dishes are all delicious, plentiful and a good value. There is often a wait; but the food is well worth it. Really nice receptive staff! There really is no wait for your food, and the deserts are worth filling up on! Wow. Local vegies and organic eggs just taste better. Highly recommend!

I recently came here for at 7AM for breakfast, which is what time this diner opens. The inside of the diner was nicer than your typical diner. It was clean, well laid out and nicely decorated. As for the food selection, the menu was surprising small and missing breakfast sandwiches and grits. The pancake menu looked awesome, with different flavors such as sweet potato and oatmeal raisin. Another unique feature on the menu is the beer and wine. Being in New Jersey, I expected a killer breakfast. It was anything but. The toast was slightly burnt, the eggs were cooked funny and the potatoes tasted like straight grease. The food really lacked desire here, and the service matched it. Service was slow and unfriendly. I don’t think I will be back anytime soon, but if I am– I’m going for the pancakes.

Was very delighted to dine here until tonight. Instead of seating us in the dining room we were seated near the front. I didn’t mind so much but our waitress was not as attentive as the dining room servers, she reached across our food while we were eating to refill the sugar packets which we thought was rude and we waited longer for our food then we had usually in the dining room. Food was okay but nothing could beat our first meal there. I guess if you want great service sit in the dining room.

I haven’t visited this place in years and I was pleasantly surprised when I walked through the door. A friend suggested we go here for breakfast and it was a great choice. They encourage local; local beer, local fruits, local people. It’s right off the highway so it’s pretty easy to get to and a variety of things to eat– we Jersey people love our diners. For a Sunday morning, I was surprised there wasn’t a super long wait, I’m assuming people were at church. Faster service for me! I ordered a coffee and yum — it was good, didn’t taste stale or cheap. Love me some good black coffee. Ordered from the special Pancake Factory menu. «Piney» pancakes turned into a waffle. Full of apples and antioxidant local cranberries. It was pretty good, very tart with the cranberries but I couldn’t find much of the apple. I suggest trying something different unless you like tart then this is your go-to. I liked the options, there was so much to eat. A friend of mine got a bagel sandwich(can’t remember which) but the bagel was super soft, none of that hard-day-old bagels here! We got some ice cream… look it was noon by then. Local, from scratch ice cream. WOW. The vanilla, chocolate, strawberry was amazing! I was so happy we ordered it. I would definitely say hit this place up, especially if you love diners.

Cold potatoes, terrible service. No offer of bill reduction for cold potatoes. Too bad, this is usually a good diner. Seems like the standards have gone down.

Don’t make the mistake of coming here after stopping at Starbucks to grab a real cup of coffee. They won’t let you in with it. First diner that has ever happened at. They’d rather lose your business that let you finish your coffee. Wholly unpleasant experience.

This is the first place I went to eat, after spending the entire day travelling to the east coast. The airport food wasn’t cutting it, and by the time I arrived I was starving. When I pulled into this place, I was expecting a 5 star restaurant and not a ‘diner’ as the name implies. This place is huge and it looks super fancy… usually when you think diner, you picture something generic like Denny’s and the like. One thing you will not find here is Denny’s prices… this place is not cheap, but you will also not find Denny’s quality when it comes to the food either. The food here was much more upscale and had heartier portions. We were greeted right away, and seated fairly quickly despite the place being full and other diners had arrived at the same time. The hostess told us about their specials, and then our waitress came over and did the same. I settled on the Patty Melt, others at my table ordered a Ranch Wrap and soup. This place has everything from bacon and eggs, and pancakes to boneless ribeye and crab cakes. As I said before, prices are not cheap. My patty melt was $ 11.99, but you will pay $ 17.99 if you want jumbo fried shrimp and $ 15.99 for a chicken tender platter. My patty melt was reallllly good, and large. Despite my best effort, and being starved I was only able to finish ½ of my ½ lol. I especially loved that they used REAL swiss cheese and not some imitation kraft slices like some other places I have been to. And the marble-rye was a nice touch. I didn’t care too much for the fries, as they tasted too oily. The ranch wrap was tasty too, as I snuck a bite of that as well. Maybe that is why I was unable to finish my meal. The tortilla was filled with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon and ranch sauce. It was so good that we ordered another one to-go for a friend. Somehow during this ‘buffet’ I managed to save room for dessert… you HAVE to eat dessert. When you walk in, they have this delicious dessert tray cleverly placed so that you have to walk by it. I was a sucker and feel for it, even before they finished seating us I had wandered over to their dessert case… well played Vincetown Diner. I fell in love with their Apple Blossom dessert, just based on looks alone… I’m shallow, I know ;) The Apple Blossom is a delicious whipped apple custard something, poured into a phyllo bowl and topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with cinnamon and almond slices. Dayyyyyuuuummm this was a delicious dessert. I was so stuffed, but I didn’t want this deliciousness to go to waste. It was a steal, compared to their other menu prices, at $ 4.99. I am not usually a fan of custard, but this was just heavenly. It was good to break some of the phyllo and use it as a scoop for the inside yumminess. The service, besides the food, was good and the place was clean in all aspects. I would go back based on food alone, but this is not some place you(I) could eat on a regular basis due to high prices, so that’s why I give 4 stars.

