I was in the market for needing new gutters, as the house I had recently purchased had gutters from when the house was originally built many years ago. The original gutters weren’t the seamless ones that you can get today, so every time it rained, you could always see the dripping from them. I ended up finding out about this company through other online sites when searching for companies that replace gutters. I had heard the name of this company before through radio ads, but had forgotten about them when I was in the search. Prior to having them come out to quote the cost of the project, I had gotten quotes from Lowe’s and Home Depot. In the end, the cost for the project was about $ 300-$ 400 less than the big box home improvement stores. One other difference was that their gutters were standard at five inch gutters. For the big box stores, four inch gutters were standard instead with an additional up-charge if we wanted the five inch gutters. David was the representative that came out to measure and price the cost of the gutter project. One of the first things I did was ask about how their $ 395 gutter deal worked. For my gutters, it ended up being the $ 395 since it was just under 100 linear feet. I do agree somewhat with what others have said about the promotion being deceptive at first. After asking for the full details of the promotion, what happens is that yes, the gutters were $ 395. However, the downspouts are not considered part of the gutters. This is the point where it looks deceptive. Like others, I would have just thought it was part of it, not an additional charge, but in fact it was. This is where it makes the price higher than the promotion that is advertised. I wanted to make sure this info was included so that those who are looking at them can see how it works. In the end, once I had gotten sufficient info from him, I went ahead and had them do the project. One thing that I did like is David didn’t try to up-sell me on other items such as gutter guards, etc. About a week later, they came out to do the gutters. I was not home at the time the job was completed. They completed the whole thing before I got home from work. They had come earlier than scheduled, which was just fine. Overall, they did a great job with the gutters and so far I have had no issues. We had to throw away a few pieces of the old gutters, as they did haul all of them away. The gutters come with a 20 year warranty for the product and a one year labor warranty. Hopefully that will be something that never has to be used. These gutters are working out much better than the old gutters with seams that were there well before I purchased the property.

BEWAREOFTHISCOMPANY ! — Mr. Lyons and his House of Gutters were caught by me trying substitute an inferior gutter guard in place of the Rhino gutter guards that were spelled out on my contract. With help from the manufacture, they made sure he provided the correct gutter guards. House of Gutters however, installed them incorrectly. There are also other problems with the gutters he installed. I Made several calls to the company. Mr. Lyons has taken the cowardly approach and does not return my calls. It appears he’s not going to honor the warranty as stated in the contract. BUYERSBEWARE! Stay away from House of Gutters! FYI Rhino Gutter Guard has removed House of Gutters as an authorized dealer of their product!

This was a definite bait and switch I called seeing that they had«any house 395» Up to 100 feet. Well I had 137 feet my price 1,205 $ one would think 137 feet would surely cost less. I mean for 1,205 I could get 300 feet 395×3 = 1,185. So looks like they hook you with a low price add.

I called and set up a estimate on a Friday. He stated he would come with various colors and styles. I stated I knew exactly what I needed already. Four days later a no call/show. I called from my cell and no answer then called from an unknown number and he answers right away. Says he didn’t have an appt listed and would be over in two hours. Another no call or show. He advertises 100 feet of gutters for $ 395.00 which I needed more and larger size then i’m sure that includes. My guess is a nice bait and switch system he has. Unless he gets you to jump on a fancy gutter or vinyl trim for your windows or fascia he is not interested.
