This is the place to get the best broasted chicken in Benton County!
Ron-​Da-​Voo is the primary bar in downtown Vinton. It’s a pretty typical small town bar, with a friendly staff. Because it’s a bar, it can feel a little dark during the day — but the booths and tables are comfortable. The atmosphere is much improved since Iowa’s smoking ban; prior to the ban, the bar tended to get very smokey.
The main attraction at the Ron-​Da-​Voo is the broasted chicken. Their menu features a decent selection of bar food and some dinner entrees, all of which is pretty good… but the broasted chicken is special, and by far the best in town. If you’re in Vinton and craving chicken, skip the Pizza Ranch and go to the Ron-​Da-​Voo. It’s also a good — and under-​appreciated — take-​out venue.
