DONOTRECOMMEND. This hotel is now the super 8, it’s a dirty hotel and the rooms smell musty, the beds feel like you’re sleeping on a box spring, very outdated. If the other hotels weren’t booked we would have stayed elsewhere, book early and pay a little extra to stay at a clean fresh hotel.

A word of warning. This hotel has been sold and is now just a Super 8. Even a call to the place tells you the pictures you see online aren’t exactly what you are getting so this is the warning

Where do I start this hotel is the worst hotel ever! Avoid by all cost! Not worth a penny. This hotel is runner down! Room is horrible dirty. Smell of mildew. Vents filled with dust. Hard to breath all night as I slept. I felt very uncomfortable smoke detector going off all night needed a battery. Woke up with bite marks. Of course I got 15 marks from bed bugs. I checked out the next day. YOUGETWHAT U PAIDFOR. TRUSTMEWHEN I SAYPICTURESAREMISLEADING.

We spent a weekend at the Palm grove hotel last weekend and had a great experience. The prices were fair the hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. I will definitely be returning next year. Thank you for a great stay.

Nasty Nasty Nasty! Don’t waste your time here… Spend a little extra money and get a decent room! The only thing good about this place was the location! Checked in and found out I had been overcharged $ 195.00 which they had taken out of my bank account… went round and round with the ONLY guy working the desk about the charges and finally was refunded the 195.00! No staff there had one guy working there on Neptune festival busy busy weekend… the cleaning people had left without cleaning the rooms… when we finally got to our room and turned back the comforter to check the sheets they had not even been cleaned just made up… pubic hair and stains all over the sheets! The chairs in the room are nasty. Holes and stains all over them I could go on and on! But will stop there and just warn you not to stay here! If you so take your own sheets, blankets, pillows and towels and bring lots of cleaning supplies!!! By the time I went out and spent unnecessary money on a blanket and cleaning supplies I could have stayed in a nice hotel! So please DONOT stay here!

This was by far the WORST stay I have ever had in a hotel. Its such a shame because the location of it is wonderful. We arrived on 9÷21÷13 and the room we originally were given was #600 so we took all of our things up there only to not be able to get into the room so i went back to the front desk and told him and he said the lock must be broken so he then put us in room #103…It was DISGUSTING to say the least. The entire hotel smells horrible. There is not carpet and I had to throw away my socks as they were BLACK from the floor in the room. The«ocean view» was comical. There were marks all over the door to the patio that was disgusting as well. We were not even willing to shower while there. There were cobwebs all over the walls, popcorn on the floor, chair at the so called desk in the room was missing 2 wheels and full of dust. I honestly am not sure how the hell this place stays in business. Not sure why it hasn’t been shut down until they make some major changes.

Horrible hotel. The only good thing about it was the location. The service was horrible and so were the rooms. I had to request a room change and it still wasnt good. There was a moldy smell all through the hotel. DONOTSTAYHERE!

Check in was a bit crazy. They over booked the hotel and customers were very unhappy. Customers were getting kicked out for hostile temperaments due to the overbooking. I booked a room for two people and it was supposed to have 2 queen beds. We ended up with a 1 king size bed. A third friend wanted to stay so we though we would have plenty of room. Well, the hotel overbooked and couldn’t accommodate the 2 queens so we had to request a cot several times. We finally got one before going to bed. The room was decent for the price. The hotel room description also said there was a microwave and fridge. The room had neither. Luckily, we didn’t need them. The hallways smell bad. Parking is supposed to be free and we circled around multiple times looking for a spot but couldn’t find one. Finally, we called the hotel and they reimbursed us for parking in another lot we had to pay for. Overall, it was a one night stay and it was a place to crash. It wasn’t the worst, but certainly could have been better. One night was $ 170.

This was likely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I was fooled by the pictures online and now that I’ve checked out, I giggle at just how bad it was: Lets start from the beginning. They let us check in a few hours early, but the six car lot for unloading was full and I had to carry our bags a quarter of a mile from the hotel’s parking lot. The room was disgusting. The bathroom had poop stains on the wall and there was dust and hair everywhere. Our TV didn’t work and it took two hours to get it replaced. I was able to see that the cleaning people do not attempt to clean behind the TV. Carpeting in the room is nonexistent and I assume that’s to make cleaning easier next to the beach. The view of the beach was pretty good and I enjoyed the ocean view balcony. The free wifi didn’t work in our room. I talked to the front desk and they simply argued with me saying that it did work. I talked to the repair guy who told me that the signal is very weak and everyone keeps complaining about it. I talked to additional front desk people who continued to argue. Finally, around midnight, on the second night, the front desk guy came up to check for himself. He was startled to find that the internet, in fact, did not work, but still didn’t do anything. In fact, his response to my query was, «what do you want me to do? Its late.» I feel bad complaining only because my room was one of the few who’s air conditioning worked during our stay. This poor old man and his wife asked me how our temperature was because his room was in the 90s the previous night. This is not a hotel, its a staging area for beach goers. I can’t say, «stay here if you want to save money» because you won’t save any money. Just don’t stay here. I suppose it was affordable compared to the other hotels, but I would explore other options or lower your expectations to the negatives before staying in this dump. Also, I spoke to the manager before checking out. She asked what she could do to make it better. When I told her all the stuff that was wrong, she explained that it was 4th of July weekend and just didn’t care because she was making mad money this weekend.
