This Place was a surprise to find. The food is fresh the view is beautiful and the drinks are cold. The music made me smile the bartenders and servers know there town and this place is a four leaf clover to find during a busy tourist season. Do yourself a favor and make this a stop on a nice stroll down the boardwalk you will thank me for it and leave with a smile on your face knowing you made a good decision…

There’s a cute lighthouse to take pics next to… Tables are plastic. Food is okay. Nothing crazy good or bad. Worth the prices. Refills were filled quick and service was very good. I probably won’t go back unless I’m starving.

If I could rate this place lower, I would. My family stopped here for lunch. It looked like a cute place — very island-y — with a nice breeze/open air feel. Don’t be lured in by this. We arrived at 11:00 a.m. and the place was empty except for two tables of people who were already eating. Our waiter came over after approximately 10 minutes to take our drink order and then took another 10 minutes to come back with our drinks and to take our food order. Then, we waited and waited and waited and waited. More tables filled up with people who came in and were promptly served drinks and food. Our server did not come over to check on us. He did not offer us more drinks/refills. He did not bring us our appetizers. We continued to wait. We asked multiple times(politely, mind you!) the status of our order and we were told it was coming. We told both a waitress and our waiter that we had a plane to catch and we now needed our order to go. Finally, after an hour and 15 minutes had gone by, we stood up and flagged down the waitress(not our server) who then went and got one of our meals(a cheeseburger) for the child with us. The rest of us continued to wait. Finally, after close to an hour and a half, we started to leave. It was then that they brought our food out to us(cold) along with the check for which they had automatically added in the tip(even though we were only a party of 5). I have never — in my life — been treated this poorly by a server, and I have no idea what his deal was, but I would never go back here, nor would I ever recommend it.

On the boardwalk and convenient happy hour. Great Jamaican Punch! The spicy shrimp appetizer was very good. The fish and chips were average, very expected. Service was prompt and the waitress was quick with soda refills. Alcohol was a bit expensive, about 8 dollars. The food was between 10 and 15 dollars. The atmosphere was very beach dive bar.

One of the best kept secrets in Vabch! I’ve dined here at least 10 times and each n every time the food is great! Blackened Tuna sandwich is outstanding here. It’s a few feet away from the boardwalk so your as close as you can get to views of the water etc. It’s def a casual atmosphere with large picnic benches as some of the table. The service has always been super friendly. The food can take a long time if they are busy but be patient and enjoy the view!

there service was a bit slow because there are only a couple women working in the entire restaurant, but they are all very friendly. I ordered the wings(Caribbean?). The sauce was not what I expected because I thought I would have a dry rub. They were tasty, a mix between hot sauce and bbq. I also had the ceasar salad and ½ pound shrimp. These were both good. My bf got the tuna steak which was very lightly seasoned and was also ok. The food was decent, over priced in my opinion.

The food was good. It would have been nice to have some non-fried options. Our waitress seemed to rarely be around. The ambiance was good, but not excellent. Overall, a good place, but not spectacular. Also…no beer on tap.

As I write this, my family is laying on the couch in our vacation condo, holding their bellies, and hoping the pain will go away before we make the drive home. We stopped at Lighthouse for a late breakfast/brunch and chose it for it’s close proximity to our hotel. It was hot, dingy, and took us forever to first get a cup of coffee and then our omelets. Our servers were pleasant, but the food wasn’t. The omelets were heavy and greasy it was like the chef cooked them up in a puddle of grease and after they were finished he poured even more grease on top. The toast helped a bit with the grease and we ate it dry — the butter that was brought to our table for the toast was completely melted anyway. None of us finished our food this morning, and that’s a shame because we enjoy a good omelet — which this definitely was not.

Nice vibe, bad food! The open air restaurant with a view of the ocean is wasted with this place. All of our food tasted like it was frozen and thrown into a fryer. Bland and greasy, our last vacation dinner was wasted here. Go next door and spend a few more $ at Calypso.

