Haven’t eaten at Outback in over 2 years. Been going to another establishment(has a state in the name) with nearly the same menu. Our wait was really short. Love the loaf of warm bread. Wait staff was very courteous and made sure our needs were met. Had 6oz sirloin. Was a little tough, but tasty. Will come back.

Meal was as expected but service was totally lacking. Our glass of wine and bottled beer didn’t arrive until I asked about them… AFTER our appetizer was served. Seeing our waiter chit chatting so I couldn’t get his attention sooner, while watching our drinks sit at the bar was really unacceptable. The bar tenders didn’t help either by noticing drinks they prepared were just sitting. My husbands steak was perfect, bone in rib eye perfection. Mine was grissely. I would have mentioned something to our server but we didn’t see him again until we were ready for the check. Too bad as we wanted to order another round of drinks during dinner and perhaps dessert. But no opportunity was present. I was a waitress for 6 years at a Friday’s… I am realistic to my expectations of a restaurant like Outback. I also know busy shifts and good customer service… Neither was present and really put us off our meal. $ 90 check for two people… I am sure they’d like our return business… Pretty unlikely.

I was in the area and stopped here for lunch. The cheese fries are a must when visiting Outback, so I ordered the small portion so that I wouldn’t be full for the main course. I ordered the pasta with shrimp and it didn’t disappoint. It was tasty and presentable, though the colors were kinda boring. It didn’t strike me as an exciting meal, but it was good, so that’s what matters. The cute hostess met me with a smile when I walked in, so I felt welcome. My server was very courteous and made sure I had everything I needed. The restaurant was free WiFi, so I was able to use my iPad to check email. It was a satisfying visit.

I went the night before Mother’s day and it was packed but this is one of my regular places to eat so we got a pager and went to watch TV at the bar. I told the bar tender I loved whatever margarita came in the old Mason Jars and she gave me a margarita and said she’d forgotten to put it in the Mason Jar but she thought it was the same proportions. It definitely was not! I was thinking since I asked her for the Margarita in the mason jar that she’d remember to put it in a mason jar but I told it was fine… thinking to myself that it was not. We were called to our table and we passed the desk and began talking where I casually mentioned it while they were discussing my friend’s blackberry martini. Who knew that the lady we were talking to was the manager… she’s been at this location for 3 weeks and she’s so very kind. Chrystal later bought me a blackberry sangria in the mason jar because she wanted me to taste it… she indicted that she paid for it herself! I gave her a big Marine Corps hug since I am a former Marine! :-) Dinner arrived late but it was packed and I’d already told the waitress not to worry since she had a huge table near us and we were a party of 2. Our appetizers took a really long time but as soon as they came our dinner arrived as well so we had a nice feast on the table and the opportunity for a doggy bag so that I could eat some later. I asked Sara, the hostess if she would take a picture for us and she was so kind… she’d been the little lady to seat us with a smile earlier. Our waitress was Brittany and she was great as well. I felt for her. She was so frazzled that instead of dropping us off the check she left us her tip from the party and thanked us for being so honest as to call her over to retrieve it instead of taking it. It never crossed our minds to steal it but I understood… she said it was for her and another worker to split. My lobster tails arrived and they were so tough that I couldn’t cut through them easily. I was surprised because I’d ordered them so many times before. I tried the other lobster tail so that I wouldn’t have bother our busy waitress but it was just as tough and dry. She offered to switch them out for us and the new lobster tails were just as great as they usually are. I enjoyed the seared Ahi tuna appetizer and tasted my friend’s coconut shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were plump and moist however had no flavor until you dip them into the sauce they come with. I didn’t taste my friend’s Talapia with crab but heard no complaints. My friend had the blackberry martini and it was tasty. The manager happened to be delivering the substitute lobster tails and said that she could see that the ones I had before had been sitting too long. Over all this is one of my favorite places and I thought of ordering the lamb ribs because I’ve loved them for so long and cannot figure out what else they put in the Cabernet sauce besides the wine… they call it the Outback rack and it’s great! This was the first time in over a decade that I can say that it was extremely loud in there… even the young hostess couldn’t hear me.

We went in for dinner last night(3÷31÷16) around 630pm. Even though they appeared to be busy, there was no wait for a table. Our server Jessica was very nice and polite. I had the victoria filet med-rare and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My husband also loved his ribeye. Overall, good service, good food and a nice clean restaurant.

