My hubby & I stopped in here to eat dinner tonight. It was the first time I’ve been here in a year. The last time we stopped in the Bartender wasn’t very attentive nor friendly. He actually made us feel unwelcome. But we’ve been hearing that the food was pretty good so we decided to give it another shot. My husband ordered rigatoni & I ordered shrimp scampi. I honestly wasn’t sure how good the food was going to be because the bar is pretty outdated but I was happy we gave it a shot. Our waitress was friendly, our food came out quickly & the food was very good. The portions were good & we had enough to bring home. The prices were high considering how outdated the restaurant’s appearance looks. Also the same miserable bartender was behind the bar. How he still works there is beyond me. He must be part owner or family. We will go back to eat just going to steer clear of the bar.

We stumbled in on a random Tuesday and saw they have Italian Night Buffet. I was going to get their awesome ravioli for dinner anyhow so it made sense to get the buffet for $ 14.99. Awesome food and great service. Ravioli, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Francaise, Clams and spaghetti, a gnocchi in cream sauce with meat dish, eggplant, parm, lasagna, sautéed zucchini, mussels, two kinds of soup, salad bar, and awesome bread. The buffet was very ample and I am sure I left at least a few things off. Oh yea, mozzarella sticks, pepperoni bread… and I know I am missing an entrée or two. Fantastic deal and food is quality. Oh, stuffed shells! I am not a buffet person at all but I was so pleased with the selection and quality. Service is always great here they really make you feel like they care about their customers. I know they have many buffet options throughout the week. The restaurant/bar is trapped in another time zone it ISNOT dirty or dingy. You can tell it is clean and they are running a good operation. I actually like the zany, outdated décor. I have high standards for cleanliness and I am never bothered by this place. I feel they get a bad rap for that. I find this place very comforting.

Their Sunday brunch is great and the price is just right at just $ 10 a person! I am a regular here with friends who love the brunch. OUr servers are always attentive and definitely earn their tips! The omelettes are made to order and the portions are hearty. Crepes are really good; actually, I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. I’ve been here for dinner, and they do not disappoint. I like that they have outdoor seating, too. Whether you’re at the bar enjoying a cocktail or sitting in the restaurant — I am sure you will find something on the menu that will have you wanting more!

SUNDAYBRUNCH. They offer an all you can eat Sunday breakfast buffet for $ 12. There are plenty of delicious choices from the standard scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc. They offered a an omelet and waffle station to compliment the goodness. As I looked through the offerings, I found one of my all time breakfast favorites… Gravy or as they call it in this part of the world, «Chipped Beef». It satisfied all my taste buds. The hostess was extremely friendly. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive. All the workers we encountered were very friendly. Overall a great experience.

This place is good for the local drinkers… but the food, well, you should be drunk to enjoy it. Their sunday breakfast buffet is good, so clearly they either have different cooks during the rest of the week, or more likely, most of their food is frozen. The prices for their pizza are outrageous. And, they taste like slop. With so many great pizza places in south jersey, why anyone would eat here is beyond me.

This Place Looks Like the Land Time Forgot… Nastiest food I’ve ever had. Was passing by for a very late lunch. We get menus and are reviewing the fare. We notice the prices are pretty high for such a dump. The booths are ancient looking, the walls look filthy and the chandeliers look like they came out of a horror show. We ordered two root beers and received birch beer. I know. What’s the big deal? Well, root beer is root beer. Birch beer is NOT root beer. Its more like a combination of pepto bismal and root beer. At least that’s what their birch beer tasted like. Ok… do you have mozzerella sticks? Yes. Okay I’ll have an order of that a bacon cheddar burger $ 9.99 special. My husband ordered a cheesteak with lettuce and an order of french fries. Mozzerella sticks arrive. 3 on the plate. They were a good size but. only 3? why not at least 4? There are usually at LEAST2 people sitting at a table. Is the idea that they’re «so good» that you’d have to order more? Uh. NOT! They were average at best. Food arrives. The lettuce, tomato and onion on my burger were slopped up with oil, salt and pepper.(Like they were pulled off a hoagie and up-cycyled!) Too bad they didn’t use that type of ingenuity on the burger itself. A little salt and pepper to season the burger may have gone a long way. The burger itself? Greasy. No flavor whatsoever. But Lots and lots of grease. Pouring out of this burger. Positively disgusting. And my husband’s french fries? Never surfaced. They came out as potato chips. Now… I’m no chef, but I know the difference between french fries and potato chips. I also know I’ll never waste my money in here again.

I have been dining here for quite a while-the food is good, prices reasonable. They have different specials nightly, and we like the Italian night and the complete dinner night. We have gone about 6 times in the last few months. I printed a certificate about a month or two ago, and went with my girlfriends for dinner. Right off, I told the waitress I had one, and she told me they were not accepting them. We ate anyway. The company issued me a refund. Much to my surprise when I went looking for a replacement certificate-I saw 5 Points on the list again! I called the restaurant and was told that they were accepting them up until August 18. I gathered my friends together on August 14, and we went for dinner. As I was telling the waitress I had a Restaurant coupon, my friends had already come back from the buffet with soups and salads. The waitress told me I couldn’t use it with the buffet. I asked why, because the only exclusion was Holidays and Special events. This was neither. The man who told me the certificte was good on the phone came over and said it wasn’t good for the Italian dinner night buffet. I asked him to please show me where on the certificate it said that, and he couldn’t. Meanwhile, my friends were all enjoying their dinners and I was being aggravated and lost my appetite. I was told I could order off the menu and take food to go and if it totalled $ 50, I could use the $ 25 off certificate. When I asked, curiously, why I was told it was no good a month ago, the man said«Oh, it was good she shouldn’t have told you it wasn’t!» The other waitress who we have known for years came over to try to calm me. The point is, we are regulars there(or were-I will not be returning), and they should have given us the value of the certificate. They were extremely rude, did not explain to my satisfaction why, mostly how they were unsatisfied with . Well-hey-that’s not my problem. After I calmed down, my friends insisted I eat. This is not how you treat customers! I called this morning and got my money back, and they also issued me another $ 25 credit, and took down everything I told them.

We read a review in the AC press on this place and decided we had to try it prior to going to a concert in Vineland. It was great– We went on Sunday when they have a wonderful buffet– many seafood appetizers– shrimp, clams and oysters on ½ shell, mussels red and white, flounder roll ups clams casino and more. Then a carving station with ham, turkey, pork and very good prime rib. plus deserts Our waiter alos told us they have an Italian buffet on Tuesdays and a meat and potatoes buffet on Wednesday– can’t wait to go back and try them Only ½ hour drive from Somers Point and worth the trip

I always look for the good in any place I review. I’ve been racking my brain looking for something good to say about the Five Points Inn. I honestly can’t find one good thing to say. My wife and I went there on 11÷4÷11 with another couple. The place is very run down. It looked pretty dirty and dingy. It was Italian buffet night for $ 13.95. That would be a good deal if the food was edible. It was inedible but worse yet, their warmers, I believe, are not hot enough to prevent salmonella so I’m concerned that someone’s going to get sick. The server was rude and the kicker was the bunch of drunks sitting at the bar having a screaming contest every time their baseball team did anything, or nothing. So, to sum it up: Grungy, run down place Awful food which is possibly unsafe Rude service Screaming drunks at the bar I will not be back. One more thing — try to figure this one out. I like to drink my wine not the cheap swill that this place has. I told our host that I would like to buy a bottle of their wine at full price. They could keep their wine and in return I would drink my wine. The answer was NO! I know that this apparent policy has nothing to do with any local liquor laws since I do it all the time.
