Tight quarters. Lots of Filipino accents in the air. No public bathroom.(How the heck did this get by food and beverage to operate like this?) Uncles in the house running around. A handwritten menu taped on a pole. All the signs needed for some authentic Filipino cuisine! A couple things to note: — If you have to use the restroom, figure it out before you go. They let me use theirs but it was awkward walking through the kitchen. — I would suggest your party to be no greater than four. It gets tight inside and the place doesn’t seat a lot of people. — I feel like this is more of a take out place than anything so consider that if you do end up eating your meal there. I ordered the sisig(Filipino frizzling pork), cooked to order. They did have a cafeteria-style set up like you find in most Filipino restaurants but after seeing sisig on their handwritten menu, I had to order it. It came out piping hot, fresh as I was excited for it to be. My last encounter with sisig came from a Filipino chain when I was in Las Vegas and theirs was really off the hook. While I found Goto Mami’s dish to be good, my standard of great tasting sisig has been set high. Not too shabby. I’d go back. A good pre-workout meal before headed over to Onelife.

My nephew and I went there for breakfast and that was a bad idea. We ordered a couple of silog breakfasts, longsilog and tapsilog. For drinks my nephew ordered a coconut juice and I ordered a coffee. So the waiter goes over gets out a tray, pours hot water in a mug, places the jar of folgers instant coffee, sugar, and creamer on it and gives it to me. WTF? The breakfast comes out. The tapa was tough, garlic rice was old. OK, I don’t even want to even finish writing this review because it’s making me pissed so I’ll stop here. Bottom line if I can give it negative stars I would. Don’t go here. It’s not going to last.

Walked in for wife’s birthday because she wanted a reminder of San Diego and her grandma’s cooking. We asked for a menu and got a weird look. The guy handed us a menu that was old and outdated. Half the menu I couldn’t order(it was a Saturday afternoon when I came). My wife asked for pancit and was told they don’t sell it here. What filipino place doesn’t sale pancit. I ordered bbq spare ribs, chicken adobo, lumpia and white rice. The guy ended up making her pancit because I told him it was her birthday. We took the food home because there was no room to eat. Two older females were seated and took up most of the seating there. The bbq spare ribs were 50% fat and tasted old(probably made days ago if I had to guess). The chicken adobo tasted old too and was oily. The rice was okay(I guess the best part of meal). My wife in the other hand she tasted the lumpia and she thought it tasted like frozen store bought. The pancit my wife had tasted gross and she cried because it was so bad. I ended up buying food from another place. I do not know how this place is in business. This was one of the worst food experiences I had and I will be reminded because it was on my wife’s birthday. I wish I could give this place a zero star rating but Unilocal doesn’t let me. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE!!!

Really like this place. The people who work here are very friendly, and the food I’ve tried thus far is awesome and flavorful! Kind of reminds me of home :) So far, I’ve had lumpia, siopao, chicken mami, and halo halo. Next time, the plan is to try the sisig and some of the breakfast foods. Also, the place tends to have varying hours. Your best bet would be to call in and check what time they close. Can’t always rely on Unilocal or Google to tell you what time a company/restaurant is open.

Start with the positive, food is good, only place where you can find this type of Filipino food. Now the bad: place is closed most of the time, it says on the sign it closes at 8 pm but closes around 5 sometimes 4. Sad because they can be making more money simply by being consistent or post the accurate closing time… BTW the server is always in a hurry to go home and not as polite as most servers.

Visiting from out of town and tried Goto Mami. My son said it was good, but I had never eaten Filipino food before. We got the Lumpia and Pansit, along with Pork Adobe and some BBQ skewers on a stick. All the food was very good and reasonably priced. We fed four for $ 34 and had food left over. Will eat here again before leaving Norfolk!

Came in on a weekday. Food cooked to order. But then they had some prepared food on the hotbar(which had to be warmed up). So we were puzzled about what the process was when we walked in. We ordered fresh spring rolls, sigsig and mami soup. They were out of the fresh springs rolls and the sisig. So we ordered lumpia instead. Not a bad price –10 for 3.50 but if you like lumpia with a healthy portion of filling, then you better look elsewhere. Mami was hot and flavorful, cooked fresh to order with boiled egg nicely sliced on the side of the bowl and chinese cabbage and cilantro. Siopao was very warm and tasty. Served in a steamer basket – quite appealing. Not sure if we will return unless we get referrals or see better reviews.

New Filipino food place. Since I live really close by, I stopped in to try them out.(They are in the strip mall with Onelife Fitness off of Princess Anne Rd, last business on the left end of the strip mall). We came in and bought 20 Lumpia, and a quart sized container of Pancit to go. Food was very affordable! Went back to the house and we really enjoyed the food. I’ll have to visit again sometime to sample other items on their menu. — In fact, I imagine I will be over there again before the weekend is out!.. Only negative was they did not have ‘to go’ cups yet, so I could not get a soda to go, but they are just getting up and running, so that could be why. Overall, great Filipino cuisine they cook over there at very nice prices. If you like Filipino cuisine, definitely give them a try.
