Cool place! Dogs welcome! Great Beer! Been waiting to try this place has always been packed, today it was beautiful outside and they just had a small crowd good for us!!! The inside is nicely done, the beer is fresh and tasty and the staff is friendly do you need more in a brewery? Prices fair plenty of parking and food close by and you can bring it in again need more in a brewery? I can see many future trips!

Not knowing about this brewery or their beers, I came here with no expectations whatsoever. The bar was pretty empty but it was a Tuesday night. One of the owners, Kevin, was back behind the bar slinging beers. I asked him to tell me the story of the brewery and he was more than happy to oblige. We had a nice chat and then he took me for a quick impromptu brewery tour. Now, this isn’t a large brewery so the tour only took a few minutes, but I was happy he offered and got to learn a little bit more on how they work, their philosophy behind beer and where they want to go next. Every beer I had was a solid beer and ones I can seem myself drinking again, especially since they also server Crowlers. Don’t know what a crowler is? Ask them… they will be happy to show you. Good luck to all your endeavors and I hope to come across your beers again soon! CHEERS!

Nice staff, however place smelled like a frat house and honestly, the beer wasn’t too good. Missed opportunity on this road.

Awesome little brewery off of Shore Drive! My biggest complaint is that they weren’t there when I lived within walking distance ;-) The place has been lively both times that I’ve been in. They’re dog friendly & have a large assortment of games to play while you enjoy their brew. We met the owners and they are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. I believe I was told that they switch up the beer list every few weeks. I tried the flight & they were all pretty decent. We’ll definitely be back in!

Boyfriend and I are out to hit up all the breweries in the 757 so this was next on the list. The place is at the end of a little shopping strip off of Shore Drive. We went on in to find some cute dogs also inside. Since it was a Sunday, there was a sort of potluck of cockpot meals going on. According to one of the guys that works there, they do these potlucks every Sunday and you pay an amount to try all the foods offered. Proceeds go to whatever charity for the week. This week was for a pet charity. The place did a nice touch by having a few dog treats scattered about on each table. We were already planning to have lunch elsewhere so we just grabbed some drinks at the bar. There’s a bunch of chalkboards that showed what they had to offer and I got curious to what a crowler was. I thought it must have been a typo or something, but turns out its a canned growler. Never seen that before. Boyfriend and I each got a beer for the night that we enjoyed. The place is pretty chill. There’s a few small TV’s around the place. I think it would be an ideal football/sports watching spot if there were bigger TVs. We can’t wait to come back and chill with our doggy!

What sets Pleasure House Brewing apart from the other local breweries is their menu. They have only been around about a year and always have a great variety of new beers to try. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is casual and fun. The only thing that would make this place better is some kind of outdoor seating, but it might be a little tough in their current location. I do like being able to order food from anywhere close by and have it delivered while I’m sitting at the bar. Another great feature is their growler fill-up special: for the first and last hour they are open growler fill-ups are half price!

Great open and friendly atmosphere. Fun games to do with family and friends. The staff is super friendly. So why the low rating? The beer is awful. For a brewery you think that’d be their thing. To add insult to injury they have NOFOOD, but they have a lot of merchandise to sell you. I tried all the beers available(6). I am all for experimental beers but come on — brown ale w/date syrup, Saison with mint/blueberry/cucumber, GROSS! Hefeweizen with Kiwi just tasted horrible. The only reason they have 2 stars is because they have beer. Who am I to say this? I am an American craft beer lover who has lived in Germany, Belgium, and now lives in Tokyo. I have never left 5 of 6 beers on a flight unfinished. Sorry to burst your bubble guys.

Best«hole in the wall» brewery I have tried. Kevin was great and was able to explain all the beers they had. Not bad for an Ohio State alum. I absolutely loved the roggen and saison beer. I had a great time and will be back the next time I am in town.

We tried the $ 8 flights(5 samples) at this kid-friendly and clean establishment. They had various games available for free to play while you are here. They had two big TV screens. Our favorite beers out of the flights were the seasonal Light tower and the Roggenbier taugin’ roggen’. The bartender showed me kindly the brewery and explained briefly their process. It was free and easy to park.

Went here after a hike at First Landing State Park. Yes, brews are great after a hike. First time there so my friends ordered the flight which they liked most of them. I tried the witbier w/poblanos, definitely odd spicy flavor as expected but still agreeable to my taste. But the No Wave was definitely agreed upon among us was one of the better ones. It was a good atmosphere, lots of people sitting around chatting w/their companies. The owner went around servicing people. We loved that they have games, the life size Connect 4, foosball, darts, and other various games. They don’t serve food though but allow to bring outside food in, which my friends were starving after a hike and walked couple stores down to get brats/hotdogs. Definitely will be back if in the area.

I’ve been a few times now, and I vote that I like it! The staff is great, the atmosphere is good for hanging out in, and(most importantly) on every visit I’ve found a beer I’ve enjoyed drinking. I love/hate that there’s a constant rotation of beers on tap. On one hand, it means there’s always something new to try; on the other hand there isn’t a constant standard I know I’m going to love every time I come in. That being said, the giant connect four on the wall, the allure of a good game of foosball, and the staff’s willingness to let you explore the ever changing beer menu will definitely bring me back here!

