Applebee’s

They have some good foods to choose from. Their burgers are awesome — flavorful and juicy. I also like the appetizer pairings, which you can choose 2 appetizers or 3 for a good price. Applebee’s has also improved their food. I wish they still served the chicken and broccoli alfredo. That was my favorite entrée but they took it out of the menu too soon!

This is my first time at this particular Apple Bee’s and I must say I’m pleasantly surprised. Though when we were seated the plates that were on the table where dirty and had food particles and crumbs on the plates. The seater was very embarrassed and removed them from the table.
Our food was cooked to perfection though a wee late coming out we weren’t in a hurry. Our waitress was attentive and refilled drinks without us having to ask. Now ladies and gentlemen to me that’s a plus!

Applebees locations can be hit or miss, these folks do a great job at this location. Friendly staff, food was well-​prepared, prep was quicker than other locations. Service from KW was super nice and attentive. Only ding was drink refills (soda and tea) are NOT free at this location and that knocked a star off. Overall a good experience.

We gave this Applebee’s location two tries, and they were both a disappointment. The servers vary between the two extremes of hovering at your table for an awkwardly long amount of time, or steering clear for so long that you have to flag someone down for a napkin. This evening’s experience took a full two hours, most of it spent waiting on food, for my party of two. We ordered dessert while still eating our entrées because we had an idea it might take awhile. We were correct, as we sat there watching the servers chat with each other at a booth off to the side for a full 20 minutes between finishing our food and the waitress finally saying, «oh, let me go check on that dessert.»
The final straw, however, was the dessert itself. As we began to eat, we noticed the ice cream was unusually hard. Sure enough, in the middle was a giant chunk of ice, with what appeared to be dirt or cardboard stuck to it. Okay, so prepackaged vats of ice cream that sit for awhile may have this happen, I get it. The manager’s response was to leave the melting ice cream on the sizzle platter with our brownie, while bringing us a new scoop of ice cream. Yum — watered down dessert.
Hard pass on ever visiting this location again.

It has been a very long time since I have been at an Applebee’s and my visit for lunch was satisfactory. It is like many chain restaurants, it will be good but not great but at least consistent.
I ordered the fiesta lime chicken that was pretty good except for the very dry and tasteless rice served with it.
I do have to say it was a pretty big turnoff when the manager brought my lunch with her thumb in the rice. Keep those paws out of my food!

The food was good, and the staff was nice however I had to look at an empty table next to us with half a plate of a kids meal on the ground. Luckily in the mess there was crayons that we didn’t get from the hostess for out own kids.
The place was Maybe ¹⁄₃ full and I’m not kidding this mess sat next to us 7 til the time we were done eating. Pretty nasty, and distracting for my own kids.

Chris Bergstrom II is me and my Dad’s absolute favorite server! The food is delicious and our favorites are the burgers. Sooooo juicy and tasty and always served to us hot. Out of all the restaurants we visit Applebee’s has the best of eveything. The Lynnhaven Pkwy location that is. WE LOVE YOU CHRIS B!!! Hey to «Kat», Karen, Jess, Curtiss, Diana, Jasmine, and Terri.

Just ate there Saturday night and the vomit in the parking lot should have been enough of a warning to eat somewhere else but my date and I still ate there. Not only did the food taste bad but it got us both sick. I wouldnt even write this review if the food didn’t mess our stomachs up so bad or if the food was even halfway decent.

I enjoyed my dining experience here on Tuesday. We walked in with no wait and headed for the bar… open seats!
The bartender greeted us immediately and asked what brought us in… FREE Food, I exclaimed!
We tried the new sampler and enjoyed it! The churros weren’t too sweet and the shrimp was just right. I’d stay away from the churros (not a sweet fan) but the shrimp, oh most definitely I will order them next chance I get.
The drinks were tasty also. It was happy hour so I had a margarita and a bahama mama for $ 4 each :)
The margarita was a bit tangy to my liking, but I don’t waste any drink… I ordered it, I’ll drink it. Nevertheless, I doubt I’d order it again. So I moved on to the bahama mama… yummmmm! A fruity drink, but it was just right! I think I found my drink of choice from the happy hour menu.
I must add, the bartendar sprinkled some salt on the napkin before he placed the drinks in front of me… not sure why! Weird, but maybe that’s «his thing»
Of course, well drinks were available on the happy hour menu but sometimes you just want to sip and chat and this was my purpose on this day. And it was mid week, so come on :)
My babe ordered the pot stickers and he must of enjoyed them, because he didn’t offer me any or mention how good they were or lack there of :) It’s ok, they did look good though. But I must say, they appearred to be larger on the menu than in person. I was a little taken back by the presentation. You may want to order another.
Just recently, I have been searching for happy hours that feature healthy options for those that wish to sip and enjoy light fare and Applebee’s fits the bill!!!
I tried the caesar salad and it was just right! They also offer a house salad too! Way to go Applebee’s! Now I must say, I didn’t care too much for Applebee’s in the past, with the exception of their kiwi lemonade :) but I am a changed woman!!!
I will definitely think of Applebee’s first when I want a quick bite to eat!

