This was a horrible experience for me. The salad bar and dessert table were awful and not fresh. Our server didn’t service us well. He stayed at the bar on his phone. They were out of fried rice and lemonade. Simple things like that shouldn’t be unavailable. The Mongolian food was prepped fresh and it was okay. They won’t help you with the meal or recommend ingredients if it’s your first time. Very unhelpful compared to other Mongolian places.

This is my all time favorite type of food. I’m working very hard to loose weight so I love choosing my vegetables, white meat chicken and limiting the oil and or sauce! It’s cooked for me so there is no mess to clean up. So I stopped by here on my way home from work. I got ONE(see pic) bowl of food… And was charged $ 14.50??? That is simply OUTRAGEOUS!!! I will NOT be back!!!’ In the for what it’s worth department the food was pretty good.

So good! Mongolian BBQ and sushi combo. Larger selection of veggies and meat than other Mongolian BBQ restaurants. Small dessert selection but very tasty. Restaurant clean. Service was courteous and fast. Price is comparable, especially for the amount of protein available. My only suggestion for improvement is the service could have been more personable but not a reason to not visit.

The food and atmosphere at DW’s is above average. It is one of the better Mongolian BBQ restaurants in the area. If you are a fan of this cuisine it is not a bad place to go. There are two things that keep my rating at 3 stars. First, staffing. The line at the BBQ was 25 –30 minutes long most of the time. This meant one and done for most of our party. Second, the sushi bar was empty more often than not. It was frustrating to have a group of people sit at a table facing inordinately long waits for food.

I had the biggest craving for this stuff the other day. There aren’t many options in Hampton Roads but I decided to stop in. I enjoyed my time there. I hit the line twice and was pleasantly plump from the food that I inhaled. The sushi selection could have a couple of added options but you know you’re not there for the sushi. You’re there for the tasty noodles, meat, and vegetables! I noticed that when I tried to just splash the hot sauce in my bowl and not add the entire selection to my bowl, the chef had other plans. He continued to put every option available in my bowl, but it didn’t taste bad. I just wanted something different.

DWs is good. I haven’t been here for a while. Although I have my favorite, I forgot the large variety of veggies here and the other items that come with it. Not to mention the salad bar, sushi, and ice cream! I would recommend it here, the food is good, you can never really go wrong when you are putting together what you want. People are kind, service is good. They even have to go, which I must admit I like from time to time. Look for their coupons too!

Great food at such a low price! The chefs were helpful with picking the oils and sauces. We will definitely be stopping here again.

Went here with a big group of people, including kids. Atomosphere was as you would expect for buffet type of place. This was my first experience at a mongolian bbq, i really enjoyed the option of all the fresh veggies and meat. Food was very tasty, i picked a garlic sauce and smothered my food with it. I was jot brave enough to try the sushi. Had some okay icecream and fruit for dessert. Service was good, fast with drinks and friendly. Overall deserved a 3 star rating, wasnt the cleanest(floor was dirty) and food didnt blow me away.

Another great place to eat! It’s a buffet and you can get what you like with your noodles. Satisfied with the selection and variety of the toppings you could put with your noodles. Also satisfied with the sushi and other items available, and happy with the service. Try the crème brûlée. :)

