Everyone seems to extol Michael’s. It seems like I never can get quite what I am looking for. They’ll have something, but it isn’t quite what I had hoped.
My online friends speak about all the discounts they get here. I must not be doing something right as I have found no bargains.
Nevertheless, when I need some art supplies in a jiffy, it is here and I can usually make do with what is there.
I agree with the other review that comments about the odd store layout. It is as though one must walk the whole store to find the one thing he is seeking.

Although our Michael’s is relatively new, our store recently got a very nice make-​over. Unfortunately they eliminated the party/​classroom, which is a shame because birthday parties at Michael’s were lots of fun. But what they put in it’s place is equally cool… a bead department– including an awesome selection of glass beads. They also cut down the silk department and expanded the scrapbooking section. They have SOOOO much stickers, and embossers and scrapbook paper. They also reorganized the children’s section so it’s much easier to find what you’re looking for. The also recently added a whole aisle of $ 1 – 5 items with stickers and other fun things for kids on the other side of the store.
So my complaints about the store: not enough yarn selections, weird register set up, no more classes, not enough variety of cake pans. Other than that, it’s a pretty decent store.
