THISREVIEWISNOTABOUTTHESERVICES offered at Salon Vivace. My complaint is the shop’s shabby interior, specifically the RECEPTION /WAITING area:. 1. Soiled, threadbare carpeting 2. Dirty painted walls 3. Dirty and chipped painted wood work I’ve been a client at Salon Vivace for several years, No effort has been made to improve this dismal space! .If a RECEPTION area reflects a owner’s attitude towards customers, then these conditions speak of an ownership that Is either lazy, cheap, or greedy. The fact that the staff must and does apply themselves and their skills within this environment is a testimony to THEM, and not the owners. I can’t say enough about the stylists and their abilities! Truly top notch professionals, on trend and continuing to enhance their skills through education. My hair is the best it’s ever been. I don’t like to be stuck in a single look and my stylist works with me to give me both what I want and what is practical for my hair type. She«gets» me and I am never disappointed.

I always have great experiences at this salon. Lesya makes you feel like family and is never rushing her job. I recommend her and this salon to anyone.

It’s a decent place but décor and pedicure chairs are outdated. Went for manicure pedicure combo and for what it cost the pedicure was sub par. Only one of us got a massage chair the other chairs didn’t massage. Each pedicure area was separated off so we couldn’t be together. Just not what we expected. Nice people but services could use some work. Mani/pedi combo cost $ 60. Most places charge half that

I’m not much of a salon/spa gal, so I don’t have many experiences to compare this place to. I received a $ 75 gift certificate to this place, so I did a wash/cut/style and makeup application before an evening holiday party. I wasn’t off to a get start because 1.) I didn’t get seen until 15 minutes after my appointment time, which made me a bit anxious since I was pressed for time and 2.) they did my makeup before my hair cut. The makeup section was disappointing. I asked for a smokey eye using copper/bronze colors and she didn’t seem to blend the colors in well. It also felt like she skimped out on little things, like applying lip pencil and eye shadow base. I’ve never had a makeup artist try to just put a layer of gloss on my lips… doesn’t seem to make much sense to me. Good job with the foundation though! She was friendly and open to suggestions/critiques, but I just felt like her skill level wasn’t there. The hair section went well. I didn’t do too much though: trim, long layers, and some loose waves. I liked how the woman doing my hair worked quickly/efficiently and wasn’t overly chatty. She also didn’t try to sell me any products, which I always appreciate. And my hair still looks good after I left the salon :)

I’ve had damaged toenails for years – especially on my right great toe, where the nail bed had been surgically killed about ten years ago. I’ve been embarrassed about my feet for years. This is the only salon in Virginia that offers the LCM procedure/product«Barefoot» which is a fungus resistant gel that«fills» the damaged nail and makes it look normal again. It’s a new product to this salon but Darci made me feel right at home and took her time to make sure it looked perfect! I was completely comfortable and although she made conversation, it was in good taste and not overly chatty. I liked the atmosphere of the place and they seem pretty busy(I couldn’t get an appointment for the day I originally wanted to go). The price was reasonable: $ 60.00 for the Barefoot procedure + full pedicure. I asked how much it would be when I made my appointment and was quoted $ 60 and it was exactly 60 when I went to check out – no extras and they had already figured tax into the final cost. Now my feet look and feel GREAT! I am definitely going back!

I came here recently with a bridal party, and we all received manicures and pedicures upstairs. It was a perfect spot to have a light brunch, mimosas and socialize with everyone. We had three ladies working on all of us, and they were very friendly and professional. I noticed they offered the latest Shellac manicure and the front desk staff was incredibly friendly. But I wasn’t totally blown away. After a 20% tip, I paid $ 80 per person for three of the women in our group(one was the Bride, who got a french manicure). That seemed very steep for the services provided and area. Also, since the décor was dated and a bit shabby, I just couldn’t get down with the darkly lit space. Instead of relaxing spa atmosphere, for me it screamed sad and a bit dank.

Very nice experience yesterday. Called in the morning to see if they had any available pedicure appointments — sure did, at 4. Awesome for me!(By the way, the are open 7 days a week!) The girl on the phone asked if it was my first visit and, since it was, told me the entrance to their parking lot was hidden coming from the Town Center area. Thank you for the notice! The nail tech, Lisa, was great. Took me back a few minutes early, offered up tea, coffee or water and let me relax with a warm, lavender neck wrap while my feet soaked. I appreciated her attention to detail and asking my preference along the way. She is a self proclaimed quiet person so if you desire sitting back and enjoying some time to yourself — she is the woman for you! The pedicure chairs are upstairs(away from the front desk and salon floor) and separated from each other. The 4 stars is because the tech on the other side of the divider talked loudly to her client the entire time; while the client did very little talking back… Other than that it was a great experience and I will be back! As a side note — the girl at the front desk let me know as of July 1, they will no longer be able to process tips on credit cards.

I visited Salon Vivace for a mani/pedi. The salon itself is kind of shabby inside and looks like it could use a renovation, but the service I received was no reflection of this. The technician that I saw was very friendly and easy to talk to. She really took her time and did an excellent job. I never felt like she was rushed or took shortcuts. As part of the pedicure I received, she gave a great massage and carefully shaped my nails and applied the polish very neatly. She gave me suggestions on how I could improve my dry skin and cuticles. My nails look great! I also feel that the services I received were priced fairly. In my opinion, a much better value that those cheap-o nail salons that are on every corner!

See my 1st review for detailed info. This is just an update– I received a $ 20 coupon in the mail from Salon Vivace good towards my next visit! I was asked to fill out a card w/some of my info(including my birth date) the first time I went to Salon Vivace. So, I got the coupon in the mail b/c November is my birthday month! That’s awesome! What a nice gesture!

I had a gift certificate for a Hydrating Pedicure, and it was lovely. Lisa did a nice job with the pedi and it lasted about 50 minutes. It is a nice facility and they offer many spa services. I did have to wait about 15 minutes past my appointment time. Also, the salon faces Va Beach Blvd but you can get there off Great Neck — turn in past the Hardee’s by Taverna.
