It is a Friday afternoon and my wife and I are locked out of our vehicle in Visalia. A crazy family member has our key and fob held hostage and will not return it until hell freezes over but that is another story. I made a phone call to Carr’s and asked if he was able open and make a key for our ’98 Honda Civic. He concurred and was able to meet us within an hour. He begins to work on the vehicle of what looked like he was trying to make measurements inside the lock so he could cut a key. After a few minutes of this, he tries to gain entry into the vehicle by using some kind of wire. Now I’m thinking that this does not make any sense since he is supposed to be a locksmith and I’m wondering if he even knows what he is doing. After 30 minutes of fumbling, he tells me that he is not able to do it. He walks back and forth, goes back to his van opening and closing doors and tries again for another 10 minutes and finally states that he is not able to accomplish the task because of his«nerves» and some other lame excuses. I ask if he knows anyone else that is able to cut a key and he does not. Carr’s cannot open a Honda Civic which is one of the most popular vehicles to break into. He leaves. WTF. Can you say«lame»? I felt like an idiot for wasting my time and not calling AAA earlier. AAA arrives in 30 minutes, has our vehicle open in less than 10 minutes, and having it ready to be towed home in another 10. I am not surprised this business is closed.

I was at school when I lost my only key to my car. I called Carr’s Locksmith service and he came out within a few hours to make me two new ones! He was very polite and definitely saved me! I’d definitely call this guy again! Thanks!

Our doorknob mechanism to the garage-to-house door broke. One quick scan of the BBB website and we placed a call to Carr’s lockmith service. A quick phone call and one hour later he was at our house, and ten minutes later the lock was fixed. He took the time to explain to me what had broken and what he had to do to fix it, etc — which was a nice simple courtesy I appreciated — not knowing my ass from my elbow when it comes to door locks. He was courteous, efficient, and reasonably priced. If you ever need a locksmith, you need to call this gentleman first!
