Always like a kid in a candy store in hardware stores and this one didn’t disappoint. Doing interior work in a soon to open store, I frequently come to this location to get various items. Selecting paint for floor and walls, the associate was quick and helpful in choosing and mixing the chosen color. Satisfied all my wood, screw, drywall, and mud needs. Darn good deals in their clearance end caps. There is always something there that I just have to pick up. There was no wait when I was done shopping, even during lunch.

I have a feeling that if I had needed any help here O would have gotten it no problem at all. I came to drop off a bag of CFL bulbs for proper disposal. FYI you are not supposed to drop them into your trash/landfill. The gentleman that received my bulbs joked about how kind it was for me to bring this gift just for him LOL. Twice I was asked by staff if I needed help and was assured that if I did need help someone was available. Every staff member that passed me greeted me. It was a good visit.

This is a nice Home Depot. The workers are very friendly and are always ready to help if you have a question. I asked this gentleman that work there what the best way to hang photos up and he showed me these hook things. It’s just for hanging photography. Unfortunately I am really goofy when it comes to stuff like that so I stuck with basic nails. Which by the way is just as bad. I’m awful at home improve to stuff. Ha ha. Any how I love this location and I will always come here for my home improvement needs. Even though I am clueless. Oh and they have a nice selection in the gardening area too if you’re into planting flowers and all that.

WARNING: Service and selection is great, but there’s a man I’ve noticed roaming the parking the parking lot looking in the back of truck beds and asking people with kids for money.

Pros: Clean store and exceptional customer service at this Home Depot, fast check-out, the best selection of ‘Simple Human’ trashes… You can register to receive promotions per text messages and e-mails. Cons: Except if there is a promotion, their prices tend to be high. For example, the prices on trash bags were more expensive than at Walmart.

Jake from State Farm. Alex from Target. I introduce you to Matt from flooring(at The Home Depot). Trying to figure out how to fill some empty space in my living room for a future episode of MTV Cribs(far from ever being famous episode). I originally went THD for a few ideas and after sitting down with Matt from flooring and drawing out sketches of the area I ended up buying a bunch of new things and I’m excited about the new setup. I can’t speak on how all this will look. After all, it was three dudes figuring out design stuff. Men practically suck at all things interior design-related. What I’m reviewing is the level of service and the customer experience. Matt from flooring made this home project very enjoyable. Too bad I didn’t snap a picture to make this dude go viral. That’s just flat out weird.

Your typical home depot, bathrooms recently remodeled and clean, well kept and stocked freindly attentive floor staff. There is a german gentleman that works the contractors register and at 6 am he is the nicest guy you want to meet always smiling!

Organized and clean as all THD’s tend to be. I knew exactly what I wanted(a new touchplate and light switch as the new chandelier doesn’t «understand» the dimmer switch) so I was in and out quickly. I didn’t have to interact with any of the associates in the store. I was even able to use the self-checkout. Parking lot was quite busy and there were a few carts and trolleys about.

After purchasing our house a friend of mine advised me to purchase Sherwin Williams paint. After painting a couple of rooms, moved the furniture in, we noticed the paint started to chip off the walls. So after checking Consumers Reports magazine, we found that Home Depot’s Behr brand of paint was the best bang for your buck, and that Sherwin Williams was the most expensive with poor reviews. Lesson learned, read consumer reports before jumping in with both feet. What made us the most happiest was that Home Depot can match any brand of paint with using Behr paint. For example, if your at Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore and you just happen across your dream color, take the paint chip to Home Depot and they can match it perfectly. Another thing I enjoy is checking out their models of kitchen. Even tho we aren’t ready to remodel the kitchen at this time, I have been looking into new ideas.

This is a very good location. Sometimes it is hit or miss with the customer service. One day you can get an associate that is super helpful and other days an associate will look at you in disgust that you requested their help. Overall, a nice and organized store that has some great classes and knowledgable people that will prepare you for your DIY project.

Can’t really bash Home Depot with a bad review, because I do all of my tool/home here. I stopped in looking for a 14×18×1 furnace filter, cuz the flimsy ones in my apartment that they provide dont filter crap Well after walkig in I only found a12×18×1, which was is a little short. But they were all out of that size and one of the employees stressed that this location is smaller than the military hwy location. Needless to say I also checked at Lowes which was a JOKE. They didnt even have a filter with x18 in it. Walmart had an 18×18×1 which is better than the 12×18×1 that Home Depot had. Looks like I’ll have to order online or stick with the Walmart size this time.

This is a good store, clean and always organized. The staff is usually helpful but it seems like there are fewer of them these days. They do a really good job matching paint colors.

If you’re lucky and have both a Home Depot and a Lowe’s close by, for we do-it-yourselfers it generally boils down to which has 1) the best prices, 2) the best selection, and 3) the best assistance in answering our dumb questions. In the Great Neck/Little Neck sections of the Beach we are lucky, indeed: both are located on Va Beach Blvd, within maybe two miles of one another. This Home Depot is the smaller of the two stores(by maybe 25%), and has been here for probably 20 years; Lowe’s is maybe 5 years old at this location, is larger, but its staff hasn’t yet settled into the same level of competence as is found at our Home Depot. Even though it’s the smaller store, Home Depot has never failed to have what I’ve needed for my fix-up projects; the only inventory advantage at Lowe’s that I’ve noticed is in their garden center, where their nurserystock selection is usually a little better, especially with trees and shrubs. Price-wise, there’s maybe a small advantage to Home Depot, at least between our two stores. So decide yourself: Home Depot for good selection in a smaller and older store, excellent staff, and maybe a small price advantage. The one thing I have noticed over the years is that there seems to be more men shopping Home Depot, and more ladies at the other place…
