They have golf summer camp. And seriously. it’s been a lifesaver. We put my stepson in camp this week because the video game playing was just getting out of hand. And it’s 7 hours of sheer joy for me because I can work in peace and not have to worry about how video games are truly a detriment to the youth of today. The best part about all of this is that he is actually enjoying golf camp. There are a bunch of kinds during this week’s session and they are all age groups. They break them up by skill level. And guys? There has been absolutely no complaining. He’s 12 and very close to 13. I think that age group until they’re about 20 drive parents/adults all over the world crazy with complaining. I would highly recommend signing up your kid if you want them to get outdoors and learn a skill. actually. they learn multiple skills, ranging from good sportsman like conduct, honesty, compassion … umm. you know. all those great life building skills that make young people likeable. And if you just want them to get off that darn video/computer game. The price isn’t too bad either. Plus they learn how to golf. And that is a skill they can take with them way into adulthood. If you’re military you get a great deal, too!
