In the area never tried this restaurant, so I stopped by. Decided to build my own pasta. Penne with roasted red pepper sauce and meatballs, with olives. The service was great and the meal was awesome. I will visit this place again!

I’d advise going somewhere, anywhere else. The food is below average. The people are clueless and helpless. The facility is ok, but needs cleaning. I’m not sure, how/why people like this place. Go to Chichos or Shore Drive. You’ll find, better food, service and a better facility.

I haven’t been here in a couple of years. Went here tonight with the kids and we ordered garlic rolls, caprese salad and a larger pepperoni pizza. The garlic rolls were stale and dry. The caprese was good but took 20 minutes to come out. The pizza took another 10 minutes after that. The pizza was super greasy and the crust was burnt. We used all the napkins to soak up the grease before eating. The waitress, Leann, was fantastic though!

I LOVE there Tomato & Spinach pizza! And my daughter was an instant fan of their buffalo chicken pizza. Crust and ingredients are picture perfect in look and taste.

Safe Italian dishes although many pasta dishes are pretty bland. Service is fantastic. It is most always great especially from the guy with dark hair and glasses(we secretly call him superman). Overall we enjoy this spot for a quick bite and decent brew.

Had my first bad experience at Ynot and I have ate at most of the locations. I went here with my girlfriend to grab some lunch. The place was not too crowded and we got seated right away. Well we waited and waited and no one would come by to take our drink order. We waited a good 15(no exaggeration) before we decided to just get up and leave. We watched other tables that got there after us get serviced. On the way out I expressed to the chef what happened and just had to get out of there because I was so frustrated. So we took our money to Papa’s Greek family restaurant and had awesome food and service.

I am one full and happy vegan right now! Had pizza w artichoke hearts, black olives, spinach, garlic and daiya cheese, and a vegetarian salad w daiya to make it vegan. That salad was amazing! Ordered online and found a five dollar off coupon. Delivery at 6 was about 40 mins from order time. This location is soooooo much better than the others!

I am so happy to find an Italian restaurant with so many gluten free options! I’ve had their gluten free deluxe pizza, as well as the gluten free cheese ravioli. The pizza is most definitely the best gluten free pizza I’ve had — most gluten free pizza crusts are very chewy — but not theirs! I will be ordering from there more often.

Absolutely delicious, fresh, tasty pizza served piping hot. I am glad to drive to there and eat my pizza in-house since they don’t deliver to my neighborhood — totally worth it. Wish there were more of these closer to my house.

My brother suggested here for a late lunch because he loves this place! I must say the service was really good! And the pizza tastes very fresh! The prices were very reasonable also! Great environment! Would definitely be back!

Excellent, tastes like home! I haven’t had buffalo chicken stuffed pizza since the last time I was home in NY and this was amazing! So worth driving to get since 4.5 miles is too far for delivery LOL! Got a custom chop salad too, it was also delicious! Loved it!

Omg! Any time I start a review like that it made an impression. Friday at work with no lunch or breakfast with hunger pains rolling in at 11 I knew it was going to be an order in day. I decided to go with Ynot for a sandwich. I was torn between philly steak and pizza steak. Yes, essentially the same sub but a sauce does make a world of difference. I haven’t had a pizza steak since the early 2000s in SC with my mom. We both thought that one was yummy but I had no idea it could get better. Those fried onions, fresh bread(which was GIANT), copious amounts of steak and cheese and a light but very fresh pizza sauce. The sub didn’t last long enough for a pic it was that good. I gave my husband half and this man rarely comments on the taste of food(it usually doesn’t last long enough on his palate to warrant a review) but it got his seal of approval. I also ordered fries(nothing to write home about) and some tiramisu. While the tiramisu was very good I was put off by the 6.99 price. For that price it should have come twice the actual size. This would have been 5 stars were it not for the high prices. On my bill was a small Stromboli, the pizza steak, tiramisu and fries. It came to $ 30. It was excellent and you’re paying for it.

