Thought this would be a perfect place to buy a last minute birthday gift for my mother’s 90th birthday. Lots of stuff to choose from, but I didn’t find anything suitable for a grumpy 90-​year-​old woman that likes watching game shows and complaining about every single thing I’ve ever done. It’s mainly clothes and knick knacks for middle-​aged North End ladies. Went to the CVS down the street and bought her some chewing gum and hearing aid batteries.
I would have gladly browsed around longer if it wasn’t for a strange smell. Not sure if it was the low tide smell seeping in, a plumbing issue, or some strange scented candles they were burning. I even checked the bottom of my shoes. Had a headache for the rest of the day and get nauseous just thinking about it now.
