The Sage Lady

Ok. I know this is an odd category in which to submit a review; but what the heck. Having lived in areas of the country where new age trends are no longer trends, but pretty standard, where you can find astrologers, psychics, tarot readers, chakra, psychic and holistic healers, aura readers about every 5 miles, I found a dearth of all of these in the Triangle. I don’t call myself a true believer, but I do enjoy the mini-​therapy. And I’ve met some really nice people.
Because it’s been a few years since my friends’ bachelorette party where I had an astrological chart done (seems too ordinary after all the other options in this genre), I decided to give it a try again. The person with whom I met, a perfectly lovely and adorable woman, has an unerring talent for telling if people are lying. I tested it (as I am inclined to do, skeptic that I can be) and she picked up on it immediately. She never said anything, but I could tell by the look on her face she knew. Impressive. Catherine said she doesn’t need to meet with people because she can tell when someone is lying over the phone. (Someone needs to tell me how I develop that useful skill.)

She prepared a very thorough astrological chart, talking about the past year, the upcoming year, and personal challenges past and still to come. She even recorded it (a first for me) which she then e-​mailed to me. Since I tend to forget everything within a day or two, this was a nice surprise.
Whether you’re a believer or not, a phone or in-​person meeting with Catherine, the Natural Sage, is a fun, odd, adventure. And like it or not, you might actually be surprised by her perspicacity.
Catherine has relocated since I went to visit. bummer :-(
