Rodeway Inn by the Beach

This hotel is OK if you are only planning to sleep and do other activities elsewhere. The staff is very nice and polite. Pool is nice. Parking garage was an adventure, there is parking but spots are tight and can be nerve racking going off the second floor. The windows were pathetically dirty, I had to clean them myself. It was the first hotel I had ever stayed in with no iron, ironing board or hair dryer in the room. The most shock8ng was how bad the wifi is. It didn’t work if I was on the balcony at all and at best worked ok once a day.

I cannot for the life of me figure out the bad reviews! We checked in and our room was clean. No bugs, no mold, bathroom is lovely, swimming pool is sparkling. Tons of clean towels left for us. The tv has tons of channels and the internet worked perfectly

I have been going to Virginia Beach for the Past 4 years, I go twice a year. I have always got great service. I would recommend this place to everyone. One of the main reasons I continue going here is because I Made a friend in Dennis. He is great. He has always went out of his way to help me and to make sure I was always happy and taken care of while I was there. You will not regret staying here. Ask for Dennis.

This was the worst hotel we stayed at. First when we checked in the room was dirty and we had mold in our ice bucket. Then that night when we went to bed we saw black mold on the ceiling. Office was closed so we had to stay. They moved is into another room, more mold so they scraped it off. Put all our food in the fridge and that night we ate the food from fridge and we all got sick. Found out it wasn’t working. Call the office but was told he would leave a note for the next day manager. The next day they had someone look at it and said it was just in defrost cycle and it was fine. I explained how we got sick because of it and I wanted them to pay to replace it and they said no it was my fault for not knowing it wasn’t working. Ask for a complete refund but they refused. Never ever stay there it was the worst vacation we have ever had.

If zero stars was an option, this is what this place would get. Please take the reviews into consideration and save your money by not staying here. There was mold in the shower, feces on the top of the fridge resembling rat defecation, greasy dark handprints on the wall, a dirty stove top, lots of little dark hairs left on the pillowcase from before (meaning it was not washed). I kept waking up itchy and just had dreams of rats and bugs crawling on me. It was outdated and the only perk was that customer service was kind. We even slept on top of the blankets and we’re cold because we feared laying our bodies directly on the sheets and unwashed pillow cases.

I’d give this hotel zero starts if I could. All of the other reviews are accurate. It’s dirty, smelly, and not worth the cheap price. They couldn’t even get wifi right; it stopped working about an hour after I got to my room. Speaking of the room, there wasn’t ANYTHING in it: no iron, hairdryer, soap, shampoo, paper, or pens. Not to mention the TV isn’t a flatscreen, it’s a regular old cable TV. The only hotel I’ve ever been in that didn’t have a flatscreen. Lastly, they take out the dirty sheets in a grocery cart.
I’ve stayed in MUCH better hotels for less. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to one of the resorts – that’s what I plan on doing.

Roachway Inn —
This place is dirty, and by that I mean that the only items cleaned are the sheets and towels. No bed bugs so that is a plus. Perhaps some carpet cleaning would come in handy. A 30 year old carpet which god knows if was ever cleaned. Slept fine and woke up without bites.
Close to the beach and half the price of other hotels. If you don’t like levitating in your hotel room spend the extra Dollars.

Definitely saw a escort /​prostitute there. A different guy every hour all weekend pretty much. Not a place to take kids there’s nothing family oriented about it cheap or not this place is horrible broken glass watched a guy pee of the balcony. Disgusting, disgusting disgusting