This place is a sight for sore eyes in an ocean of subpar food places and rowdy barfood options. This place’s ingredients seemed super fresh and locally harvested which explains the 10−15% higher prices; all very much worth it. Service could not have been better with a sense of genuine care for how me and my girlfriend were doing with our meal. 5 stars with out question. Bravo.

Are we sure this place isn’t a Greek restaurant? Pretty much the entire menu is available all the time. We came here for breakfast and the food was simply fine. Nothing spectacular and nothing bad, just ok. This is my opinion. Some may find it more interesting, but it is breakfast. The place is BIG. And had a friendly staff who really did care about how your meal was and that I really appreciate, so I give them the 4th star due to the service. Once again a dependable place.

Decent food and the local/organic is pretty cool, but it’s a bit pricey for a diner. I would put it at about 20−30% more expensive for your standard pancakes or eggs than other diners in the area. I got the pancake sampler: one blueberry, one oatmeal raisin, and one sweet potato. Blueberry was standard. The oatmeal pancake was very dry and flakey. The sweet potato was fantastic, but no more special than a sweet potato pancake elsewhere f you happen upon it. Otherwise great service and cleanliness. It’s just a bit too pricey to be part of a weekly routine for me.

Sweet potato pancakes are where it’s at. This is one of my favorite diners. Service is good. The food is solid. They do a lot of local foods, beers, veggies, in season stuff. Breakfast is a excellent choice. You won’t be disappointed.

I love diners and this one did not disappoint! I had a rare cheeseburger, which was exactly how I like it prepared and the local bread — a white roll was quite tasty as well! The décor is older but nice and clean — the staff — so-so and very nice presentation of food — square plates and our ice-cream — came served on a chocolate drizzled one. Most diners don’t give these little extras.

I may be a bit of a snob when it comes to food. Time was when you would never find me in a diner unless late at night and intoxicated, and with no other food options available. I have become more proletariat, and luckily some«diners’ have become much more than grease pits. Case in point is the Vincentown diner. A spot I have driven by for decades and never visited. But I kept hearing really good things, and though I was not intoxicated, I gave it shot last last night(Freya’s review among others sealed my choice) I’m not even sure diner is the appropriate word for this joint, although based on the exterior(!and interior) you would assume it to be. Do diners promote local food? Do diners promote local beers and wines? Do diners serve 3 flavors of homemade butter? Do diners boast the use of organic eggs and milk? I think not. Let’s coin a new term for this hybrid, I was thinking gastronette? Whatever you may call it, do give it a try if in the area or passing through. My partner selected a burger, and she loved it, huge, tasty and cooked exactly as ordered on a whole wheat bun that was also good. For a slight up charge you can turn the regular fries into sweet or onion rings. My choice of NJ scallops was a bit of a stretch. I feared as much upon ordering them. But as a scallop a holic I was powerless when I glanced at the menu option. For $ 20(yes $ 20) I received 5 perfectly seared mollusks that were not as good as my taste buds were hoping(in fairness I normally only order them in select restaurants, paying 50% more most times, and 50% of the time not thrilled by the quality. But I was impressed by what they were served with, a tasty rice and an inspired and meticulously diced fruit salsa(cucumbers, apples, nectarines and peaches. Desserts looked really good but we opted to share a dish of Trickling Springs ice cream. This is way better than most restaurants serve. Our service was attentive and efficient, but not really friendly. We noticed locals getting the full treatment. But as we left we had a short conversation with the manager that left us feeling appreciated. I plan on returning again try sample other menu items. I would say this could be the best diner in a 30 or more mile radius. 4 Unilocal till further research.

