Forbes Candies

Oh man, folks. If you are not a fan of Taffy candy (as I was), this place will change your mind!!!
It was a totally random stop, our goal and reason for coming to this area was for coffee next door. BF said, «Let’s check the candy store out.» SO glad we did.
Came in, and the place is beautiful and bright. I love places that are spacious and get a lot of natural light.
There was a woman who greeted us as soon as we came in, and said to, «Holler if we needed anything.» Boy was she sweet.
As sweet as the taffy! We were told to sample whatever flavors we wanted and that, «When Mr. Forbes was alive, he wanted everyone to sample ALL the flavors.» I wanted to but didn’t. lol. I only tried the Creamsicle flavor and was immediately SOLD. It was chewy, soft (unlike other taffy that I’ve tasted), & oh-​so-​flavorful! I just grabbed a handful of these and my bf picked one of each of 4 or 5 flavors. Our total was less than two dollars! I should have gotten more.
Not to worry, I will shall return to get more. Yay for new random & delicious discoveries!

This place has 5 stars for a reason. I stopped on my lunch today and enjoyed my experience immensely. The manager was very sweet and we had a nice conversation. The candies look amazing! I got taffy to send to my hubby overseas (he’s deployed) and myself a chocolate caramel pretzel rod which was better than what I imagined.
I can’t say enough positive things about Forbes. It’s my new fave place for gifts and for treating myself.
Oh, and they have a new Rum and Coke flavored taffy.