This place is fun but I was expecting a bit more out of it. The atmopshere is missing a little something yet I’m not sure what it is. I was thinking with a name like that, it would have some couches or places to really relax. Would«Pleasure» be what I’m actually looking for? I understand that the place is fairly new but they need some curb appeal and more welcoming décor inside. The reason for my visit: I was looking for tasty brews! I didn’t really find something that hit me so hard that I was impressed but something that did hit me and throw me for a loop was the«Smoke» brew of theirs. To me, it tasted like someone dumped Liquid Smoke into my beer. It was a tad on the overpowering side for my liking. I felt as if I should have a slab of meat sitting next to me so I could pair it with something but alas, I was meatless. I found this brew in my flight, which was a nice deal but then again, the man behind the bar didn’t even offer me any of the specials that were on tap. Which, I asked to try them and he let me sample at no charge. While enjoying their brews, you can release your inner child on their massive wall sized Connect4 board! It’s a bit noisy and can be a bit annoying but it’s a great challenge! Maybe they could make a trough with sawdust in it to dampen the noise? They do have a large amount of boardgames to choose from and a couple of dart boards. So have some fun with it and challenge your friends to a good time!

I’m happy with the selection and availability of brews since I was in the mood for malty– I had a delightful brown beer. Kevin the beer tender was friendly and helpful. Tim, the proud owner, was around working the crowd. I appreciate the fact the tasting room was clean, high ceilings, open floor plan with darts and pool, and the music was not too overpowering. Also bonus is that Lynnhaven Pub is around the corner.

What a good choice of brew house!!! Delicious beer! My favorite was the«local tourist» which is a nice IpA 7% abv the Pope holiday ale was DANGEROUS! so smooth and delicious and 9% ABV! Jesus! The only down side is there is no snacks here. I like to munch while I drink beer like some popcorn or peanuts or pistachios something to munch while drinking. The owner Tim(who’s super cool) said he’s gunna roast peanuts and give them away. I think it’s a bad idea but hey whatever gives us some munchies! Give us some kibbles & bits! Haha They have to go menus of close by places. We ordered a philly cheese steak from shore break. Yum! So order some food get u a beer. The flights are just enough! Not too much beer and a good price… I would give 5 stars if they had snacks. Get the local tourist. Yummy! And they have board games and a LIFESIZECONNECT4!!! It’s so much fun grab a beer and play a game!!!

An «OK» Starter Brewery! I recently learned of this new brewery opening, through several conversations both with Tim and others down the street at the Lynnhaven Pub. After roughly 2 weeks of the business opening i decided it was time to venture out and see it for myself what all this new brewery has to offer. I arrived shortly before 10pm and was in-daunted by the shear amount of people in the place. There was what seemed like a very young age group mostly Hipsters and the noise level was through the roof and just ear deafening. I felt that I had to scream just to be able to have a conversation and to put a drink order in. I personally think they should install some ACTUAL walls in this place to help absorb some of the noise instead of the current plain cinder-block walls that makes the sound bounce all over the place. After looking over their beer wall menu and not seeing anything really worth drinking I decided on the $ 7 beer flight. All of their current beer’s were under 6.7%ABV. which was ok with me but NONE of the brews came close to even matching the beer season that were in. Perhaps I was expecting a little more, stouts, porters and strong ales to be on the menu on correlation to the«darker» beer season were moving into. I do however like the fact they offer a «half-glass» option. I recently seen this down in South Florida where instead of ordering a full pint you could get half a beer for half the price, I though that was really interesting and sort of unique as you don’t see many beer places doing that currently. After checking the time and noticing they close at 11pm, it was twenty minutes too and the place was still packed, good luck waiting to cash out. Which leads me to my next issue. I think they need to seriously look into adding a second iPad/cash-register thingy as they currently have only one and link them both together. Funny it seemed like all the bartenders were consistently congregating around this iPad trying to input drink orders into it and cash people out like children playing a video game or all gathering around trying to catch a glimpse of that cool«YouTube» video. ** Overall, there was nothing too extravagant about this place, nothing that really POPPED in my mind as far as décor, seating layout, or the interior as a whole. basically it just felt like an empty building space with a cooler with tap handles in the middle of the floor. I understand its a new place starting up and will be back again to see if they considered adding more stuff to the place. ~Drink On!~

I want to give this place a chance so I want to be fair in my review . The setup inside is nice, there are games, and foosball available to pass the time. Art hangs from the walls that is available for purchase. There is music playing in the background that isn’t too loud. Now as far as the beer I tried the porter. The porter was not properly carbonated, it had a yeasty almost bitter taste and very strong pumpkin flavor. Since it was a pumpkin porter I expected that flavor, but not the strange taste . The British bitter had an issue with some sediment and was taken off tap. It’s a shame since I was looking forward to tying it. Hats off to the friendly staff for not serving it. I think they need to work on their quality of brewing a little more before they decide to sell to the public. Again I want this place to succeed, but the quality has to be there . I will certainly come back and try the next batch of brews.