The best damned diner in NJ and if someone tells you otherwise, they’re lying. Local produce, grass fed meats, local beers, clean, large space. The burgers(and I mean both beef AND veggie!) are all so good they should be illegal. Check out the seasonal specials, and if you ever see corn soup on that list, by God, man, order it. Like heaven on a spoon. Actually, all of you forget I said anything. I don’t want ya crowding up my favorite joint. :)

My favorite diner. Impressive menu and wide variety of local beers! Every thing I have tried so far has been great. It makes me always try something new every visit. Favorite lunch/dinner entrees so far are the Mile High Meatloaf, El Greco Burger, Chicken & Waffles, and Apple Pork Chops. They’re the perfect comfort food. But my all time favorite which I especially love is their sweet potato pancakes with cinnamon butter. That’s the go-to item if you’ve never been to this diner. It doesn’t matter what time of day you get them, they’re always worth it. The rest of their breakfast is excellent too. The bacon is always crisp and the eggs are cooked just right. For dessert, I usually get their crème brûlée but I’m sure the rest of their desserts are good too. Highly recommend!

Took my grandson to the diner a couple of nights ago. Food was good. Why the 2 stars? 2 cups of soup, 2 sodas, Chicken parm, and a hamburger. FORTYTWODOLLARS!!! For this I had to sit in their waiting area, with a cold rainy breeze blowing through the open door, for 15 min. while they kept their back dining area closed and the owner walking around playing on his phone. I stopped going to this place years ago after getting food poisoning from cold cream of turkey soup and was sick as a dog for a week. Swore I wouldn’t go back but decided to give them another shot a while back. Didn’t get sick but sure paid this trip.

Vincenttown diner is what hospitality is all about. Everything is organic and local. Even the ketchup is organic! The food is amazing. The staff has always treated me well. Their turnover rate is pretty low I always recognize their staff. I would recommend eating here in the evening though. The staff and chef is much better at night. Once again the food is from local farmers and everything is organic. I have had many things off the menu it was all delicious. You can taste the quality in the food and you get large portions. Absolutely love this diner!

I dont like this diner for a few reasons, firstly the food is mostly bland, which for me is a deal breaker but if you like that kinda thing. head on over, I used to go twice a week for breakfast just because it is close by but always I am leaving disappointed, the home fries are bland and greasy, my eggs I order over easy are either raw or over done, and when I ask for spices like rosemary or even something simple like old bay they act like they never heard of those things. I also want to comment on the wait staff, have they ever heard of employing males? how about racial diversity? it may be a small problem to some but for my fiancé it made him uncomfortable that every time we go there is only white, blonde, and females working, now let me comment on service, Often we dont get things we order(coffee!) and if you order a chai latte please expect it to be slopped all down the side of the mug and over flowing with whipped cream,(unless your lucky enough to have a skilled server) once the order is delivered dont expect to see your server again till your almost done your meal of course. it would be different if I was there during peak hours and it was busy but I always go when its not busy so where the bloody heck is my server?! now the price, ok for bland food that is greasy and or over and under cooked you are expected to pay quite a bit, two people for breakfast costs 30 $ on average I really wanted to love vincentown :( EDIT: I went with family on May 272015 and now they have a couple of black male servers. Bravo… Food was bad and they forgot my pickle and fries and still no one really remembered to check on us. Still bad service and bad food but hey not as racist.

This is our go-to place when my daughter ‘s soccer team is playing one of the numerous tournaments in the area. Best diner I’ve been to. Everything is just top quality from the appetizers(try the sampler) to burgers(locally sourced, organic beef beef). For dinner, try the boneless Rib-Eye and the Southern Comfort Fried chicken. They also serve some interesting craft brew and a bunch of weird, local wines(Jersey Devil Forte). I’m not into sweets, but my wife and kid thinks the homemade desserts are awesome, so good they always bring some home. If you are around the area — this place is a sure bet!
