Good: open on Saturday and able to do the job right away. Bad: Technician spent most of the time criticizing the existing door system and if he just fixed the existing system it would only last 2 years most. The system is original from the home built in 1997. Estimate given to me by J&S over the phone $ 200 — $ 300, actual cost to repair two broken springs $ 600.00. Technician assumed I was going to use their service and started writing an invoice, I advised it was way too expensive, he than charged me a service fee of $ 55.00 without telling me ahead of time. Technician advised me that that is a lot of work and they were being nice and charging less than their competitors. Called Virginia Doors and received an estimate for $ 240.00 actual cost $ 240.00. Much nicer customer service. Unfortunately I had a bad experience.

They had a good offer in the yellowpages for free home visit so I gave them a call and they came by right when the said they would be here. They gave me an idea of what the cost would be to replace the cables. When they got here they honored the price they gave me over the phone, but there was some additional cost for some parts that were needed. In all I didn’t mind since there was no service charge anyway, and the price to have the cables, springs and casters was $ 250. In all, I would recommend them.
