For exceptional quality knife sharpening look no further! I recently found that over the years like most of us that my kitchen knives were becoming ever so dull. The set did come with a sharpening steel rod thing but who knows how to use those things now a days. I did look ant there was only 3 businesses in the Virginia Beach area that offered a knife sharpening service. One location was the Kitchen Barn in Hilltop but after reading several Google reviews and some on Unilocal customers complained that the knifes were either inked bad after sharpening or the job was done poorly. It took me a little digging before I found Max’s service. He has a little table he sets up at a few local area markets throughout the week and has and extensive YouTube Channel talking about the different knives, swords, hatchets, etc. that people bring to him for sharpening. I personally reached out to Max through his business’s Facebook page and inquired about having my knives sharpened. He said he’d be happy to sharpen my knives for me and said he frequently sharpens the kivas at both Food Lion and Whole Foods at times. I ended up meeting Max in the Trader Joe’s parking lot and handed off my knives and picked them up from different nearby location in Hilltop. Yes I know it sounds a little shady like a Craigslist transaction but it works as you both could have crazy different schedules through out the day making set hours difficult to meet. At the time I had my knives sharpened Max was offering a discount on 12 knives or more at $ 7.00 each. **Overall, I was SUPER impressed with the quality of service and workmanship Max performed. I in-turn created a Unilocal listing for Max and his service to help get his service out there for anyone in the local community who’s looking for quality knife sharpening. Cheers!
