Aura Day Spa

It was awful! There was only a husband and wife staff.
The wife had a nasty attitude and DARED TO ASK ME FOR A TIP?! WTF??? WHAT BUSINESS PRACTICE IS THAT?! Tipping is not a requirement, it’s to reward a great job. When you don’t provide a great job, the client is not obligated to tip!!! Wow! What a terrible place. She charged me $ 20 for ½ a manicure’s job done.
My nails looked just as bad before the service as after

Hands down, the worst pedicure that I ever received! My best friend and I were going to the beach and stopped to get our toes done first. The salon was clean and the staff was very friendly. However, all three technicians appeared to have a tough time completing their services. They were extremely slow and my pedicure looked like it was done by a me. Also, due to the language barrier, I was unable to communicate my issues with the services. So after biting the bullet and paying $ 30 (which is more than I usually pay), the technician asked my friend if he could have a tip…

I’m giving this place a great rating because of convenience, cleanliness and for exceeding my expectations. It’s always a crap shoot getting your nails done while traveling, but I walked into Aura and was greeted nicely, attended to immediately on a Friday afternoon. They didn’t rush and did a fabulous job on my mani/​pedi. A great little spot to escape near the boardwalk without spending an arm and a leg.

I came by this nail salon by coincidence while going on a run. I was nicely greeted at the door and had my nails done in a timely manner. I would differently go back here again if I’m in town.

No no no I booked us a couple massage and a padi.
No it was not fun. the room was a bit small but we didn’t mind. It also smelled bad and the guy who was rubbing my back kept passing gas. My Husband was not happy because he asked for a woman and still had a guy touching him. My back was hurting after I left and we didn’t even get a padi. They have a great price but don’t waste your money

Had some extra time on my vacation so I decided to take my lil sis and treat her to the spa mani pedi. Started with a pedicure. That went very well. They seemed to have over booked. They had a girl who had never done a pedi or mani before do My lil sisters nails. It turned out pretty good my pedicure was good also. Now my manicure was a different. They tried to rush because they had massage clients that were waiting (for a while) needless to say my manicure looked REAL crappy. Bubbles smudges and chips. If you are gonna go here make sure they don’t try to rush you. It will not end well.

Aura is a small, clean spa on the ocean front. The staff was very nice and the prices are on par with other spas. The bad thing about it being on the ocean front is the lack of parking. Most of the lots nearby are reserved for the hotels.
My friend and I both got mani-​pedis with hot stones. The pedicure was great for the both of us, but the manicure leaves something to be desired.
I had shellac on my nails and the manicurist didn’t recognize it and tried to take it off like it was regular polish. They then had me soak my hands in acetone. I was internally cringing the entire time about how dried out my hands were going to be. I know there are better methods of soaking the shellac with acetone. I then had to wait for 15 min while they looked for a clear shellac top coat (I’m Navy and unfortunately bright colors are a no-​no). She didn’t do a great job of filing my nails evenly either so the end result was a little rough looking.
My friend had a French manicure, but it came out looking a little matted and also rough looking. The white tips were uneven and the one nail that was redone didn’t look any better.
The lady who did my mani-​pedi definitely had less experience than the one that did my friend’s. They constantly switched so the more experienced lady ended up painting all of my nails.
I probably won’t be coming back. There are places closer to me that produces better results.
