Dairy Queen

This DQ needs some help… no really, they need help!!!
It took over an hour just for them to get to us to get our order. It looked like they had about 5 or 6 people in the tiny little hut working, but they were all over the place.
I’ve been here before and it wasn’t that bad! I don’t know what’s happened.
This is what I get for cheating on CookOut… ugh, I feel guilty now.

Exactly what to expect with any other dairy queen, except poorer than average service. Five people working in a non-​seating room location (only walk up or drive thru) but only one actual working.

Terrible 25 minute walk up service just for ice cream. Drive thro manned and only 5.

It’s pretty much like every other dairy queen out there, good blizzards and lots of choices. There is usually a pretty long line in the summer for the drive thru, but they seem to move quickly. They have an extra drive thru but I’ve never seen it used, it would be nice if they did since the cars often pile into the parking lot surrounding the building. My chief complaint with this store would be whenever I order a medium or large blizzard the bottom is always plain vanilla ice cream so they go a little skimpy on their mix-​ins, and the chocolate blizzards always end up like vanilla too. Overall not bad for fast food ice cream though, it gets the job done.

I was dying for a chocolate milkshake after getting a headache spending 15 minutes shopping for pillows at Marshall’s. Lucky for me the Haygood Shopping Center which is my stomping grounds had the fix. A stand alone DQ drive thru only establishment with four tables to dine out. The second drive thru lane has been closed every since we moved here. 9 years ago. At times the line can get congested. This was not my first rodeo believe me! I have been a fan of DQ and this location for years. Today just one car stood in front of me and a tasty chocolate shake, I couldn’t wait. When it was my turn I put in the order and was pleased the employee who repeated the order and gave a total. I waited for less than one minute and hooray!!! I noticed four employees all working hard in their small confined area. When I received it… I thought perfection with whip and a cherry on top. The employee smiled and asked if I wanted a receipt. I love that… HELL NO, I mean no thank you saved a tree. When my lips hit the straw I was delighted, another success story. When pulling out I could see the tables were all clean and no trash in sight. This DQ only does ice-​cream and I believe a hot dog for food. If they keep pumping out delicious cool treats I will be keep coming back.