We came here for a family Easter dinner around 4pm Sunday and there was 8 of us. Not a overly big party but a good size. We got seated immediately and walking to the table i almost slipped because how greasy the floor was. YUCK! Our server was prompt at getting our drink and app order. We started with the famous bloomin onion and the seared ahi tuna. The tuna was so super yummy and was melt in your mouth. A bunch of us got salads and this is where the kitchen/server got all screwy. My MIL and myself got our salads first. about 10 minutes later the rest of the table did. Then again my MIL and myself got our entrees and then literally 30 minutes later the rest of the food comes out. unacceptable! Its like they completely forgot the rest of our groups order. When the food came out, there were some things that were incorrect but after waiting so long no one sent anything back and just dealt with it. Thank you for reminding me why i don’t dine here.

The other night, I went to the Kempsriver Crossing Outback with my wife and parents for dinner because we had some gift cards to burn through. It has been over 5 years since I have eaten at an Outback, so I was very interested in seeing how much they may have changed in that time. After dropping my family off in front, I parked the car and started walking towards the Outback. On my way in, I literally had to walk through a cloud of smoke because there were 4 rednecks with neck tats standing at the front door chiefing the hell out of some cigarettes(thanks assholes). I walked in and saw my family waiting in the lobby, so I quickly joined them. After sitting with them for a minute, I looked across the room/waiting area at another person seated directly across from me and I noticed that she had her hand down the front of her pants rubbing her crotch area aggressively in a circular motion… this caught me off guard until I realized that she was part of a «special» group out for dinner that evening. Not going into too much detail out of respect for their privacy, but we were seated right next to them in the dining area and they couldn’t have been anymore well behaved and sweet all night. Overall, our service was fantastic. We had a nice waitress that was friendly and attentive. The apps and entrees took a while to come out from the kitchen, but our drinks were never empty for long because the waitress was on top of her game. We started with the Blackened Tuna appetizer and it was really good. I only ordered that app because my best friend who worked at an Outback in Raleigh for many years always talks about it being his favorite item on their menu. The dipping sauce that comes with the tuna is a sesame ginger sauce that reminds me of the amazing one found at Flip Flops in VB. When the entrees came out, everyone at the table was in shock when they saw the portion size of my Alice Spring Chicken. They all ordered some special steak dish that was nicely portioned, but my Alice Spring Chicken must have been the smallest piece of chicken that any of them had ever seen… including myself. Not only was the chicken portion enough for about two bites, but the mashed potato portion was slightly bigger than a tablespoon. My first thought was to take a quick picture of the disappointing portion size with the intention of uploading it to Unilocal, but before I could take a picture, my family was placing their own food on my plate in an effort to make sure that I had enough to eat. I was bummed because they screwed up my opportunity to take a picture, but grateful that they were looking out for me. On a side note, the plate that my meal was served on was not even a full size dinner plate, it was more like a tapas dish. Pretty disappointing that someone in the back actually deemed it acceptable before sending it out. We are talking about a $ 15.99 entrée here… I’m not the kind of guy to send things back to the kitchen, so instead, I just ordered a side of steamed veggies and they were actually really good. In closing, the atmosphere is the same that it was years ago, the food was disappointing, and the service was very good. I suppose my most recent experience was a total mixed bag, but I can tell you that I will probably wait another 5 years before I go back to the Fordham location again.

Worst dining experience at an Outback ever, for me. Evidently, our server was already waiting on an extremely large party in the party room. There was only one other couple seated in our servers section in the main restaurant when we were seated at around 4:00. The dinner rush really wouldn’t start for another hour. Our server seated us herself and took our drink order, which were waters all around. She came back within minutes with our water, saw that we were still deciding what to order and said she would be back. After we ordered, our server went over to the other table and spoke to them for no less than 10 minutes; meanwhile our dinner order is in her hand not yet submitted. Ok, this is when it starts to get good… My mother and I both ordered the Blue Cheese Pecan Chopped Salad. The picture on their menu and description of this salad were: Chopped style mixed greens with shredded carrots, red cabbage, green onions, cinnamon pecans and Aussie Crunch all tossed with Blue Cheese vinaigrette and topped with Blue Cheese crumbles. 25 minutes after she walked away from that other table to put our order in, another person brought us our salads. The bowl that was set down in front of me made me want to vomit right there… it looked like a congealed, wilted mess. Actually, it looked like old salad from other diners plates scrapped off into this bowl with extra slimy dressing added for effect. I didnt see any carrots, or red cabbage, and mixed greens to me is definitely NOT just regular lettuce and romaine lettuce. I expected some green leafy salad greens and not that mess. I wanted to exchange this for a different salad, but our server never made it back to our table for another 20 minutes. When she finally made an appearance, I told her that I wanted to exchange this gloop for a Caesar salad, but only if our main food was not coming out at the same time, and if our food was ready, then to forget about the salad. Of course she said she would check, and came out with another salad and on her heals was another server with our dinners. She never even inquired. My husband ordered a blooming onion and the Aussie fries(yeah, I know… all that fried food for dinner?) and both plates were cold. The blooming onion was actually cold to the touch, and the fries were no longer crispy or appetizing. What I figured was that our server didn’t inform the back(cooks) that the onion and fries which are usually an appetizer, was an actual dinner and needed to be done the same time as the steaks. These two plates were probably done the same time as the salads and sat in the window for at least 30 — 35 minutes before everything was brought out at the same time. Our server came back 10 minutes later to see how things were and of course, he asked for a manager who promptly came to our table. My husband explained the situation about the food being cold and the manager took it away to have new made. After that, our server became more attentive… her large party must of left. The steak that I ordered was ok, I have had better from Outback, and my mom order the 5 oz sirloin with the coconut shrimp and I had one of her shrimp. The shrimp have so much coconut-breading surrounding it that you don’t even taste the shrimp inside. I guess people like that but I think the breading was too thick and kinda gross in places where it was so thick that it did not cook as well as the parts. Overall, the best thing about last night’s dinner was the dessert and coffee afterward. The Salted Caramel Cookie Skillet is absolutely fabulous and I urge anyone with a sweet tooth to try it — but bring a friend to help you eat it because the portion is large and I think designed for two to enjoy.