I’ve been coming here for quite a while. This is one of my favorite Mongolian places here in Hampton Roads. The motto of the place is that you can eat«All You Can Conquer». One thing you can be sure of conquering here is your appetite. There is a very large television in here at the back of the place. Most of the time I’ve been here, it’s usually been set to a news station of some sort. When you look at the place from the outside, it looks fairly normal and nothing overly crazy. Once you get inside, the place is fairly plain. Although the place inside is fairly plain, there really doesn’t need to be much, as it’s not expensive to begin with here. However, the place is generally decorated nicely during the holidays and they are generally open on Christmas Day. Once inside, to the right is the veggie and meat station, which works much like a cafeteria line. You start with bowl and fill it. You can fill it with veggies, in which some are rotating from day to day. Next come the meats. You have quite a variety from white and dark meat chicken to shrimp, scallops, and other options. Tofu is even an option for those that are into it. The last step before the cooking begins is to add various liquid sauces of sorts to help the food cook. Generally, you should go for one scoop of each of the ones offered. When it isn’t busy, the cooks will offer to put the liquids in for you. Personally, I still like to do it myself so I can control what goes in, especially the Mongolian sauce since that one is very salty. Feel free to choose only the liquids and sauces you want. I always tend to double up on the hot spicy oil. Once done, you hand the bowl over to the cook to cook it for you. They also have a few options sitting there by the cooking area that you can pick up as well. Sometimes it may be egg rolls. Other times it may lumpia. Although I don’t normally eat sushi, they do have sushi options available. At your table, they do bring some bread and you can also choose a soup such as egg drop soup and a rice(white or fried). Each person could choose their own rice if they wanted as well. For the most part, I have have always had great service here. They are quick to clear any empty plates and bring drink refills as needed. If for some reason you aren’t full by the time you finish your meal(or meals), they have some dessert options as well. You have the option for soft-serve ice cream(vanilla, chocolate, or mixed), cookies, pudding, and many other options. Overall, this is a great place for Mongolian BBQ. I don’t think you will be left feeling hungry after eating here. The overall atmosphere is friendly, clean, organized, and relaxing. On a side note, with all the vegetables you’ll hopefully be eating, you may want some gas pills too. You’ll thank me later.

Not bad. We came here for a friend’s birthday celebration this past weekend. Everyone was so surprised that the place was pretty empty for a Saturday night. There were about 20 of us and they put a bunch of tables in a row so everyone could sit together. The food was your usual for Mongolian — you choose your veggies, noodles, your meats(beef, pork, chicken, lamb), they even had seafood — imitation crab meat, fish, tiny pieces of scallop, you choose your sauces, and the chefs cook it in front of you. For my first round, I let the Chef pick the sauces for me; I just said«Nothing spicy.» It was ok. But the second round, I chose the sauces myself — a lot of garlic water, lots of Oyster sauce, Mongolian sauce, ginger sauce, and BOY was it way better! Go me! I tried the sushi — not a fan. But then again, I know you should never really get food at a place if it’s not what the place is known for. This wouldn’t be my first choice in places to dine at, but I guess it’s not too bad for the price($ 25ish for dinner for 2.) It’s kinda like a poor man’s Hibachi if you will. Just missing the rice.

Awful place. We thought it was a buffet and Mongolian BBQ. It isn’t, just a BBQ. Staff speaks little to no English. Food was average.

I’ve been to DW’s numerous times. The servers are always nice and attentive. The food is okay for the price. My only complaint would be the salad and dessert bar aren’t always kept the cleanest or stocked.

I thought this place was pretty great. It’s pretty much a buffet(I’m not sure why they just won’t say that). But each person is about $ 13 and they have a stir fry bar where you pick whatever veggies, seafood, poultry that you want and the chefs behind the grill will sauté it for you. You also get a range of sauces to pick from. The bread that you get it delicious! The sesame seeds add a nice fresh taste to it. There’s also a sushi and dessert bar. When I came it was pretty dead. Granted it was pouring outside so that probably explained why nobody was out. The staff here is nice as well. Parking is easy sine they have their own lot and the place is pretty spacious.

This used to be my favorite Mongolian BBQ place. After last night I will never return! It started with them being out of shrimp and scallops and even after I asked about it they didn’t bring more out. They were out of sushi and that was never replenished either. Then once we sat down there was no rice, and when I asked for some the guy looked at me like I was asking him to go get me a Big Mac or something so out of the norm that he has to go completely out of his way. It was so weird that I almost asked him if that was a problem! The service didn’t improve and the warm tea refill added to our dissatisfaction. The place was not very clean and the counters where you get your food was not wiped off, so it was just a sad visit to what was once in my opinion the best Mongolian joint in town! On a good note though the food is always good, and they have added pineapple and jalapeños on the food bar now. so if you can overlook the rest of the issues you will leave full and happy!