We went here last Friday (5÷1÷15) around 6pm. We figured we’d hit a big rush but luckily it wasn’t too bad, I chalked it up to the bad weather. We were seated right away and our server came very soon after. Her name was Jess S. She was AMAZING! Very personable, knowledgeable and hardworking. She made us feel like we were at home. Our food and drinks were ordered and served very quickly. She made sure we were always serviced and our table was clean of empty plates/​cups/​trash. She gave us the bill as soon as we asked. Other servers spoke nicely to us and our two children. It was a very clean restaurant too. Food was very good, hot and fresh! I usually have mediocre experiences with chain restaurants but this was unlike any visit I ever had. I cannot commend the staff enough on a great restaurant!

Just left so FRIENDLY! Was seated not by one but 3 waitresses! Our waitress Cynthia was not only welcoming but told us great deals, talk to us and made us feel welcomed, friendly and nice!

Applebee’s for dinner. A treat. It’s wing and draft night at Applebee’s so why not. Decent wings, a few beers, how bad can it be. Well not this Applebee’s. The wait staff were all cheerful and appear to enjoy their jobs. The food is better then expected. Sriracha shrimp and hot buffalo wings, a fresh Yuengling draft. The shrimp are awesome, I ordered two more plates. The wings were kind of sweet and a little mild for Hot Buffalo, but still delicious. Over all this Applebee’s has impressed me.

I wish I could give this place no stars. It took us 45 minutes to get any food. We ordered an appetizer which came out with the food we ordered. And after waiting that long for our food already, the steak we ordered came back way undercooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen. Our waitress was great but overall the food and quality wasn’t worth any wait, let alone a 45 minute one.

I had a great dinner family here twice we have gotten the same server here both times and he was awesome and on top of everything. The food was great my steak was perfectly cooked very good place for dinner:)

Wasn’t a fan of Applebees but I decided to go for the first time In about 4 years. Chris was my server. I loved him, quiet but attentive, playful but not disruptive. I didn’t care for the manager hostess (thin older white woman) She talked trash about other customers and that’s not cool. The manager never checked on me, that would have been nice. My food was great, beer was cold and server was excellent. Hopefully they will continue to work toward positive experiences. My previous experience was aweful. I recommend the server Chris every time!!!

I must be honest, I was surprised that this location has so few reviews. Only 1 review! I mean Applebee’s has been around since «Member’s Only» jackets were the top fashion trend, and since Madonna was still a… well, never mind. But back to the review: Only 1 review till now. Interesting. And upon my experience here, I suppose I see why there aren’t many reviews for Applebee’s. You know what you are getting when you visit, because the setup and menu has indeed not changed much over the years.
To this particular visit: The atmosphere was all right… the wait staff was all right… (Sometimes it did take a bit for a drink refill to happen, check to arrive, etc). And the food? Well, all right… Specifically to the menu: Their new concept on burgers is an «all in burger» Sounds exciting. But it just means that ingredients are cooked in to the meat patty itself. So, as far as «presentation» goes, what arrives at your table is a patty on bread. That’s it! Not even any Lettuce, Pickles, Onions on the side of the plate to add! «Just bun and Bread, man, that’s all you get»! Prison food! :-) (Note for clarification, they did not say that last sentence, but that thought was running through my head when the plain burger on a bun came out).
So with the ‘okay’ atmosphere and service, and the «bad concept from the start» burger patty on a bun with no option for lettuce/​tomato/​onion on the plate, I give them about a 2.5 star… rounding up to a 3 star because they do have free meals for Military/​Retired on Veterans Day, which is awesome.

New to the area we decided to go in against a prior recommendation because the weather was terrible. Believe it or not they were open we were greeted and seated quickly. Steph was our server and is the only reason we will be back. The manager sat in the corner crunching on chips quizzing the waitress on useless information about wine and lemon chicken Alfredo and what It tastes like. This is not rocket science I bet it tastes like lemon, pepper, and chicken!!! He was talking loud enough that I wanted to tell him to shut up and learn to chew with his mouth shut. Our server was the only reason we will be back. Thank you steph you rock.
