Farm Fresh

I’m generally not one to go out of my way to report negatives about a business, but I’m quite underwhelmed by the staff at this store. I’ve visited several times since moving to the area and it always seems that the employees try to avoid customers instead of being helpful and willing to answer questions.
During my visit yesterday I asked the produce person if they had any of the ties for the plastic produce bags. He looked at a few of the cups that should hold these and then just looked at me and said they were out. My guess is that this isn’t an item that they would/​should run out of often so it surprised me that he wasn’t willing to go to the back and find more.
My second encounter with apathetic staff was when I was checking out and one of my produce items was ringing up with a higher price than advertised. I mentioned it to the cashier and after trying a few different codes and possibilities, the young man just rang it up at the higher price and moved on. It was a small amount of difference so I let it go, but I suggested that he let someone know so that they could correct the amount in their system. At that comment, the young man mumbled under his breath, «maybe YOU should let someone know». Wow! Talk about not taking ownership for your job duties.
I hope the management of this store takes the time to train their staff on what good customer service looks like, because even though this store is just a block away from my home, I’ll be driving farther to find a place that treats their customers better.

Every time I come into this Farm Fresh the food from the deli smells so good! Farm Fresh is a good grocery store to shop at and save money. They give discounts if you use recycled bags, military discounts and of course using coupons! Now if one does this your saving some money without a doubt!
They have a new organic line of food which I have tried and I am pleased with it personally.
There deli consists of a chicken wings hot bar that at times have bbq short ribs, salad bar, freshly made buns which are 3 for 99 cents. They also have premade pizzas cheese and pepperoni and just cheese (not the frozen), and cold cut sandwiches.
They have a nice selection of wines and beers as well. Also, one day of each week is senior citizens day but I’m not sure which day that is though I’m sure one could call to inquire.

Where do I start? I have no idea how this place has almost 5 stars I go here almost 3 time a week every time I go in theres all the employee are hanging around the front desk playing around and not helping anybody that need help at the cashier. Today I went in again and same but I get in line with one customer in front of me and the cashier tells me to go to other lane because she looked like she was tired of working or she didn’t want to be working anymore They are rude in there! And also looks like there’s no management in there to control these employees if you call it that! I’m over this place good luck everyone!

A nice clean shop with very wide aisles and decent prices. I really only needed a couple of bits to replace the things I decimated from my mom’s fridge but everything here looked really good. LOVE the produce section.
You folks in VB have it good with these here.
Not the easiest parking lot but it gets the job done.

So I saw a sign inside Farm Fresh talking about their $ 4.99/lb salad bar. At Harris Teeter it’s $ 5.99/lb. It’s a little closer to my office so I figured I go and save me a buck.
I prefer the brightness of Harris Teeter. No big deal. The offerings are roughly the same. No big deal. The only difference? The dressing options. Yes, that’s sort of a big deal to me. At Harris Teeter I’m able to throw some oil and vinegar, separately, to make my mix. Farm Fresh though… They have a bunch of options but nothing that I saw that was a separate oil and vinegar. Their options are nice but mostly what I saw that was healthy were some really stick stuff.
I’ll probably go back for another shot but having some thick, heart attack dressings (ok, not really) sort of is a deal breaker to me.

This is a very nice farm fresh and the selection and prices are good.
The store is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. They carry some craft beer in the beer cave, which is good compared to most local grocery stores.
The veg here is fresh and not half rotten like food lion down the street.

I have to say, this Farm Fresh is by far the best one I’ve ever been in. From looking at it from the outside, the building looks like it’s due for an upgrade, and the parking lot needs some repaving. It’s not too appealing. But when you walk in, it like you stepped into a different world.
We will start with the cleanliness. I haven’t seen too many Farm Fresh stores (actually, not too many stores period) as clean as this one. I go every now and again in the morning, so it could be because the night crew does a fantastic job and I’m one of the first to walk up in there, but it’s a breath of «FRESH» air!
Now for the service. Every time I’ve been in there, there has been only one cashier, named Karen. If she is not in management, she needs to be! She is very knowledgeable of just about everything in that store. And is she doesn’t know it, she will find out for you… quickly! When you are there, it’s like you are the only customer in the store. I’m really impressed with her level of customer service!
And of course, there’s the salad bar. YES! Everything is fresh and presented well. The bakery folks add a comedic side to the service, and everybody goes out of their way to at least say «good morning».
When I review a grocery store, you are only getting 1 star or 5 stars. You have to absolutely suck or completely wow me. This Farm Fresh has wow’d me. Their grocery prices still kind of suck, but the service far out weights their need for some price reductions.

Fantastic grocery store. Immaculately clean. Terrific service. Five Star selection.