When I was a kid this place was the go-to restaurant for when my family wanted steaks. My last couple visits here haven’t been so great. My medium steak was dry today. Drenched it with a1 to eat it. I could have complained to the kind waitress but I didn’t want to kill my family’s vibe because they loved their burgers. Next time I’ll try something diff off the menu. This just isn’t the place for me to get steaks at. Staff and service is great! Probably a main reason why I would consider coming back.

To begin with I usually LOVE Outback. I have a friend that tries to convince me that Texas Roadhouse is better. Nonetheless, Friday evening I insisted on Outback. We got there a little after 8pm. I was delighted there was no wait. In fact, there were a few open booths and tables. We are immediately escorted by a waitress to sit down. I literally«stuck» to the seat. I look down and the seat and floors of the restaurant are filthy. I told our waitress her response was«ok». Nothing else. She did leave and come back to clean the seat, which consisted of her just wiping everything on the floor then leaving. I went to the hostess stand and asked to be reseated. We were moved but for the rest of the night our waitress was rude. The«floor» manager did appear and make a lame and somewhat fake attempt at an apology. It was more of an excuse. «We just finished our rush and haven’t had a chance to clean.»(However there appear to be a few employees about with nothing to do…) Our meal was fine. Just rude service from the waitress the rest of the evening. When you spend more than«fast food» prices I expect better service and definitely better cleanliness. It made me wonder what errors the health department would find.

Typing out this review as I finish eating the rest of this fattening bloomin’ onion from yesterday.(A full day’s worth of calories but SO delicious). Anyways my family came here yesterday because it was papa’s day and this is where he wanted to eat. I haven’t been to the outback since I was in the 8th grade, so I had no idea what I even wanted to eat.(Except for the bloomin’ onion haha.) I had gotten the filet mignon with broccoli and mac & cheese. And a side of loaded baked potato soup. The portions were kinda small, but in the bright side it helped preventing me from overeating haha. Overall tye food was good, not great; however, I did really enjoyed the mac & cheese(but it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had). My slice of cheesecake with raspberry drizzle wasn’t too bad either but against other restaurants it just didn’t measure up. The service was on point though. Our waiter was excellent! Despite it being busy he really deserved his tip for going above and beyond. I wish I could remember his name(I’ll have to dig back for my receipt). Most importantly though, is that my dad really enjoyed his meal. He went in hungry, and came out stuffed with a smile on his face. The place does have a good family atmosphere, so I’m sure we will be back for one of our infamous Sunday dinners.

To start the girls at the front to greet you are as rude as can be. They barely greet you since you interrupted they personal conversations. I asked to be seated at a ½ table and was told no because they did not have any wait staff on that table? Really 10 feet away? So we were seated at the first table next to the front door. Not happy I sat in my assigned seat and had an overpriced pasta dish. This was not my choice if restaurants, I was meeting a friend. I have been to this place many times & always get a meal that is just a step above McDonalds except I think the staff at McDonalds is friendlier. The waiter was professional, I just think their food is overpriced for the rubber meat they try and pass iff as steak. If you have other choices pick the other one you will be glad you did.