Food was very good, caprese Salad was particularly tasty. Hostess was friendly but server was indifferent and focused more on larger groups. Without the server it’s a 5

I WAS a long time customer of ynot. I would regularly order delivery to my office as I don’t get a lunch break. Recently I have seen the service and quality go down hill. The Kempsville location is the absolute worst. Today I ordered a SALAD and soda pop for delivery. Over an hour later I called the store and was informed that it hadn’t even left the store yet! I was quickly put on hold and when the girl came back on, she informed me that she could guarantee that it would leave the store in 20 more minutes. I cancelled the order, and the girl hung the phone up. DON’T GOTOTHEKEMPSVILLESTORE… Good luck. PS I had to give one star, but its a black star. They lost a long time customer.

This place is always wonderful. I normally go to the one on first colonial rd but I have been to this one a few times. Both locations have great customer service & great food. Their pizza is great & their pasta sauces are really freaking good. But I always seem to get the same 2 things. Garlic knots which the dipping sauce isnSO good, turkey & cheese hot sub with red onions, lettuce, extra tomato,& oil & vinegar. Overall anything u get here will be great. I’ve been coming here for years & years & I’ll continue to for many more!

They sat us quickly and served is pretty quickly as well. They didn’t bring any bread until the food came out, which was a little strange. I’ve ordered their pizza many times and don’t think much of it. To me it’s just your standard fare run-of-the-mill bland New York style pizza. We all avoided the pizza this time and the rest of their menu is significantly better. My kids got the gorilla cheese(basically a giant grilled cheese sandwich on pizza bread) and the kids ravioli and both enjoyed it. My gf got the gnocchi and said it was pretty good as well. My buffalo chicken Stromboli was delicious.
They are a little pricey but it’s a nice change when we want close semi-authentic Italian.

Yet another update: I have ordered several times now during the day, where before I had only ordered at night. I am not sure what the difference is, but the day shift has gotten my order right ever single time. Delivery is always prompt and friendly as usual. The day shift definitely deserves an extra star.

First time customers. Ordered deluxe and vegetarian gluten free pizzas with mint chocolate gelato for dessert. Gluten free crust was good, veggie pizza was just shy of burnt but not bad enough to wait for a redo. Service was fairly efficient, wait staff took nearly ten minutes to show up and offer drinks. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we’ll be sure to be more assertive on our next visit.

I’ll start by noting an oddness about many of the more negative reviews. Many seem to lead of saying they’ve repeatedly been customers with a good experience yet chose to wait until after numerous good visits, to make a negative review for one bad trip. At a minimum it seems a terribly skewed view since those same people failed to give any balance by offering good reviews too. We’ve been a repeat customer, maybe a dozen times and never experienced bad service of «awful» food others described. On the contrary, the one visit we had an erroneous order which was promptly remedied with no complaint. We enjoy the chopped salad selection. Mama always said to eat your veggies and it is easy with the fresh product this restaurant provides. Alternately, we’ve on occasion ordered fresh spinach cooked in oil and garlic which has been very appetizing. The regional favorite of garlic knots is a winner as well. But for this recent visit we tried the pepperoni roll variant and enjoyed it as well. The pizza is well prepared, hand tossed in the semi open kitchen that the kids can watch. Speaking of kids, you can ask the waitress for a chunk of dough the kids can play with and mold while waiting on your orders. All toppings available although we typically opt for a deluxe and are yet to be disappointed. Now in fairness, be aware as with any large home made hand toss pie, there is sometime a pooling of oils at the center partifically with a lot of meats and sometimes makes the center crust softer. There is also a dessert bar with a nice selection of italian pastries and treats. The company also does good work sponsoring summer entertainment at Town Center and in addition to their other restaurant site, sells at Harbor Park during Tides games for those with a hankering for the hometown pizza company. We will continue to enjoy this restaurant for years to come I believe.

Meh. it’s just another chain pasta & pizza restaurant. I always come in and take pizza to go but this time we decided to sit in and try the pastas. Place was very crowded for a rainy night. I got the eggplant Parmesan with marinara sauce with penne. Sauce was tangy like they just opened up a can of tomato sauce and poured it over pasta. Hubby’s Speghatti and meatballs had that same Speghatti sauce and taste as my eggplant Parmesan, So it’s your basic Tomatoe sauce for all the dish. Side salad comes with your entrée but apparently Caesar salad is extra. Also gluten-free noodles are extra. And the waitress never told me this, so the bill was more than I expected. They should put this somewhere on the menu if the staff is not trained to relay this information to the customers. I’ll just stick to the pizza.
