DONOTPAYCASH — YOURPAIDTABCANBESTOLENANDGETYOUBARRED I would probably rate this place higher for the food and time spent here over the years if not for the treatment of management and staff as of recent. I went to the Kempsville location for the first time on a Tuesday night. There was only three other ladies at a table not far from my BF and I. We got in a spat and the bartender screamed at us to pay our tab and leave. She proceeded to scream at us to get out and threatened barring us and added from both locations! I am wondering what the heck? While fumbling to pay bill, realized cash-wise we were $ 4 short(she charged us full price $ 14.00 for 2 fireball shots at 1 minute until happy hour was over and they should have been $ 2 on this night, and that is what we thought we were paying). Now, I also had a credit card to use but she screamed she did not care about the $ 4, she would cover it, to get out and if we did not leave now she would bar us for good and at both LOCATIONS! She was yelling and going off louder than the spat we had! I live near the other location and have gone there for 7 years. Especially football season! I also spend about average $ 45 on my self with food or food to go for lunch next day at work and upwards of $ 90 with my BF for food and drinks when we go and sometimes that was three times or more a week! I waited a month of this occurring because I was ticked off and called the manager to tell her what happened and see what the deal was before I contemplated visiting again. I have worked in bars and never was someone kicked out for an argument with a bf. Let alone barred from two locations permanently? Told her what happened, she said she did not know about it and no worker can just bar someone let alone from both locations without her knowing or authorizing. Staff can only send you out for the night. So, thinking everything was good we went back in and got food and a few beers one night at other location. No problem. Next night stopped for two beers before going home to cook and was told what are you doing here — there was an issue with you two and you are not allowed here from Kempsville location. Bartender from that night was sitting at end of bar looking at us. The Cook came out and confronted us and said manager said we were kicked out. I said we were here last night? I talked to manager already too and she told me no one told her about it and no one but she can bar someone from both locations permanently. He said when? I told him she was working behind bar for a girl that needed off one night and I drove by going to the store and saw her so I stopped and came in and talked to her. He rebuffed that she is not here that night and never works behind the bar and the bartender last night did not know we were barred. I said because we are not. Now if a regular person was really barred from two locations wouldn’t the whole staff know? He refuted all that I said as if I was lying and so we just left. Now more ticked than ever. I am calling the manager and getting this settled once again… what a waste of time! I have called twice and once again talked to manager where she informed me that we walked out on our tab! A tab I have no proof of paying because we paid cash. So beware. DONOT pay cash! If you do GET A RECEIPT! I told her we fumbled for the cash as she lambasted us and she said she would cover the $ 4 short just get out! So how did we walk out on our tab? I said that was a lie, the bartender was screaming at us as she swiped up the cash off the counter. I explained everything and she said that she would talk to her and I said well she stole the money if that is what you were told and her register was short that night almost $ 50.00? She needed to look at cameras to see that the lady was stealing from her. She said she’s worked for me a long time and would tell her the truth and she would talk to her. I said I did not understand how all this comes about from two people having an argument in a virtually empty bar on a dead night! I gave her my cell number. I have called back and left message. No return call still. DONOTPAYCASH — YOURPAIDTABCANBESTOLENANDGETYOUBARRED if one of the staff wants you gone! I do not understand the reason she did this. The bartender wanted me to dance the last time I saw her when she was in there off work and now wanted us gone? So I can only assume she needed the cash and used it to make it look like we walked out on a tab of which I HAVENEVERDONEINMYLIFE! HOPETHEYREADTHISBECAUSE I AMTELLINGEVERYONE I KNOWABOUTHISSCAMOF A PLACE! Half bartenders had become rude anyway, like you should be happy they get to you when they get to you.

I’ve been here twice. Not sure why others reviews seem so negative. Drinks might be a tad high for a dive bar but I’ve always had pretty good service and drinks.

Almost all employees are Pieces of shit… Worthless bar. No concept of customer service. Some gray haired fat fucking piece of shit thinks he is in charge of a worthless bar. Never go here… Should be the next bar shut down in Virginia beach

The bar is a smoking bar. They have a tiny non smoking room with a few tables to meet legal requirements but it stays empty. You’ll leave smelling like an ashtray. Apart from that, it’s a bar full of older locals/regulars. If your goal is to sing karaōke, play darts and pool with local smokers(that should be the bar name, Local Smokers), this is the spot for you. I’m here only because it’s the only walkable bar from where I’m staying. I’d pick any non smoking bar over this. The guy next to me is on his fourth cigarette of the hour. At least the drinks are cheap and the food is decent. Time to go home and shower.

Two words: country and smoky. I am not familiar with the area and ended up at Krossroads because from the outside, it looked like they had a variety of food. I ended up ordering the egg burger and onion rings. It was what it was. My server was nice. The price was fine. What killed me was the smoke, though. I almost got up and left, but I didn’t know where else to go, and I didn’t want to be rude. They have karaōke, and I bet it’s a hoot. Whatever you think a tavern is, this is it.

The best General Tso’s chicken wings I’ve had in VB thus far, hands down… cooked per my request crispy, served with homemade ranch for dipping. phenomenal for my tastebuds! Margaritas are pretty good too n stay refilled!

~Divey, but not divetastic.~ Needs better whisky selection(J.D. is all they have, or «well» whisky). Needs to keep its website updated(4 mos out of date on events) Not bad, but not great. Rough and tumble drunk clientele. Bravo on its major improvements though. It worked hard to get better. Miss the old shot glasses collection it used to have adorning its bar.

I know that the group arrived here late and we picked up four more before arriving. I also know that three out of those four are not Karaōke fans, so how this made the cut I have no idea. Now if you like higher end establishments that cater to the martini crowd you would not look for a bar in a stripmall(which really must be a VA thing because in Jersey they occupy buildings.) It was Friday night and they have Karaōke on Fridays and Saturdays and most people knew each other, either that or its OK to yell you can’t sing at the cute girl trying to sing Bön Jovi. This place is not for everyone and people may not even come inside. But that should not stop you from enjoying yourself. Give it a try and make your own call. «The Good» — I had fun, now I am a fun with the people I am with rather than the destination but I enjoyed myself with the exception of the bad. — It was not super crowded and you could move around, there were even some tables open. — They did have some people avoid the Karaōke by playing pool, but the tables were booked and people were settled in, which is fine. — It had a friendly vibe to it, yeah I said vibe. You can tell that this place does not give a crap who you are or what you do, grab a drink and relax a little. — No one had any food but the drinks were healthy and the beers were cold. The designated driver commented that the water was also very good and never went empty. «The Meh» — Nothing really meh, but know that you are going to a dive bar. Its not a charming dive bar that has been opened by yuppies because its the trendy thing to do, this is a dive bar. Go in with no expectations and you will have fun. «The Bad» — Lots of Smoke, inside. Just not a fan of that. The pictures were taken at last call after the doors had been open to air the place out and there is still a haze. If given the option I would choose somewhere else for this reason alone.