My wife and I ate several time here during the week. The prices are fair and the food very good. They have live music which is hit and miss, but a nice option for a late night drink. Service was friendly and responsive for the most part. When it gets busy you can wait a little. Our mixed drinks were good and strong. Nice beer selection of local brews. Foods we tried were the burgers, breakfast, Cajun wings, beach fries, and a chicken wrap. The burgers were really good, the wrap a little bland, the breakfast good, and the wings acceptable. The beach fries needed cheddar instead of American cheese. Overall a nice place right on the beach. Nice views and a nice atmosphere.

Just another example of the institutionalized mediocrity of the«bar and grill» scene in Va Beqch. I just get the impression that they feel the tourist customers will always be there, so no one is trying very hard. Who watches Mets vs Cubs when there is a Women’s World Cup game on?

Very good food, and made quick! Plenty of adult drink options; great drinks! Server was very busy but friendly. Seating outdoors. They have fans. We went on a Tuesday for dinner inz June. Nice breeze rolled through durning dinner. Bit pricey, but hey, your on the beach. No need to get dressed up, flip flops and tee shirt just fine! Yes. They have a kids menu. Check it out!

Great place if you want bad food. I had the flounder platter which looked and taste like chicken tenders… Never will eat there again!

Every year my fiancé a I come have lunch here no matter where we’re staying. Yesterday it was 10 blocks away from our hotel and you better believe we hiked to get lunch here. We always get the tuna steak Greek salad. It’s always fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked and proportioned tuna steaks and a delicious, subtly tangy vinaigrette. Sounds so simple but we literally love this salad THAT much. If you’re not into that the steak bites, bang bang shrimp, ahi tuna salad are all great choices. But really, it’s all delicious. It’s a small out door seating area, overlooking the beach, good service, good drinks… But it’s the food that makes it 4 stars.

I should have taken it as a warning when it was slow on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend during dinner rush. Service was very slow but friendly. I thought the food was awful, didn’t fit the menu description, or menu prices. This was the worst $ 50 we’ve spent in a while. I ordered the Greek wrap with a side if broccoli bites. There was an up charge for four pieces. I are only one because they were so terrible. They were described to me as battered broccoli which was inaccurately. It’s actually pre-made frozen battered cheese with a slight amount of broccoli. The Greek wrap was mostly lettuce and cheese. Kids meals were $ 6.50 for two chicken strips and some generic potato chips from a bag. I was exceptionally surprised at the chips and salsa. It is described at tomato and corn salsa. There was not a trace of corn in the salsa and it was very apparent that the salsa came from a jar. The tortilla chips were sprinkled with Old Bay seasoning which was not described on the menu and tasted pretty weird with salsa. The French fries that came with my husbands tuna steak sandwich were undercooked. The tuna steak was just alright. It was bland because the tuna was not seasoned. We did like the hamburger kids meal but it was really confusing that both the kids burger and kids chicken tenders were served in a bowl with chips. The burger was falling apart because it couldn’t sit flat like if it were on a plate. So when our son would put it down, it would lean on the sides of the bowl and kept falling apart. Just beware if this place, you may not get when you think you are ordering because the menu does not accurately describe the items. The only side that is included without an up charge is the potato chips. We thought about ordering the strawberry shortcake for dessert but our server let us know it is just so-so. I appreciated the honesty and was not surprised based off the fact that I disliked my appetizer and entrée. The cook did come out and ask how we liked everything. I really hate complaining so I just shrugged my shoulders. He said he wanted to come out to see if he was doing his job right. If you don’t mind that nothing is fresh or made in the kitchen then this place would suit your taste. I don’t want to eat out at a place where everything come out of a jar, bagged package, and freezer.

I absolutely love this place! My second time here. Mary is fantastic! She is so sweet and always have great recommendation. I ordered the bangin shrimp wrap. It was delicious and filling for an affordable. Happy hour specials are from Monday through Friday from 3pm — 7pm, check out the chalkboard for selections. Highly recommend the bar and outside dining. Beautiful views of the beach and people sight seeing, haha wink wink. Check it out!