Well, my first review. I’ve been working behind-the-scenes with an elite(generally doing the driving and at least half of the paying) for a couple of years so I thought I’d come out of the shadows. I’m no stranger to eating in steakhouses after 30 years on the road in automotive, My lust for red meat is also well-known. I wasn’t too happy with my visit. I had the Ribeye melt for lunch. Mostly bread. The beef component was a single layer about 15 mm thick and pretty tough. The missus had fish tacos; the fish, while plentiful was over-cooked. Her signature salad pretty much came out of a bag, with some very stale croutons and a few pieces of lettuce that had some brown markings. I almost forgot; we had the bloomin onion. Worked on a few of these in my day but this one was a little on the greasy side. Service was okay; it seemed to take awhile for our meals. We weren’t asked if we wanted water to chase our beers(which were ice-cold) but one showed up anyway at the end of our meal, right along with the extra small plate my wife asked for with the onion at the beginning. Better late than never I guess.

I have to make a point to come here when it’s slower, and you can actually find a place to park. I also always sit at the bar, which usually has available seating. That being said, my food is always good and comes out in a reasonable amount of time. I just can’t come here often since it’s such a madhouse and it makes eating stressful.

Consistent as a chain could be, We stopped in for lunch on a Monday. Calamari for an appetizer was cooked just right the seasoning was very tasty, my wife, said it was a little salty to her but we enjoyed it anyhow. I had the steak and shrimp, steak was cooked perfectly, juicy and full of flavor. Decent value for the size you get. What I have liked a bigger steak but after all it was lunchtime. My wife the pork chops was a good size done just right and full of flavor. Service was a little slow considering there was hardly anybody in the place. All in all not a bad visit.

As of this summer they are now open for lunch beginning at 11 a.m. They have a lunch menu; mostly the same items but there is a lunch special section added. $ 6.99 endless soup & salad combo if you like French Onion or Clam Chowder soups. There are 5 options under the $ 7.99 section and you can get those for takeout if you want. I like that they come with a cup of soup, house salad or a side(a side alone is usually $ 2.99) which makes the deal seem worthwhile if you’re on a budget. I got the sweet potato side, because I LOVE sweet potatoes and can’t get enough of the in every form imaginable. But $ 3 for a potato is a bit steep, which is why I was glad to get it as part of the lunch special. I found the potato very disappointing. Wrapped fully in foil it was more steamed than baked WHICHCHANGESTHETASTE. The skin was wet and soggy not crispy! You don’t steam your loaded baked potatoes do you? I hope not. Longhorn Steakhouse sweet potatoes are well worth the cost. The coconut shrimp were decent in size and tasted satisfactory, but unfortunately were not crispy which is how I am accustomed to having them. I was concerned about six shrimp not filling me up but I was pleased to get lunch for $ 8 +tax. Actually as I take a few more mouthfuls I must confirm that this particular sweet potato is horrible, I do hope that your experience with this side is much much better. I’m saddened. I can’t even explain my disappointment! Service for takeout on the other hand was up-to-par. I was helped by a very nice young lady(perhaps a teen). She directed me over to the Take-out nook. It was my first time having lunch so I took a seat in the adjacent large, comfortable seating area complete with menus, coloring books and crayons to keep waiters occupied. She explained that my TABLEMATES card was no longer usable as they had ended that program. A manager came over and exchanges my old card(and account info/points) over to the new DINEREWARDS program. I’m not sure how you rack up points exactly… I think you need to spend more than $ 25 a visit. But the fact that this program includes 5 different chains of restaurants seems promising. Less cards to carry around, more earning opportunities, and you can use it when you travel to areas where the two restaurants I haven’t heard of are located. And if you don’t have your card they can look up your account by your phone number. Yippie! I spent quite a bit on my first trip to Bonefish Grill a few weeks ago and they told me NOTHING of this program. Surely I would have earned a reward that could have been used today :-(

As Unilocal CM, I’ve done a fairly good job avoiding chains but when you have a gift card you simply can’t turn down the party. No way was I going to order the bloomin’ onion… 2000 calories!!! I’ll have to walk to SF and back just to burn that off. But what I was willing to go fat kid status on was the steak. Any of them for that matter but tonight I ordered the slow roasted prime rib with a wood fire grill finish… 16 oz. Damn, that was delicious! I left nothing on the plate. I asked for rare and it was a bit closer to medium rare but the steak was still good. I was pleased with the good quality, our service and wouldn’t mind going back.

Corporate Suckage! Came for our office Christmas Dinner, ordered the bone in rib eye which is $ 25 bucks… they over cooked the hell out of it when I asked for medium rare, it was a perfect cut too so I was sad to send it back… the next one I got was barely cooked and so full of fat and gristle and also 15 minutes after all my co-workers had already eaten that I didn’t even want to eat it. It was served with a baked sweet potato that was so microwaved it was like they took the inside out, mashed it and filled the potato skin back up with the mixture. Ever time I come to one of these Corporate owned cookie cutter resturants its always not by my choice and further solidifies my reason to Support Small Business owners and the mom and pop restaurants that know what good food is
